kyran is floating in my head now so i'm gonna talk about him for a moment..

his upbringing wasn't the best. his nannies were more his parents than his actual parents were. he never called them mom or dad. it was mother or father. they were a means to make sure he survived until he was able to get the hell out of their house. it's why he just did as they asked and endured unspeakable things from people he was supposed to trust. keeping silent about a lot of things. he has zero attachment to his parents. so much so that he doesn't care if they acknowledge him at all.

he didn't want to be a priest. didn't want to go through the means but if it would get them to shut up and help him get out, he did it. so that's where he is. he doesn't mind helping people and easing their mind but he feels as though he will never be truly accepting of his job. not to mention that the demon that possesses him prevents him from really connecting with his religion on top of the trauma he endured.
