"Haaaaanaaaabi....I WANT Haaaaaaaanaaaabi....GIVE HER TO ME."

This evil ghost has been following Hanabi ever since she was just a little baby. As Hanabi grew, the more desperate this ghost wanted the child for itself. Hanabi is from two powerful bloodlines, which would make her an IDEAL host for the ghost.

Hanabi is the only one who knows the ghost's name as it shared its name with her to gain her trust when Hanabi was just a small child.

It built Hananbi's trust and slowly started to let things fall around Hanabi. Her parents' divorce was just the beginning of it all and then the accident with her father, ultimately causing him to lose his life. The ghost had built Hanabi up high with love and trust when she was a child and as Hanabi grew older, it began to tear Hanabi's walls down slowly, little by little.

The ghost is still working its magic to sink Hanabi further into despair because the further the shaman falls, the easier it will be to take over Hanabi's body.

"If I had to give away one thing? Mmm, I'd say I would like to get rid of Hanabi's sights and whatever else her mother and I had passed down to her. It would be a dream to allow Hanabi to live a normal life. She deserves it."

Watanabe Yuri was born in Kurashiki, Japan to an architect mother and a doctor father. This gave Yuri a lot of opportunities and advantages in life. Despite growing up with a silver spoon though, Watanabe didn't use his status to his advantage and chose to live his life the correct way. Work hard and gets things on his own! He didn't allow himself to be deterred by anything, not even by seeing spirits but he did his best to help the passed people move on. Honestly, this could be considered a side hustle for him, since Watanabe did help the spirits to aid them in moving into the afterlife!

Watanabe was a preschool teacher as well and it is where he met Oh Ye Ji.

"I know my daughter can protect herself. She's strong and resilient but I wouldn't be a mother now would I if I just sat back and watched. I will protect her with any means necessary. She is all I have left in this world and I'd be damned if I let someone or something take her away from me."

Oh Ye Ji, just like Watanabe grew up with a silver spoon. Her parents were well sought out shamans in Korea. Shamanism and Buddhism were heavy influences in her life. Ye Ji was gifted to see spirits, summon and as well as banish them at will as well and hear the spirits call (when they were dying.) Oh Ye Ji, unlike Watanabe though grew to be a stubborn and spoiled child. It wasn't until her teen year when her mother passed away that Ye Ji got her act together and began seeing things in a different light. She had feared that her ungrateful attitude was the source of her mother's passing. Ye Ji dedicated her life to being humble, being grateful, as well as following in her mother's footsteps which had led her to Japan. This is where she met Watanabe Yuri.

You know what time it is. It's room decorating time SO here we go. I decided that Hanabi'd take Room 4 in her housing. I should have asked which rooms someone was taking, SO if room 4 is taken by any one of her roommates, please lemme know. ANYWAY here we go. ROOM 4

So her room with the balcony and the walk-in-closet. She doesn't have an actual bed as she prefers a futon on the floor. It's probably how she has so much space in her room. There's some cute decorations like drawings that she's done since she's arrived here and little plants she likes to keep around. Her walk-in-closet is curtained instead of doors. What else...

OH, sometime as to not disturb the people who ALSO lives here, she'll climb into her window to get into her home.

Soooooooo, if you hear any shuffling or the sound of someone falling and maybe even a 'ACK' noise in a hushed whisper, don't worry about it. It's Hanabi being clumsy.

HARU

Haru is an Amami Jay that was founded by Hanabi's parents when they visited Amami Oshima. One of the places where the birds can be found.

Haru was a gift from both her parents when she was small. It is the gift they gave her before they divorced and she bonded with Haru from the start and their bond only grew stronger after the divorce. Haru is a reminder that her parents were happy together and that maybe one day they can get back!

Though that never happened, Hanabi knew that her parents loved each other still very dearly, despite the circumstance.

During the battle with the ghost, Yeji lost her life when she accidentally got infected by the ghost's touch. Yeji lost her life to being possessed (which Hanabi does not remember) and shortly after Yeji's death, Haru acted quickly in an attempt to protect Hanabi from being attacked, herself. In the process of this as well, the bird had lost his life.

The Haru that is in Isola is in truth a spirit. A spirit that can be seen by others and feels real. Hanabi would be able to pick up on it if she weren't in denial and blinded. To her, Haru is still alive and her mother is waiting for her back home.

MIRA AND HANABI

Since Hanabi works at December Cafe. A cafe with good books and great food/drinks, she'll often time have Mira as her visitor. She comes to spend time at the cafe while Hanabi is on her shift to keep her company. don't worry, Wolfwood! Hanabi is always still hard at work! Mira definitely tries out the items on the menu and Hanabi likes to suggest!

Hanabi loves movies and she also loves TV shows. She can't go a day without watching either. Mira probably comes over for daily shows that they have in mind to watch, too. Unfortunately sometime, Hanabi is the first to fall asleep or the only one to fall asleep.

Sleepovers are definitely a thing Hanabi does with Mira. Hanabi doesn't like being alone (Even if technically she isn't) and who better to call then a guiding star! Anyway, Mira is a friend and that means they do all sorts of fun stuff during sleepovers. Dancing, doing Karaoke-night (sorry roommate. They'll try to be very quiet for Mira's sake too) and as well as doing each other's hair!

