Lil vent doodle. I'm gonna ramble so I'll put it under the cut if you wanna read! Though, there's mention of death so, heads up if that makes you uncomfy!

I've yet to really delve into Rump's relationship with the rest of the band in a proper post yet but I'm always daydreaming about it. While Rump is closest to Stu, they have a friendship/bond with Russel with the mutual understanding of death/loss. Watching someone you love and know your entire life suddenly die in front of you, helplessly trying everything to keep the light in their eyes is... heavy, to say the least. This, I feel like, is something Russel would be the most understanding of considering what he went through with Del.

A part of me wants to give them like buddy tattoos or some little charms/trinkets they have. Like an hourglass or wilting flowers. Something to represent their friendship and correlate with the phrase "Momento Mori."

I would like to make a separate post explaining their story from phases 4 to current. I've got the start written in a separate post. I'm still mad anxious to share it, though. In time... maybe soon. If the world wants to be nice...

All the cool kids did the "Put your OC/Sona in the Phase 3 character sheet" and I wanted to give it a shot! While they aren't around until phase 4, this was still fun to play about with.

First three below here are current wips. I'm redoing old art in an attempt to better match Jaime's style. It's rough but its... well, it's something, I suppose. Def gonna make their eyes optional when drawing them.

These later ones might not ever be finished so I'll toss them here. Nothing bad- just compacting the post. :3

I think the oldest thing here is the first one, which was done at the release of Silent Running. Rest is self indulgent fodder. The bear mask is from listening to this song's chorus. (If that one is too overwhelming, there is also this version. c: )

Woe Gorillaz OC/Sona at ye.

I've been in a rut for the past couple of months, drawing wise. Figured I could dump some WIPs of this lummox until I can get a groove going and figure out how I'd like this dip to look. Heads up: I added a ramble bio that I have for them so far under the cut. It's unorganized and subject to change.

A reserved but goofball roadie who started this line of work after many failed attempts as a performer. Turns out, it's more fun working backstage instead of on stage. You don't get as much stuff thrown at you... by the audience, at least. (That's what they'd tell you. Not because they have stage fright or something. That'd be ridiculous.)

They work for Gorillaz during phase 4 and go by numerous pseudonyms. All nothing serious. Their personal favorite to go by is "Rumpy" (Cause 'The Almighty Butthole' is too long, apparently). A certain blue haired singer would be the only one to talk to them that wasn't always work related. Usually to say hello or ask if they've seen a specific rock that ran away again. They induldged him when he stopped to chat, listening to whatever was on his mind with earnest and amusement.

Inspired by Eddie Riggs, they respect the code of a good roadie to stay in the shadows, make the band look good, and keep them safe. A focused workaholic that seems cold and abrasive but, really, they're a big, heavyset softy who's always living in their head.

2-D and them start a relationship midway through phase 6 after eventually befriending each other throughout their work. Rumpy symbolized it by dying a streak of blue on their bangs, which fades very quickly to a teal, then a green. They always take time to redye it according to Stu's hue.

2-D also learns their real name, but that's a secret kept between them.

TBHH we got together FAST i think it was maybe 2 months absolute max before it ws official. in the canon zombee x stu storyline they were on/off 13 [!!] yrs before they got married lmao
