Jokes on you, I, too, still think of dad!akaashi and his stupid friends who conspire against him with their precious niece 👀❤️

Emmy, they are all menaces! Akaashi is going THROUGH IT when it comes to available babysitters.Bokuto is a clumsy gigant, Konoha is a enabler that pimps out his kid and Yukie...well, she's mostly harmless when there's no tea party involved.

(There was an incident where baby Akaashi naively offered the cookie platter to Yukie thinking she'd do the same thing daddy does when hes invited to the tea parties, munch on it slowly, as a well-mannered noble. Instead, Yukie inhaled all the cookies like a starving angry dragon. It was a whole thing and baby Akaashi now refrains from inviting her for tea time)

The heavens finally open up for Akaashi Keiji when, after having to bring his baby along to work with him, they stop to have lunch at his favorite onigiri shop. And lo and behold, the Onigiri man himself is at the counter with a baby propped on his hip too (hello, baby tsumu is the #1 helper of Onigiri Miya. She gets her own employee of the month plaque and all.)

Anyway, baby Miya and baby Akaashi become friends really quickly during Keiji's lunch time, which is kind of a nice surprise to Osamu (look that girl's father is Atsumu, no way that Samu isn't gonna worry about his niece's socialization skills!). When its time to bid their goodbyes, both men feel their hearts breaking at the sight of teary eyed babies hugging each other, so Osamu asks Akaashi to let his baby stay for the rest of the day, this way the way the girls can enjoy each others conpany a little more. Osamu assures him, that since his brother had a emergency that required Osamu's last minute babysitting service, he's not really doing much work for that day anyway, just supervising staff & going over a few things in his office — where baby Miya has her own desk, with crayons, stickers, and books full of pictures to color, and she's excited to share with her new friend! And because this much better than what Keiji gets with his own babysitters back in Tokyo, he agrees.

At the end of the day, Akaashi stops by a closed onigiri miya to pick up his baby, and when Osamu leads him to the office in back of the shop, Keiji is greeted by the loveliest sight. On a small couch Osamu keeps in the corner of the office, the two girls ar4 fast asleep next to each other, sharing a blanket and holding hands, and Keiji notices how they have matching nail polish.

This is the most peaceful Keiji ever felt after a babysitting service, and he can't even begin to thank Osamu enough, but he will at least try to convey his gratitude. Is not untill he turns arounds to speak Osamu, that he fully takes in the state the man is in. There is glitter stickers glued all over his face, crooked attemps at braids poking out of his black baseball cap and... is that blue eyshadow under his left eyebrow?

He called that she was gonna be a girl, he knew she’d be wrapped around his finger, so when Atsumu and you finally were looking at names, Osamu probably pops his head over the back of the couch, mid-chew and lets his eyes glaze over the back. “See any you like?” You ask, and Atsumu jumps because he didn’t know Samu was behind him HA- and osamu smiles and is like, “I’m loving Hisako.”

“I prefer Atsumu Junior,” the blond pouts.

“Hisako,” you hun dreamily. “I love it, Samu… Miya Hisako.”

also also, i can see when all 4 miyas come back to the twins hometown in hyogo to family events and what not, everyone stays in their childhood home. and in the weekend mornings, Osamu strolls around the farmer's market with little Hisako, the same way his toddler self would do it with Mama Miya back in the days (tsumu rarely woke up early enough to make it, and even if he did he was a grumpy baby in the mornings. it was everyone's best interest to let him sleep in lol)

You're sitting beside him and all his old teammates have gathered around for an Inarizaki VBC reunion of sorts. It's late; everyone is sipping on the remains of something and throwing conversation away. There is an unspoken stillness hanging in the air, no one wanting to start the goodnight and goodbyes.

That's when you seize the perfect moment to attack. But despite the lil' beer buzz he's on, Osamu is still perceptive— especially regarding your touches. So, you know you have to be careful. Slowly, your fingertips trace up their way to his breaking point. It seems absentmindedly— innocent even— as you chat with Aran and Akagi sitting across you.

It's not until your hands form a pinching stance above his knee that Osamu comes to a halt in his own conversation with Kita. But it's too late. He's doomed. You squeeze right on his sensitive spot and he lets out the highest pitch squeak, squirming on his seat a little.

There's a millisecond of silence before everyone just bursts out laughing.

Atsumu is rolling on the ground, crying with laughter, Gin is straight-up howling, accidentally spitting out his beer and Suna is failing to muffle his deep laughter in the collar of his hoodie. There is just something about his reaction that just makes everyone hysterical.

Even Osamu himself can't seem to bite down his wide grin when he looks at you, giggling menacingly, deep blush and look of heart-eyes on his face calling out his bluff when he shoots some half-ass threat at you.

okay I finished eating so I can bring you some self indulgent (im studying zoology and herpetology) Uncle!Konoha thoughts.

the one time he takes baby Akaashi anywhere without the intention of meeting someone, its to the zoo, and baby Akaashi is just as obsessed with reptiles as Konoha is so when he bumps into an absolute angel who is walking through the reptile house answering questions, and is absolutely endeared by how baby Akaashi squeals with love as she presses her face against the glass of a boa's enclosure, he falls in love and may find a reason to take baby Akaashi to the zoo every chance he gets.

oh, I LOVE this!!

after having his ass handed to him multiple times now, Konoha promised Akaashi he would stop flirting with people while on babysitting duty. He promised. And yeah, he totally promised before and completely forgot about it (hoe convenient) but this time, he feels like hes threading too close to having his time with babygirl being cut off short, and he loves her too much to let that happen, so he makes good on his promise.