A Couple Of Fears

There are not many that scare Hanabi, mainly because when you're someone who's seen things that normal people can't see from an early age...WELL, you've seen it all, haven't you? However, Hanabi is slightly uncomfortable with the dark, rainy gloomy weather.

Her fears though are the thought of ending up alone and also losing her loved ones. There's only a small handful amount of people in her life that she holds so, so close to her heart and her greatest fear is losing them, whether it'd be by her hands or not.

Mother Dearest

They are not distant from each other, but it's obvious that Hanabi has always been a daddy's little girl. Hanabi has fond memories of when she was a little girl with her mother though. From when Hanabi was a baby up until Elementary, Hanabi remembers her mother being very sweet and very kind. She remembers all of the words Oh would say. Loving, shown compassion, and just all-around gentle.

There's no way that Hanabi could forget the warm call of her mother's voice and Oh wouldn't dare let her ever forget.

She still was even after everything that happened, but as time continued on, she became a little stricter. Though, despite her strictness, Oh never made Hanabi feel like she was unloved. Oh show her love in her own way.

There is of course a reason why Oh is on the strict side and may give off the vibe of being a little TOO headstrong. She wishes for nothing more than for her daughter to be safe, strong, and have strong willpower. If she could, she'd protect Saetbyeol (Hanabi) from all the danger in the world, and that's including the spirits or ghosts that threaten her life every day. She's definitely become more of a protector after Watanabe's passing, and Oh knows that her own daughter is not safe.

(20) Yu I-yeon is Hanabi's friend who she met in middle school going into High school. They've been friends for awhile but not a long as Hanabi and Sora. Just like Hanabi though, I-yeon is actually half Japanese and half Korean and is one of the ways they bonded. I-yeon does have a bad reputation of being pretty awful and spiteful. She's the oldest between Hanabi and Sora by two years (she repeated a grade.)

(17) Baek Yeongmin is Sora's little brother by just a year though. Yeongmin is considered also a really close friend of Hanabi and it may even be said that Hanabi and Yeongmin were childhood sweethearts. They had such a cute and lovely crush on each other when they were kids. Though they do not have any romantic feelings toward each other, Hanabi will always have a special place in Yeongmin's heart and vice versa.

(18) Baek Sora is Hanabi's bestie. ABSOLUTE friendship bracelets, talking on the phone from 10 PM until 2 AM, going on sponty platonic dates kind of friend. They've been in each other's lives for so long and just like with Yeongmin, Sora will always have a special place in Hanabi's heart and vice versa. Sora is the only person to ever call Hanabi by her Korean name. Sora does not trust I-yeon and believes I-yeon isn't being genuine when it comes to her friendship with Hanabi. Wonder why.

(19) Emily Yesugei is a transfer student from Magnolia. She transferred in her last year of middle school and instantly hit it off with I-Yeon. They are considered to be tight as best friends and also do not seem to like Hanabi at all. The same can be true for Hanabi. Hanabi very seldom finds people she dislikes, but Emily seems to know how to push all of her buttons. PS: Emily got her ass beat by Hanabi on more than one occasion and she still wants some smoke. PPS: She has a huge ass crush on I-yeon.

"Don't even get me started...She's fake. You can tell just by the way she is around people. She acts all cutesy and innocent, but holy shit that bitch is just...GAH! She gets on my nerves! Look---LISTEN alright? Don't trust her. She smiles and is all sweet and shit, but then she is frightening! I bet she'd kill a person without even blinking. Eugh....Fucking scary."

Emily Yesugei is a 19-year-old transfer student from Magnolia. She transferred to a Korean school from Darkhan, Magnolia when she was just in her last year of middle school. Her father was a priest and her mother a prosecutor and had found jobs in Korea.

Hanabi and Emily do not have a solid and friendly relationship. In fact, Emily despises Hanabi for a multitude of reasons. Emily has always had a massive crush on Yu I-Yeon from when she first saw her and hated the fact that I-Yeon was always closer to Hanabi. Emily hated that Hanabi was a straight-A student. Emily was always second in place and Emily also hated that Hanabi was too nice. She chalked it up to it being that Hanabi was just two-faced, cutesy acting, and pretentious when in truth she was judgemental. Emily is definitely self projecting as these are the qualities that make Hanabi not like her.

Hanabi once caught Emily talking shit about her when they were beginning their first year of High School. This is where Hanabi's distrust of Emily came in. Emily had always been smiles and sunshine around Hanabi or when talking to her, but when Hanabi had heard what Emily truly thought of her...It was hard to trust her.

Soon, Hanabi's distrust of Emily became disliked when Emily was caught talking about Sora to I-Yeon. The breaking straw was when Emily had spread a nasty rumor about Sora and her brother which resulted in Emily's first ass-whooping from Hanabi.

Yeah...Hanabi beat the absolute SHIT out of Emily and Sora and Yeongmin had to pull her off.

Still...it doesn't look like Emily learned because she gets her ass handed to her a total of 6 times.
