hey anon, if you mean my blog in general I use emojis as a tagging system for my characters since it's easier to keep track of because I'm usually on the app

they're linked in my pinned post but here's a breakdown of who's who and the symbolism (or lack thereof) behind them. gonna put this under a read more since it's gonna be long:

roster emojis:

🍃 = paris. a lively leaf floating through the wind with no sense of direction. paris and hector share the same motifs as being leaves that fell off the tree and how far they've traveled

🍂 = hector. a dried up rotten leaf that stopped drifting in the wind, very fragile and brittle. it will crumble under the slightest pressure

🥀 = andromache. a wilting rose. the tatlongharis have a flower motif so I wanted to keep up that symbolism with andi being a dying rose with no water (aka emotional support)

💀 = kirke. a skull. it's kinda funny because this emoji is used in comedic situations but it represents kirke's undead state and her not truly being alive as a cloud of nanomachines. decay is a common theme for her

⚰️ = yves. a coffin and a leftover from yves' earlier characterization as an undead, or half-dead, void knight. I may end up changing this once I finalize his new lore since it doesn't fit his aesthetic anymore (less immortal aether vampire being and more psycho mantis mgs mixed with alma wade f.e.a.r.)

🎐 = tauvane. a stationary wind chime. I actually couldn't find a nice emoji for her in the beginning since the newer ones don't display correctly on web browsers (at least for me since I'm still on win10). it doesn't really fit her current lore but her and achille share weather motifs

🌻 = evander. a bright sunflower that falls in line with the tatlongharis flower theme. it represents happiness and a good life, which is the total opposite of evander's backstory and personality

🌱 = andromache & paris. a sprout or seedling that struggles to grow. keeping with the general plant/nature theme with the tatlonghari x wormwood families, the relationship between parent and child is slow going, but there's a chance for it to bloom

🌧️ = tauvane & achille. a sad rain cloud. this is also a leftover from their previous characterizations but it seems to fit their current stages of development since tragedy is a motif shared between mother and son

— A performing arts student. They developed their passion for singing and writing, or music in general, at a very young age. Y/N started releasing music during their 1st year in college as a hobby but has turned into something more regular now that they are a fairly known indie artist with multiple songs charting. 25% of the funds they get from music goes towards their medical treatment. The genres they usually write and sing about tend to have romantic and coming-of-age themes and has an affinity for r&b song productions.

— Xinyan is a trainee for a girl group under the same entertainment agency Y/N is signed under. They entered ABYSS Entertainment during their 2nd year when they first met. Xinyan is Y/N's closest friend. She is currently studying under the performing arts and has performed with Y/N in small-scale events in their batch.

★ LUMINE

— Lumine is a humanities major is currently the top student in her course. She is Y/N's childhood friend, a neighbor from when they still used to live in the same neighborhood with both of their parents. Lumine then met Xinyan in 2nd year when Xinyan came to visit Y/N to study and found Lumine lounging about and Aether crying out in dismay when he burnt some of the cookies he was cooking. Lumine additionally also runs a stan account on Twitter for her favorite girl group.

★ AETHER

— Aether is also a humanities major because he figured that the twins could cut down on transportation costs if they went home the same time. He is usually the moodmaker in the group and initiates outings seventy percent of the time. A rising content creator.

🏹 BONUS - The group decided to move in together (Xinyan stays at her group's dorm from Monday to Thursday, sleeping over from Friday to Saturday) by the time 3rd year came around. Their shared apartment is quite spacious (courtesy of Xinyan's financial aid) and is conveniently near to the campus.

I had the weirdest god damn dream and I believe part of the reason it happened was cause I read all the previous asks before so I wanna share it here for everyone.

For starters, the world has been taken over by a corrupt organisation that believes in one god and wants everyone to believe in them as well. They started taking over governments and ended up taking up the world in no time, forcing everyone to worship their god. There were three things you needed to do to worship their god: talk about the god, pray to the god and think only about the god; anyone who failed to do so would either get tortured brutally or outright killed.

Now here's where things kinda get more bizzare. Apparently, to get a hold of more people and monitor them, they decided to take over Genshin and change a lot of things in the game. First, they deleted all the regions so Teyvat was just one big continent named after one of most devout followers in the organisation. Then, they added a bunch of new world quests that talked about their god and achieving these quests wouldn't give you primogems but "good fate" that allowed you to pray for the god and get better rewards. These quests were acted our by fatui but they were portrayal are holy good people that were just trying to spread the message about their god (didn't see any harbringers and there wasn't a mention of them so maybe they don't exist here?). Lastly, all the characters had somehow become self aware and had to follow the same three rules or else they would be punished as well.

In the dream, I was fugitive who was playing this weird genshin. The fugitive didn't believe in the god but pretended to do so to save myself and my family. While playing the game, they decided to open the character menu to check my character's artifacts. When scrolling to Tighnari, he makes a comment about how ridiculous this new rules were and why anyone should follow it. The moment he says that, the screen freezes and becomes progressively more glitchy, slowly covering the whole screen until the only thing that was visible was Tighnari's shock face and his eyes slowly turning black.

"No, wait, I didn't--"

Then, the game restarts on it's own and when they open the character menu again, Tighnari's page is there but Tighnari himself is completely gone.

