hiii salemm not a question but!!! i love talking about my manifestations, so i wanted to share some i achieved this week (the last week of november up until today, december 3rd) that, in the past, i would have considered “big.” i used to rely on methods because i thought they were fun, but in the end, not long ago actually i realized that i was doing them because i felt like i couldn’t manifest without them. so, i stopped using them (and now i just imagine).

even though my school year hasn’t fully ended, i didn’t attend the last few weeks, and it didn’t cause me any kind of reprimand or anything negative that could affect my semester. besides that, i managed to move into the house i wanted. i made a script describing the house, but i didn’t use it to manifest (didn’t even read it or anything); i just imagined it, and it was amazing when my mom called me saying she had gotten a house in the place i always wanted!!! i also managed to get an ice-skating rink opened near where i live. i made my hair grow longer and wavier, and i achieved a physique similar to that of a character i really liked. all of this in just one week!!! while i’m not surprised, i feel happy to finally know i’m capable of anything lol. now i’m going to manifest other things and tell you about them later lol 😉

I expressed the same sentiment of yours that earned me the ire of the shitbird anon I just quoted verbatim a few days ago.

I hope that everyone remembers how silent Ortega is being on this, especially when she's made a big shit about "wanting to be the Puerto Rican Dakota Fanning" (even mentioning this in newer interviews, still), whining about not having/seeing representation, etc. My critics here hate seeing me crit her up, but she's the one who puts herself and some of her views sparingly out there; but this Puerto Rico thing is just as big as the insults that happened in 2017 after Hurricane Maria (the paper towels, the lack of response from that POS orange fuckface). That ugly ass diaper wearing motherfucking imbecilic rapist from Hell wanted to trade it for Greenland. Our baby girl here was only 15 then, but she is now old enough to fucking put her platform where her mouth is (yeah, as the days have gone by, my anger about it has only risen, especially since we're even closer to Tuesday).

I'm not Puerto Rican, but I am Mexican and Spanish on my father's side. I'm a full on burrito with extra rice (my mother is Southeast Asian)

If I were famous and had a platform like she does, I'd have been begging my fans to vote blue since Day 1, because 1) we know Trump hates us brown people to begin with and has been saying horrific things since the 2016 campaign and 2) Project 2025 is terrifying and facets of it are already cutting into our lives and making a huge mess of it for women, trans people, and people of color. I mean for fuck's sake, Tennessee (our Jairo's home state 💕💔) ratified a law earlier this year that brings back Jim Crow era-like anti-miscegenation discrimination regarding marriage (it was targeted towards 🏳️‍🌈 marriages, but if an officiant objects to solemnizing the marriage of a mixed race couple, they're legally allowed to do that per the law...even Jon and Cairo [if they were real] wouldn't be able to marry if the officiant objected to Jon marrying an obviously not white Cairo). It's exactly what the Heritage Foundation wanted, and it's only going to get worse if the orange fuckface is let back in.

As usual I digress, but this shit is serious.

Anyway, all of the most famous contemporary Puerto Ricans have spoken up about the floating island of garbage and the whole "Latinos love making babies"/have no pullout game (which yanno, Ortega should really be on top of too, it was a DOUBLE insult to her and her family), but she's ✨busy✨. Too busy to stand up for her mother's peoples, but not too busy to make TikToks with Thing. Fuck that, and y'all should keep it in mind the next time she does say shit about politics.

But here's a celebrity who has (another Puerto Rican who has a massive, massive number of 🏳️‍🌈 wlw fans, even though she too is into guys and married), and I love her for it:

There are already a good handful of kids her age who think that it's okay to either vote 3rd party* or sit it out, spouting rhetoric that is well-observed and intended but impractical.

*Psst: No, it's not okay to vote 3rd party in our solidly 2 party system in our general election. The last two times a crapload of people voted 3rd party, it gave us Bush & the Iraq War and Trump & his maelstrom of domestic destruction. Republicans adore 3rd party candidates for the general election because they fucking know the kind of people who will choose them are mostly sanctimonious, ignorant and/or unhinged leftists whose votes would otherwise be unfavorable to them. They are not the fucking same. Just looking at the SCOTUS picks should tell you that it's fucking laughable every time someone says this. I guess I just wanted to say I hope you enjoyed your stay here! And that if u ever come back, I'd recommend going to the middle of the island! Lots of cute green scenery and rivers if you know where to look.

We stayed in Carolina (I believe that’s the right town, our hotel was ESJ) and then Uber’d to go see Old San Juan. I would love to go explore more of the center of the island and see all of the greenery!!! I’m sure it’s breathtaking!!

That seems Iike a normal feeling to have about a space where you’ve lived your whole life. I feel the same about where I live at time. But then I find something new and fall in love with it.

Honestly the whole trip was my favorite. It was a much needed on for my husband and I. We kind of just relaxed and just enjoyed being there. I definitely loved seeing El Morro and all around that area. I could have explored there all day. Seeing all the color sprinkled everywhere was amazing.

I had the most amazing paella. I believe it had chicken and sausage. The spices were delicious and could have eaten an entire dish of it.

We also tried coquito— oh my gosh!! So so so good!!!! 😍😍

I think what the anon was referring to with the mami thing is that its really overused among non latino writers, like if you're gonna include trash spanish (no offense it just bothers me as a native speaker) then at least change it up because we Puerto Ricans don't use mami in every sentence like many here make it seem. A simple Google search will help you find other terms of endearment. Also in many places we may take offense to the mami and papi name calling because in the past it has been used as a stereotype against us Puerto Ricans. Anyways VIVA EL BORINQUÉN 🇵🇷 bye haha

i have my favourite names and endearments, and i’ve asked spanish speaking people for notes on said endearments

and my the way i write characters all have character notes,, which include lists of different nicknames i can use depending on setting, gender, and generally what mood im in lolol

i try my hardest not to stereotype anyone and although i do try to write a characters culture into their fics, i do so very minimally

i don’t see people as their race, i see them as people lolol!!! race and ethnicity is just a uniquety in my eyes

it obviously plays into how someone acts and responds,, but i feel with how i usually ask people of said ethnicity tips and translations that im not really doing it wrong?
