         “...” It’s with a gentle shake of her head that she begins backing away from the stranger. Myuutsu had gotten so mad when she talked to strangers the last time, she’d rather not make him angry again. Besides...she didn’t know this strange lady. 

          So she wouldn’t speak.

          Amber wanted to believe she was good, but she had been warned time and time again not to trust other people. They would find the other clones. They would separate their family and take her away from Myuutsu. How could she risk that? Amber would never forgive herself if anything happened to them.

         Maybe if she indicated that she was fine, she didn’t need to go with her, the lady wouldn’t ask again. Besides, the child was well kept, clean, and had eaten. All the basic necessities for her are taken care of by her ‘dad’ and the rest of the family.

                                             Hello small, young vulnerable prey.

         “Hello! Did you come to pick berries too?” Accompanied by Charizardtwo who’s off on his own foraging, the child has a nice basket full of berries. Simply to be kind, she holds it up to the strange Pokemon and opts to let him have some.

           Amber would feel awful if these were his berry picking grounds and she intruded upon them. After all, it’s just another chance to make a new friend, right? Myuutsu would be okay with this one since he’s not human.

What a funny noise! Its clearly an affectionate one, so as she's nuzzled, Amber returns the nuzzles, mimicking the noises. A rather poor mimcry, but one filled with the same affections he's conveying to her.

ㅤ ㅤ ㅤ although the sound that comes out of Mewtwo doesn't sound at all as a purr should, the pleasant vibrations it produces throughout him and into her feel the same. he nuzzles the child in return.

Amber watched the Slither Wing with baited breath, waiting to see their response. She wanted to know if they forgave her, and if they could be friends. She heard them, heard their voice and understood them. The little tilt and blink was their way of saying they would be willing, with time. So it's with an eager, almost excited nod that she agreed. It was weird though. . .they didn't talk like all the other Pokemon she's met.

But no matter what, Amber was able to grasp just enough to understand them.

"--I think it would be fine if we waited. My friends always tell me some new Pokemon are shy like I am. So I have to be patient. Maybe we can get to know each other when the nice lady says I can see you."

Speaking of the lady. . .Amber had turned to look up at her when she spoke. How come she couldn't hear Falafel's voice? They understood her just fine, she's gathered.

But more importantly, she's being questioned, and doesn't really know an answer.

"I don't know. I just talk to Falafel like I do all my other friends. Nidoqueen always tells me to be polite. Could that be it?"

"Myuutsu! Are you going to come play with us yet?" It's said with joy as she waves him over. Blastoise, Dewgong, and Gyarados and Vaporeon were there in the water with her. It's hot out, and what better way to cool off than to frolick in the water?

Amber is always grateful for the hugs she gets! Hugging right on to her Aunite, it's impossible to not feel the joy radiating from the child.

As long as everyone is okay, she's okay. And she knows her Auntie and Myuutsu both need more hugs than most!

🔮 It was always a mixed bag of emotions pushing itself into mind, whenever Nanako now-called-Amber did this. Nevertheless, she did not wish for the girl to worry so Psyche complied and reciprocated hug.

- The child really was too sweet for her own good, sometimes.

                    Nidoqueen gently picks the child up and moves her over to the nest with the rest of the little ones, settling Nanako Amber gently in her lap and beginning careful affectionate grooming.

         “Oh! Nidoqueen! Are you going to help me with my hair today?” Being picked up by the large maternal figure, Amber simply lets herself be placed among all the other little Pokemon. All of her playmates!

          It’s whe Nidoqueen starts grooming her that Amber erupts in laughter. It always tickled her when the other adult Pokemon groomed her. At least she’ll be as clean as the others once she’s done! Besides, Amber knows what comes next. Most times after grooming, they get a small snack and then nap time. So she might as well enjoy the affection for now!

           “Auntie Psyche! This nice Pokemon is gonna show us where a whole orchid is! We can bring back apples for days!”

been meaning to ask. nanako isn't actually amber, right? unless nanako is some sort of alternate name? what exactly went down between her and mewtwo?

What happened to Nanako is uhh...kinda messed up my guy. So strap in for a short but shocking explanation!

Nanako in her Pokemon verse is literally the same as her main, except she has a small group of Pokemon she lives with including a police issued Growlithe her father had watching over her, and a small handful of others she met in her garden or were given to her.

In my first thread with @telekinetiq it had Nanako meeting Mewtwo in his glamoured form after he had destroyed a research lab in Alola. Why she was there? Her dad was doing detective things and ofc every responsible parent in pokemon lets their unsupervised toddlers run around! In that, Mewtwo decided to show her mercy and guide her out and back to safely so she didn't hurt herself on any rubble or get stuck there.

During that time, Mewtwo was able to gather just the kind of person Nanako is, and what her home life is like. Thus, visits kind of became a thing in which he would make small trips to go see her. At this point, it was more for him than it was for her because to him, she was like Amber.

After a brief stint with an anon causing Mewtwo a surplus amount of grief over his loss of Amber, he decided to make Nanako an actual replacement for her. He rewrote her memories to where as she currently believes she is Amber. Has no idea who her blood father or family are, as Mewtwo is now her father/brother/guardian, and the clones are all her real family.

Nanako is very much still Nanako in every other verse I have. In her pokemon one however which is always tagged, she is believed to be Amber thanks to Mewtwo making a rash choice in a moment of inconsolable grief, resulting in a surprise adoption.