Afterwards, while playing as Cyno, Cyno makes a passing comment about not being able to find Tighnari and asks the player if they've seen him. They say no and Cyno is obviously disappointed but continues to do the quests together with them. Everything continues on as normal until he says something about their god had changed to another when Buer was already a good enough god for them and the entire screen freezes again. However, instead of the screen getting glitchy, the glitches appear at various parts of his body and slowly eat every part of him, forcing the player to watch as Cyno tries to fight off the mysterious glitchy sustenance until it leaves him with only his neck and his head.

He tries to scream but his vocal chords had long been eaten by the glitches. When the glitches completely swallow his body, they disappear and leave nothing on spot.

There are a few details I left out but typing this in the car is slowly making me carsick so I'll add some of em later djjxnxjx I blame all the faceless ayato and creepypasta stuff HAHHA

This was what the Loom of Fate operations was all about. Don't misunderstand her. She wasn't always like this. At first, her ascension to "Godhood" isn't for her own benefit.

That's because she couldn't take it anymore. She's finally lost it. Lumine couldn't handle the way you've been using everyone except her. Most of all: she feels insulted for your sake that no one cares enough to treat you with respect. In her twin's body, they force you to work commissions and isolate yourself on domains that barely give you proper artifacts. It fills her with rage to watch your party members fail to crit– it disgusts her.

If she could take out all these pests... All these "characters" that worship false Gods like Buer... Then maybe they'll finally recognize you as the one that should sit on the thrones of Celestia.

The first to go would be Xiao and Ganyu. Zhongli was too late to save his subjects.

Zhongli taught them to treat him with reverence. Zhongli taught them Filial piety.

He taught them to respect Rex Lapis. Of course his most loyal subjects would oppose a new ruler.

And there's nothing more painful to a loving parent than the loss of their child.

It was in their death that she realized:

"This feels... Fulfilling."

Yes. Yes, there's no need to change what has been done.

Lumine has gone through enough.

She'll be the overseer of this new world and you will be the one to serve her instead.

Perhaps you continued walking around genshin as a fugitive, thinking that these are all part of some major archon quest with a grand resolution of having Aether and Lumine confront each other head on for all the things she had done with the leylines.

That should be your next move... If you could manage to find Dainsleif.

You couldn't access any archon quests– sometimes you'd see the screen glitch and show where the next scene will take place only for it to be overtaken by messages about devoting yourself to this unnamed God.

Ha. Well. You've had your fun playing the game, right?

I saw that your headcanon requests are open once more, so here I am! Though, I'd like to request something angsty? I'll write it out but also add a completely fluffy one if you're not alright with angst.

Angst;; Lumine, Aether and them finding out that their s/o had been with Celestia all along, betraying them at the end of their journey, forcing them to re-live their time in Teyvat once more. How would they react to being separated again? With only the Traveler having their memories in check?

Fluff ;; Aether and Lumine comfort after a nightmare headcanons? Would also like to add platonic Paimon into the mix, since she does care about people. I imagine Paimon would try her best to cheer up the Traveler's friend too, probably by being silly and offering to be called emergency food just to see the friend smile.

It had been a long and challenging journey for Lumine. But she was finally going to take care of the Abyss and get her brother back.

She had met many people along the way; one of those was her S/O, who was her rock. She couldn't have made it this far without them.

Except as soon as she was united with her brother again, the nameless god appeared and gestured for Lumine's S/O to come forward.

To Lumines horror, they obeyed the god and left Lumine's side to stand by hers, staring down at them with cold, lifeless eyes.

"You think I loved you? Do you think anyone here actually loves you? Your just everyone's errand girl."

It was all lie from the beginning. Even how they met by accidentally bumping into each other was orchestrated from the start.

Lumine could feel her heart shattering, anger and pain filling the cracks.

She was so shocked, so broken that she missed the god using her powers, and before Lumine knew it, she was alone again, falling through an empty abyss before passing out.

When she awoke, she was back in Teyvat once more, and it was like nothing she did had ever happened.

But Lumine was different now. She was much colder, crueler. This time around, she wasn't known as a kind and resourceful traveler.

She was a woman on a path of vengeance.

After all this time, Aether had finally done it, Lumine was back by his side.

The journey had taken longer than he had hoped, but he had everything he could need now.

He made many friends along the way and met the love of his life. Finally, he felt like things were complete.

"To be honest… I didn't think that you would do it. I would say it's a shame that I have to ruin it all now, but I don't care."

Aether almost hoped that it was a joke at first, but seeing the look in his S/O's eyes was something he would never forget.

They were so cold, not the shining light he was used to with his lover. How had they been hiding it all this time?

"I really hope there are no hard feelings, Aether… I just did what I had to do for Celestia."

The ground opened below Aether, and he fell into the black nothingness below.

When he came to, he was back in the ocean, being woken up by paimon.

He didn't understand why nobody remembered him. Every connection he had made with people was gone.

Aether continued to be the fantastic traveler again, but he wasn't the same as before.

He was kind, but there was an emptiness to him, like he was going through the motions. Everyone could sense it, and his friendships from before were never the same

He was a shell of the man he once was.
