FLASHBACK: it was a late night in wisconsin and sonny found herself outside, under a rather large tree that stood proudly in the middle of town. guitar placed on her lap as she indulged into her little world. strumming and singing a song she had recently wrote, letting the sounds travel around. everyone was used to this. it was a small town after all. they were used to sonny doing something publicly just for the joy of it.

as she played, she noticed a stranger not too far away. watching, in a non creepy way. she would know, she's seen some creepers and lurkers. when she was done, brown hues glanced up to meet his gaze and a friendly smile took over her freckled features, "hello."

PRESENT DAY: back at her job in the diner, sonny was in the middle of singing. entertaining the customers that walked in and enjoyed their meals. letting her music fill the small space. it was like every other night. never a new routine in the small town of appleton, wisconsin.

guitar at hand, she reached her break and spoke into the mic while brushing some blonde strands away from her face, "okay, i'll be taking a thirty minute break and you guys will get to hear some more right after." with a smile, she placed her guitar down on the stand and stepped off the stage. making her way over to the bar and grabbing some fries. treating herself to a snack before turning and suddenly that familiar face from long ago stood in front of her. taller, much taller, than before. blinking almost in shock. "sam?"

MAIN VERSE

sonny munroe remains as a cast member of so random in condor studios. but throughout working there and fiddling with music, she found herself gaining a record deal and is now also a well known recording artist. it was basically her dream. but despite all that she was gifted, she struggled with maintaining her actual schedule. sleep deprived and at times passing out during rehearsals for so random. but she keeps busy, not wanting to let anyone down.

SMALL TOWN GIRL VERSE 

imagine a time where sonny didn’t turn up to hollywood and joining the cast of so random. where she has never dealt with silly adventures with her castmates. where she has never even met chad dylan cooper. sonny auditioned for the show, but she never got in. so now she lives her life in wisconsin as a college student. being just an average girl who would sing at a local bar every night to gather money so at least she could buy the necessities she would need so she wouldn’t need to rely on her mother.

AFTER THE SHOW VERSE

after the constant stress of her breakup, drama, and everyone bringing her down, sonny decided that it was time for her departure and quit the show. she couldn’t bare the thought of being unhappy anymore. it wasn’t her. so the moment she quit, she decided to move back home to wisconsin. hollywood was not for her. though it was harder moving back home. it was a small town and people were always on her case. it came to a point she isolated herself and just wrote music. keeping herself closed off from the world.

sonny  wasn't  completely  oblivious.  she  could  sense  the  nerves  that  radiated  off  of  her  boyfriend.  how  quiet  he  was.  almost  as  if  trying  to  find  his  words.  sonny  was  nothing  but  patient.  allowing  him  to  gather  what  he  needed  as  they  made  their  way  to  the  dock.  finally  turning  to  face  him  when  words  escaped  his  lips.  brown  eyes  blinking  up  at  him  curiously  with  the  softest  expression.  “an  important  something?”  she  repeated  with  a  grin.  giving  his  hand  a  gentle  squeeze.  however,  before  she  could  hear  the  question,  a  dark  figure  snuck  up  behind  bellamy  and  brutally  jabbed  him  on  the  head.  sonny  gasping  in  shock,  “hey!”  immediately  bringing  her  fist  to  the  stranger's  throat,  causing  him  to  choke  out  in  shock.

“we  have  to  go-”  unable  to  crouch  down  to  him  as  she  was  suddenly  lifted  in  the  air  by  another  man.  there  was  a  group  that  surrounded  them  as  she  began  screaming  and  kicking.  trying  to  fight  off  the  hold  as  they  dragged  her  away.  the  one  she  punched  in  the  throat  hitting  her  boyfriend  when  he  noticed  the  other  about  to  get  up.  continuing  to  fight,  she  cried  out,  “bellamy!!!”  up  until  they  shoved  her  in  a  black  van  and  all  drove  off.

⸻ bellamy had never been more nervous in his life. and he'd already done this one time before. something about this moment with sonny felt infinitely different to the last time he wanted to get down on one knee. everything a lot more amplified and in his face than it had been with his now late fiance. so much more thought having gone into this one. he stopped them when they were a bit down the dock, the moon shining beautifully along the water on either side of them. a few of docking spots open to make everything seem more spacious and open. just like he was about to be to sonny. "there's actually something i wanted to ask you . . . " he trailed off, feeling the ring pressing against his thigh in his pocket still. "an important something."

