erxsxre asked: "A cobweb table runner seems excessive."
"And you wonder why they don't ask you to decorate for events and holidays! If you think this is excessive, wait until I pull out the fake spiders to attach to it!"

@erxsxre asked: “I was thinking we could hand out tooth brushes instead of candy this year.”
"And I'm thinking you're asking for your door to get covered in eggs and toilet paper when you're not around." Her facial expression twisted from her usual grin to a look of questioning sanity. He would want to hand out the least fun thing on a holiday made for spooky entertainment and sugar comas.
"Come on, Shouta, that's so boring! Halloween is most kids' favorite holiday next to Christmas! They get to go out with their friends, have a good time, dress up, and actually have a pass to get as many sweets as they can handle, and you want to be about as wild and crazy as a dentist's office?"

@erxsxre asked: “If this is a preview of what’s to come…”
"Awe come on, Eraser, that joke wasn't even my best work!" Emi jested, giving him a playful nudge to the side with her elbow. Things had gotten a touch chaotic with the rise of the League, during that time tension and nerves were incredibly high. Something she aimed to help keep to a minimum the best she could, the best way she knew how, trying to help people smile.
"Besides, I promised I would keep it to a dull roar tonight, I didn't forget."

@erxsxre asked: Writes: -Please shut up- On her forehead.
"Good one, Shouta! Now you're starting to let that sense of humor poke through! But I think we both know that's not going to happen!"

That wasn't exactly a yes, but it certainly wasn't a no. Was she actually giving him an idea he would consider!? Was she breaking him?! Emi was absolutely going to chalk this one down in the books as a day to remember where he didn't shoot her down almost immediately!
Leaning back on her palms on the railing behind her, the woman let out a laugh at his usual inquiries of the logic behind things.
"Come on, Eraser, they are just kids after all, with more classes than just yours that they need to cram for. Just like us, they have bad days, too. They can study for hours and still feel like they could have done better than what they did, and if they're willing to want to correct themselves, doesn't that say something about not only their desire to be and do better, but also how important to them it is if they're actually handing it in?"
He scowled a little at the thought, mulling it over for a moment, it wasn't a bad idea so to speak, but he also wasn't too fond of giving out free chances, you either made it or you didn't and if you didn't the result spoke for itself, expulsion, he was after all notorious for it, regardless of the fact he used it as a motivator or more so, threat to get his students to perform at their best.
"What is the logic in that?"
He grumbled back at the enthusiastic nature of her proposal, hands stuffed into his pockets and shoulders hunched as high as his ears like usual, the fact he hadn't said no off the bat was a good sign however and he was considering it.

"Man, you really are pushing your luck on that one aren't you?"
Oh she knew fine well that when it came to his students they wouldn't even come within a city block mile of his door with any sort of pranks. At least not if they didn't want to be discovered scrubbing the floor of his homeroom with the toothbrushes he gave out for a month. Her witticism was clearly along the lines of friendly banter, even though it seemed to be one-sided, it never stopped her before and certainly wouldn't now.
Honestly, how could someone who had such a relaxed posture be wound so tight?!
"If you're insisting on being practical, you could always give them something beneficial such as do-over passes. If they do exceptionally poorly at an assignment they have a chance to correct themselves to better their grades. If you're going to insist on giving out things that are more...Constructive." And by constructive she fully meant having the exact opposite of festive appeal.
As much as he wouldn't admit it, she had a point, but then again, who that attended U.A had the guts to even do such a thing? the threat of expulsion or home room duties should be enough to keep them in line, not that anyone really knocked on his dorm on Halloween, most just stayed a mile away or suffer the wrath of interrupting him while working.
His eye twitched in irritancy, rolling his eyes soon after.
"Then how about I give out nothing, would that suffice?"

"Me? Going over the top?" Yes. Not that she'd ever admit it, but in fairness she hadn't stepped back to look at her handiwork to see just how much she'd put up yet. Had she actually looked, Emi would have seen just how...Festive...She'd made the place.
When she had initially gotten the phone call from Nezu, she had been a tad bit concerned that something had gone wrong, rightfully so considering he'd never asked for her assistance before. But once he explained exactly why she was being called to the prestigious academy? She was all for it! Especially if it meant being able to affectionately pester one of her favorite people. Had he actually left the task up to Eraser, well, one could pretty much draw a logical conclusion as to how that would go.
"Does that Jack-O-Lantern look crooked to you?" She tried to lean back as safely as she could while perched on her haphazardly built stepping stool, which consisted of a chair on top of a desk with her standing on her tip toes.
Didn't take a genius to work out that Aizawa wasn't a fan of seasonal festivities, Christmas. Halloween....they were all the same, distractions from what was really important, studying and getting ready for exams, he sipped at his coffee nearby, having been watching her dress the student dorms, his nose wrinkled the more bats, pumpkins and cobwebs were added to the clutter of spooky decor.
Of all the people to call in to do this, though better Nezu hadn't asked him, he simply wouldn't have bothered, or decorated the area with surprise test papers, that was surely scary enough for class 1-A.
"I think you're maybe going a little over the top..." Major understatement.
