"Haaaaanaaaabi....I WANT Haaaaaaaanaaaabi....GIVE HER TO ME."

This evil ghost has been following Hanabi ever since she was just a little baby. As Hanabi grew, the more desperate this ghost wanted the child for itself. Hanabi is from two powerful bloodlines, which would make her an IDEAL host for the ghost.

Hanabi is the only one who knows the ghost's name as it shared its name with her to gain her trust when Hanabi was just a small child.

It built Hananbi's trust and slowly started to let things fall around Hanabi. Her parents' divorce was just the beginning of it all and then the accident with her father, ultimately causing him to lose his life. The ghost had built Hanabi up high with love and trust when she was a child and as Hanabi grew older, it began to tear Hanabi's walls down slowly, little by little.

The ghost is still working its magic to sink Hanabi further into despair because the further the shaman falls, the easier it will be to take over Hanabi's body.

"If I had to give away one thing? Mmm, I'd say I would like to get rid of Hanabi's sights and whatever else her mother and I had passed down to her. It would be a dream to allow Hanabi to live a normal life. She deserves it."

Watanabe Yuri was born in Kurashiki, Japan to an architect mother and a doctor father. This gave Yuri a lot of opportunities and advantages in life. Despite growing up with a silver spoon though, Watanabe didn't use his status to his advantage and chose to live his life the correct way. Work hard and gets things on his own! He didn't allow himself to be deterred by anything, not even by seeing spirits but he did his best to help the passed people move on. Honestly, this could be considered a side hustle for him, since Watanabe did help the spirits to aid them in moving into the afterlife!

Watanabe was a preschool teacher as well and it is where he met Oh Ye Ji.

"I know my daughter can protect herself. She's strong and resilient but I wouldn't be a mother now would I if I just sat back and watched. I will protect her with any means necessary. She is all I have left in this world and I'd be damned if I let someone or something take her away from me."

Oh Ye Ji, just like Watanabe grew up with a silver spoon. Her parents were well sought out shamans in Korea. Shamanism and Buddhism were heavy influences in her life. Ye Ji was gifted to see spirits, summon and as well as banish them at will as well and hear the spirits call (when they were dying.) Oh Ye Ji, unlike Watanabe though grew to be a stubborn and spoiled child. It wasn't until her teen year when her mother passed away that Ye Ji got her act together and began seeing things in a different light. She had feared that her ungrateful attitude was the source of her mother's passing. Ye Ji dedicated her life to being humble, being grateful, as well as following in her mother's footsteps which had led her to Japan. This is where she met Watanabe Yuri.

"I have a handful of important people who's inspired me to be the person that I am today. Uhm..." Oh, she gets teared-eyed just thinking of them. Hanabi laughs and sniffles, "I think I'll talk about my parents though. Each one inspired me differently. My mom is headstrong and she's super strict. But without her practices and her way of raising me, I don't think I'd come out as strong. I thank her for giving me the strength to keep going. I'm stubborn and headstrong myself because of her."

"My dad is," was, "soft. Ah, I'm not saying my mom didn't have any of that, but...My dad...Uhm, very empathetic and I think he's inspired me to be that way no matter what. Even to those who may not be deserving of it. Everyone deserves a second chance, a listening ear, and an empathetic heart."

"if I found a stray dog?" Hanabi doesn't have to think too hard on this one actually. She smiles big and wiggles her finger matter-of-factly, "Of course, I'd keep the dog! I couldn't continue on about my day knowing I just ignored a poor pup, y'know? Haru isn't a fan of dogs, but I'm sure he'd understand." The bird in question would warm up in time.

You can catch Hanabi wearing a lot of things. She enjoys wearing comfortable clothes. Something quick and easy to put on whether that's sweat pants and a hoodie or shorts and a T-shirt. Her mom used to say something along the lines of: Are you a bum? Why are you dressed like that? Hanabi LIKES cute clothes too though. Find her wearing a cute mini skirt (but not TOO short) with a pretty pink blouse or something. Either way her style of fashion ranges on such a large scale it's inane.

Supernatural occurrences have been a part of her and her family's life for as long as their family names existed. Shamans in Korea are very well-known. On Hanabi's mother's side, they come from a long lineage of powerful shamans, and on her father's side, the Watanabe family were always known to have extraordinary sight. Hanabi has ALWAYS seen spirits or ghosts or witnessed anything supernatural related to them from a very young age. One would think from an infant, but it's hard to say. Hanabi's life is just one ball of supernatural occurrences though. She's a magnet for spirits or ghosts good or bad.

Hanabi likes to eat, but it turns out she's kind...of bad at eating actual food. Don't get me wrong, she will eat a good meal here and there, but lots of people catch her eating junk food a lot. If you're roommates with her, you may barely see her eating an actual well-balanced meal and instead you may spot her at 4 AM eating popcorn while watching a movie or eating skittles at 12 AM while playing games. Her eating habit needs fixing for sure! It's funny too, because Hanabi will scold anyone for not having a well balanced meal, but turn around and do the same exact thing.

Hanabi's only pet she's had is Haru the Amami Jay bird. Her parents gifted her the bird because Hanabi's always had an interest in birds. They of course had thought about giving baby Hanabi a dog or a cat like any parents would, but they learned that Hanabi was a bit scared of dogs and when it came to cats, they found Hanabi to be allergic to them. SO! A bird it was. Haru came into their life and Hanabi and Haru immediately bonded!

"WW..." She doesn't want to offend or insult, but she also doesn't want to lie or hide how she feels. "I worry about him, y'know? If he's eating, if he's sleeping okay, if he's taking care of himself but I have a feeling he's not really..." She trails off with a shrug. "I don't pity him. The last thing I want to do is pity anyone and I wouldn't want him to feel that way either, but...I really, really do worry about him."

"Aside from that, I like WW! He's fun to be around and he's always got something insightful to say. He's full of great advice even if he may not think it. I think his honest-self is really helpful. You can always count on him to speak his mind. As long as it isn't embarrassing, heehee! I LOVE watching movies with WW whenever he's around! It's the most fun!"

"Cockatoos are great. They're beautiful birds! DID you know that both Cockatoo parents takes turn incubating their eggs? They're really good at mimicking sounds of birds and people and ALSO also open their own food by using their feetsies and beak. I wonder if Haru would like a Cockatoo friend."