"come on sam, it will be fun!" sonny stated while dusting her hands after piling a bunch of leaves together that it nearly was taller than her. wasn't as tall as sam, but still pretty tall. "i know jumping into a pile of leaves may sound silly, but trust me on this!" she then took a hold of his hand, bringing it up and kissing the back of his palm. "1..2..3!" with a squeal, she jumped into the pile of leaves with him right next to her.

sonny has seen bellamy from time to time around town. a big ole grump that sunshine herself couldn't keep away. there was something that kept drawing her to him that she couldn't shake. many people have warned her that he would be a terrible influence, but little did they know that she was the menace herself. spotting him not too far away, she skipped over and beamed, "hi!"

so  random  sadly  came  to  an  end.  sonny  and  the  randoms  distraught  about  no  longer  being  together.  it  was  a  horrible  feeling,  but  what  made  sonny  feel  better  is  that  her  friends  were  offered  bigger  projects  to  work  on  and  she  was  incredibly  proud  of  them.  sonny  already  planned  to  continue  to  further  her  music  career,  but  what  she  didn't  expect  was  to  be  given  a  job  at  mackenzie  falls.  she  doesn't  understand  how  or  why.  unaware  that  chad  was  the  reason  because  he  couldn't  bare  the  thought  of  her  leaving.  despite  the  two  being  broken  up.

she  got  casted  as  the  role  of  mackenzie's  childhood  rival,  maia  lopez,  who  went  to  a  different  boarding  school.  only  to  then  appear  where  mackenzie  attends.

it's  a  new  environment  for  sonny  to  say  the  least.  but  now  she's  working  along  side  her  ex  boyfriend  and  at  the  same  time,  creating  music.

sonny was decorating sam's motel. he was back in wisconsin for a hunt and she was incredibly excited. she still wondered what it would be like if john didn't scare her off and she'd go with sam to stanford. but they found their way back and it was all that mattered. and as soon as the door opened, she quickly ran so she blocked his way from entering, "before you can come in, you have to follow the christmas tradition." she beamed while pointing up at the doorway where the mistletoe was poorly taped. though a big grin on her face as she threw arms around him and gently tugged him down to her height as placed a soft kiss to his lips.

sonny could practically see what was going on in sam's head. knowing full well what he was trying to do, in which she shook her head, "hey hey.. no.." she hushed while reaching over and gently cupping his face into her palms. watching him with careful eyes with a hint of sadness. "there will be no talks like that, sam winchester." she stated while brushing her thumbs against his skin. "we're here again together for a reason and i'm not going to walk away. not this time." remembering when his father scared her off. but now? nothing will get her to make that mistake again. "i'm here with you."

sonny was surprised to find bellamy crying in his room. not once expecting to see him like this at all. of course she expected it one day, but not now. kneeling in front of him as she wiped his eyes, she watched him carefully. silent for a moment as she leaned up and pressed a soft kiss to his forehead and then looked at him, "you can talk about, or you don't have to talk about it. either way, i'm here for you."

there was no way she would be letting cooper off easily. it was her life's mission to make sure cooper wasn't cooped up in his place. no pun intended. when he eventually agreed, she almost hopped up in joy. ready to bolt it. that was until he mentioned getting a gift. peaking her interest.

"a surprise?" a curious grin appearing on her freckled features as she stepped into the place. shutting the door behind her as she followed the tall lawyer into the kitchen. a little skip in her step as she did so. eager to find out what it could possibly be. sonny did really enjoy surprises. "you know you didn't have to get me anything."

Unable to do anything but chuckle at the pure excitement that radiated from the woman before him, the lawyer gave her a dramatic and sarcastic heavy sigh, as if the mere thought pained him but he nodded his head regardless.

Her enthusiasm was contagious, however, so yes. Cooper found himself smiling wider and wider as he shook his head in a farce of exasperation when in reality, he was very much taken by Sonny, her personality getting under his skin in the very best of ways.

"Alright, alright, birthday girl. It's your day so you call the shots buuuuuut, first... I got you a gift." He said as he stepped aside for her to come in, nodding his head towards the kitchen. "C'mon in here and outta that heat, darlin', your surprise is in the kitchen."

when he allowed her to join him, she happily took a seat right next to him. of course taking note with how slumped he looked. taking it as if it's been incredibly rough. sitting silently for a moment, she turned so she was facing him. her normal bubbly spirit coming to a halt as her caring side fought its way through. "do you want to talk about it?"

bellamy opened his mouth to speak, but the words died on his tongue. he wanted to tell her to go away like he sometimes did. her bubbly personality was a stark contrast to his black cat type one. he was the more harsh one of him and his two brothers. prided himself on that fact. however . . . for some reason, he couldn't bring himself to do it tonight. so, reluctantly he gestured to the seat next to him. "fine, you can stay this time, little raven. i had a lot of shit happen with work tonight so i came out to forget it for a little bit. you're a nice distraction, i guess."
