he was a little drunk ,  and by a little ,  he definitely meant a lot .  the idea of partying versus completing his unfinished assignment seemed like a no brainer ,  and joshua was definitely happy with his choice .  he sat outside ,  smoking a joint and minding his business ,  not exactly realising that somebody else had joined him till their shoe scuffed the ground beside him .  he looked up ,  a lazy smile plastered across his face ,  before he glanced to his passed out friend ,  “  he’s  a  lightweight .  ”

“  y’all  know  you  gotta  move  out  of  this  place  eventually ,  right ?  what  is  this  shit ?  ”  topper chuckled ,  glancing over the carved names of each housemate into a poorly constructed heart on the surface of the tree outside .  “  some  --  fuckin’ ...  dawson  creek  shit ,  actually .  I  always  wanted  to  be  in  one  of  those  cheesy  flicks  when  I  was  younger .  ”  topper rocked back drunkenly on his heels ,  grinning back at the person behind him ,  “  y’all  are  cute  as  fuck .  ”

“  I’m  doing  shots ,  fuckers !  ”  kauri called out ,  always the life of the party as he slipped through the crowd ,  earning himself a cheer in return as he moved towards the table .  he lined a handful of shot glasses down and poured alcohol messily across each one ,  “  any  takers ?  ”

“  you  don’t  want  any ?  ”  matteo questioned ,  “  you  know  what ?  I’m  not  good  with  sharing  anyway ,  ”  he grinned ,  crossing his legs over one another as he sparked up the joint ,  glancing out at the sky ,  “  stars  are  pretty ,  huh ?  ”
