🥺 Is there a certain type of moment or common interaction between your characters that never fails to put you in your feels?

Her hair was wild, matted with sweat, and he realized belatedly her cap and scarf were nowhere to be seen. 

“You said ye struck your head?” He kept his voice low, pushing her hair back.

“Och, not at all.” He brushed her hair from her shoulder as Huey tensed.

There was no one waiting to brush back his wet hair and tuck him into bed, but the small stack of C.D. cases waiting on his pillow were a nice surprise.

“It was, um.” She waggled her metal leg.

“Ah.” He brushed back her hair again as she continued.

He reached out and tucked the beanie more securely on her head, brushing hair back from her brow.

Scrooge choked on a laugh.

“Hello, again, Della-darlin’,” he managed.

Dewey’s heart clenched watching Scrooge brush back her bangs.

Della pulled a face at him.

“I think he’s just returned, lass,” Scrooge said, nodding to the window. He took her hand, brushing back her hair again. “Go and ask him. I’m sure he wouldnae want to miss a single moment with you.”

He tucked her limp hand back around her son, and she didn’t stir as he combed through her bangs, brushing them back from her face.

 She said nothing as he rose beside her, but as he ran a hand over her hair, she leaned her temple into his side.

jfc, apparently at some point I decided this was sweet, and never wrote anything else. Thats embarrassing.

I did not expect Sixpence to have as many ups and downs when I started it. Chapter 7 is a ride in and of itself.

Someone already asked me this, but luckily I think I’m so gosh darn funny that I have more than one answer. So here’s one from Up, Up, and Away!

“Yeah! Don’t worry guys,” Dewey said as he stepped by Gandra’s side, “we got this!”

“We?” Gandra asked as she looked down at Dewey in annoyance.

“Yeah! I wanna help you two!” Dewey said as he looked up at Gandra with an excited grin. “That supervillain stands no chance against the collaborative team-up of Gizmoduck, Agent Dee, and their super sidekick Dewey! I even got a team name for our little group, The Super Spies! You know cause Gizmoduck is a superhero, you’re a spy, and yours Dew-ly is a little bit of both. I’ve helped Darkwing Duck on his superhero adventures, and I helped Launchpad beat Double-O-Duck which I know is a video game, but like it’s a VR video game, so it’s pretty much the same thing. I’m basically the Ultimate Sidekick!”

“Oh really? That’s cool and all, but did you not hear what I just told your family, kid?” Gandra grumbled.

“Nerp! I was too busy looking at the sleeves on your shirt!” Dewey answered. “I really dig your style! Did your shirt come like that or did you cut them yourself?!”

“I-..what?” Out of all the responses Dewey could have given Gandra, that was one of them that she was not ready for.

Oh Dewey and Gandra, I really do think they’d make for a fun pair. I feel like Dewey would be immune to Gandra’s dry wit and sarcasm cause it’d just go over his head. Also. Do you think Gandra cut the sleeves of her shirt herself or did it come like that?

🎢Which of your fics would you call your wildest ride?

The next Indi-Quack! I think will hold that title when I finish the thing, but I guess I should pick something that people can actually read. I think I’ll go with It’s All Downhill from Here! from Home for the Holidays! I wanted the fic to have the sensation of going down hill and then up that hill, only to suddenly go down that hill again. Plus I love all the setup for the comedic shenanigans poor Donald and Drake get caught into cause of their bad luck

I guess also any of the Indi-Quack! stories where someone unknowingly take drugs

🎶Do you listen to music while you write? What song have you been playing on loop lately?

So here’s a little secret about my fanfics. If I have a song at the beginning or the very end of my fic, chances are I listened to that song a billion times while writing that story. If a character sings a song in one of my stories, chances are listened to that song a billion times

One WIP I’ve been trying to finish for awhile now has me listening to two different songs on loop while I’m writing it. One is the song that is paired with the story (which is also the fic’s title) and the other is a song that one of the characters in the story is going to sing. But I don’t want to say what it is, I’ll just say it’s a P!NK song

❌ What’s a trope you will never write?

I don't know if this is necessarily a trope, but I will NEVER write a fic that romanticizes mental illness. Back in the day, when I wrote x reader fics and took requests, someone requested something that bordered on that. I couldn't find a way around the romanticization aspect, and remains to be the ONLY fic request I've ever turned down.

Like I'm okay with writing trauma fics, but I refuse to write one that romanticizes PTSD, depression, etc. because that's not okay and gives misinformation. Some people - especially when they're young - use fic as a form of therapy and almost take it too seriously. I won't feed into unhealthy coping mechanisms because they once read it in a fic and think the romanticization is healthy and okay.

I'm needy and need validation, so if I don't get comments and feedback with every single chapter, I will give up on the project.

I don't want to put something out there and not get any comments and feedback because then I stop seeing a point. I only do something if I'm obligated to do it.