And the first half of the zoo visit goes by smoothly. His full focus is on baby Akaashi and how adorable she is when she gets excited about all the animals!! Not to mention how cute she is, when babbling to the other kids nearby some random trivia Uncle Aki told her about the animals they're seeing (no, he totally didn't read that from the little information panel in front of every exhibition pfff)

That is until the reptiles exhibition. Thats when Uncle Aki SHINES.

On the way there he tells her the coolest things he knows, dumpingall the info he collected during his reptile nerd years. Its easy to see how his excitement bleeds through baby Akaashi, she's jumping up and down, stars in her eyas as uncle Aki talks, until one point it turns into too much excitement for a such a tiny body and shes dashing from his side and to the snakes exhibit.

Of course he hurries behind her, sighing in relief the moment he spots her in a crowd of other kids around the same age. But baby Akaashi stands out, giddily greetin the Boa Constructor and her squishing against the glass enclosure. Konoha calls her name to grab her attention and is completely ignored, but he can't find it in his heart to be mad about it. Instead, he starts to make way to her.

Thats when he notices you, makijg him stop in his track if only for a brief second. You look like an absolute angel and if the endearment in your voice when talking to baby Akaashi is anything to go by, you actually might be one.

Konoha has to shake the dumbfounded expression off his face when his niece points at his direction, making you, and the rest of the mini-humans crowd, look at him. Turns out that baby Akaashi kept interrupting what you were saying with her own impressively accurate facts about Boa Constructors, making you crouch down and compliment her on how much she knew about it and she lets you know that uncle Aki told her aaaaaaall about snakes and lizards and—

She goes on a monologue about reptiles and how awesome they are, but Konoha can't focus on what shes saying when your eyes flicker between Baby Akaashi and him. Oh, your eyes, the way you smile up at him when his niece tell you that uncle Konoha is the coolest. God, you might be the prettiest thing he's ever seem.

He tries to say something, get her attention so she stops interrupting the guided visit but his mind is coming up blank. And then it fully short circuits when you say to an giddy baby Akaashi: "Well, your Uncle Aki seems like a really cool guy. Why don't you two join us for the rest of your visit?"

And he is left utterly humiliated when his 5 year old niece and her yelled out "yay" is more eloquent at answering you than he is. Really, any other response beside a sheepish smile and a stuttered out "yeah, that'd be cool" would be fine and not make him look lie a complete fool. You don't seem to mind though, shooting him a sweet smile whenever baby Akaashi raises her hand to ask question during the rest of the guided visit. And she is Keiji's daughter, so there were a lot of questions.

At the end of the visist, when they go to thank you for letting them join in, Konoha is phisically itching to shoot you one of his best lines to get your number. But one, he has a feeling his usual charm wouldn't quiet land with you and, more importantly, two, he made a promise to Akaashi. So, he and baby Akaashi bit their goodbyes and despite the ridiculous amount of reptile themed merch hes carrying on his way out, he feels like hes leaving empty handed.

Its only when he and Baby Akaashi reache his car, thta Konoha's gloom demeanor brightens up as she asks him if they could come see the snakes next time. "Yeah, that'd be cool", he tells her with a smile.

OMG YES!!! Welcome to the ADHD!Bokuto Club, we got snacks and everything 😌😋🧡!!!

Everything about his character (and dare I say his dynamic with the Fukurodani team, especially Akaashi) just screams ADHD to me lol but there's some very specific moments that make it nearly canon to me (his speech to Tsuki about why volleyball is fun? boy is just describing his lifelong hyperfixation lmao)

I guess that's why, personality it makes me SO ANNOYED when people write him off as dumb and/or a helpless airhead.

Like yeah, he's a impulsive at times and his problem-solving can be a little unorthodox (i.e. his chest recieved lmao my boy really did that not once but twice?!?! wild) but the way I see it, he can manage just fine on his own, thank u very much 🙄🙄🙄The fact his friends, especially Akaashi, are always around is more due to the fact that Bokuto is such lovable & safe person tbh

And for most of canon material, he's a teenager boy (with ADHD) he is BOUND to make some dumb stuff from time to time. You know, just for shit & giggles 😅

But he is also such and emotional guy and lets be honest, he loves the attention, so I think part of the whole "the team babysitting the captain" thing he has with Fukurodani stems more from that than from him being a helpless baby. For me this is even more evident when you remove him from Fukurodani and put him with other characters, like Kuroo and Hinata. (I could go on for days about besties Bokuroo for days, so I'll leave at that lol)

Frankly the "Bokuto is dumb so Akaashi HAS to take care of him or he'll die" trope is equally dismissive of Keiji's character too tbh but thats a whole different rant

hes a little shit, i can see him doing everything to tease you about your height untill you're huffing at him, he's so good at pushing your buttons. but then!! he just takes advantage of his ridiculous height to cage you in, hunch over and take your face into both his hands to pepper it with kisses untill you're not so mad anymore. and he seals it off with forehead kisses too

but also, hear me out!!! when he's feeling particularly clingy or needy, i can see him hugging you from behind to rest his chin on the crown of your head, and closes his eyes. just enjoying feeling of being close to you 🥺🥺🥺🥺
