5 - a neck kiss 

IT ANNOYED HER TO NO end that she couldn’t reach his lips.

          Standing side by side, Koko imagined she looked like a child next to his lanky height, the top of her head barely grazing his chin. Barely. If she was lucky, some days he wouldn’t wear his heeled boots, and she would wear hers- those were her favorite kinds of days; when she could slide up to the tips of her toes and steal his lips with hers, and stay there.

           Today was not one of those days. Spring was on the way, and Koko had opted for a more spritely attire. A dress, black lace and ribbon frills that flared out at the hips to accentuate a small waist, that matched nicely with a muted purple set of ballerina flats. She had purchased the outfit with the sole thought of Dabi seeing her in it, but that left her with a good foot in height difference.

          But, she wanted to kiss him, and her feud with her height was NOT about to stop her.

          One hand reached out to his, fingers brushing against the hollow of his throat, ice cold and feather light, and she leaned against him comfortably. His face is still nowhere near hers, so Koko simply pressed her lips against his neck. His adam’s apple rested nicely in the crevice between her lips for a moment before she moved, the kiss migrating to his jugular, where the addition of tongue and teeth was introduced. Pearly whites nipped at his scarred skin, rolling it with a slight pinch before Koko released, placing a smaller apologetic peck before she pulled away.

SHE ALMOST DIDN’T KNOW WHAT to say at first, cool studded leather wrapping around her throat and clicking as Dabi fastened it. It was comfortably tight, a soft pressure against her jugular she Koko found she didn’t mind the feel of. 

          Her fingers hooked beneath it, tugging slightly, and she turned to him with a sly smile. “ and what do you think this will accomplish ? “

SHE BARELY HAD ENOUGH TIME to squeak in surprise at the descent of his face before his lips were covering her own, muting any sounds that came from her. Not that she was making any- the contact silenced any protest she might of had, dying in her throat. Intimacy was not her forte, and it took her an unbearable few seconds to realize that she wasn’t kissing back- an error quickly amended as her head shifted to the side and her eyes closed, indulging in a tentative and almost scared kiss.

SHE FLINCHED AT THE CONTACT, shoulders jumping in surprise as the weight of the fabric settled atop her, smelling like spice and rain. The warmth that came with it was immediate, a gentle radiation down her back and arms, and even as Koko opened her mouth to protest, she was already gripping the sleeves to pull it closer to her.

          “ stop it, “ she muttered, unable to look him in the eye. “ you don’t need to do that for me. you’ll get cold, too . “
