underneath  the  read  more  you  will  find  headcanons  that  have   collected   in   my  mind  lately   of   my   muse  ,  elijah  baek  ,   a  twenty - five  year  old university  student  .

✶  grew  up  struggling  to  connect  with  his  classmates  .  he  had  similar  interests  of  the  kids  his  age  (  bugs  ,  dinosaurs  ,  animals  ,  arts  and  crafts  ,  etc  .  )  but  he  tended  to  take  an  extreme  interest  them  and  left  him  wanting  to  learn  everything  possibly  about  them  .  most  kids  were  just  interested  in  finding  a  caterpillar  ,  not  about  their  scientific  and  common  name  ,  life  span  ,  and  if  they  turned  into  a  specific  type  of  butterfly  or  not  .  he  was  often  deemed  ‘  weird  ‘  for  his  nearly  obsessive  interest  in  things  .

✶  his  hyperfixation  on  things  growing  up  has  made  him  a  walking  encyclopedia  .  he  has  a  very  good  memory  ,  especially  for  things  that  interest  him  .  pretty  much  has  a  fun  fact  to  give  out  every  day  and  most  of  the  time  it’s  relating  to  the  current  conversation  ,  but  sometimes  when  there’s  silences  and  they  begin  to  make  him  uncomfortable  he  throws  out  some  of  the  most  random  things  in  an  effort  to  break  the  silence  .

✶  very  easily  startled  and  flinches  at  any  raised  ,  angered  voice  .  growing  up  he  was  often  the  target  of  his  father’s  constant  yelling  about  his  lack  of  trying  in  everything  and  inability  to  excel  in  sports  .  his  dad  had  thought  having  a  son  would  mean  somebody  who  would  play  football  and  wrestle  in  high  school  ,  join  the  military  and  be  a  mini  version  of  him  and  instead  he  got  a  shy  bookworm  who  refused  to  exert  himself  in  any  way  because  it  meant  sweating  .

✶  has  recently  began  questioning  his  career  path  .  ( courtesy  of  river  and  @threesofcup​  )  he’s  currently  an  english  education  major  with  plans  of  working  as  an  esol  teacher  in  the  states  or  as  an  english  teacher  in  another  country  BUT  now  is  wondering  if  he  should  possibly  look  into  a  psychology  and  /  or  criminology  route  because  of  his  slightly  worrisome  interest  in  serial  killers  and  the  inner  workings  of  their  minds  .

✶  his  closet  consists  of  a  lot  of  neutral  colors  ,  plain  colored  tees  and  hoodies  ,  sweaters  that  he  can  pull  over  collared  shirts  ,  black  ripped  jeans  ,  plaid  pants  , grandpa  cardigans  ,  fun  socks  ,  boat  shoes  ,  backless  loafers  ,  and  oxfords  .  he  owns  a  pretty  decent  amount  of  high  brand  clothing  but  all  has  been  bought  second  hand  off  from  second  hand  shops  and  apps  such  as  poshmark  and  depop  

✶  does  not  have  his  license  .  his  father  parents  did  not  think  he  needed  one  since  his  older  sister  had  one  and  could  drive  him  to  school  and  then  that  he  had  friends  who  could  after  she  graduated  .  he  keeps  meaning  to  get  one  but  between  school  ,  internships  and  bulking  up  his  future  resume  he  just  has  never  found  the  time  to  .  back  at  home  he  rides  a  bike  everywhere  and  it  works  just  fine  since  he  lives  so  close  to  campus  and  there’s  never  parking  anyways  (  so  he’s  been  told  .  )

✶  he  jokingly  tells  people  that  he  needs  at  least  twenty - four  to  forty - eight  hours  to  prepare  for  outings  but  he  isn’t  actually  joking  .  he  suffers  from  social  anxiety  and  literally  has  to  build  himself  up  and  mentally  prepare  himself  for  things  especially  when  it  involves  large  crowds  . 

✶  he  gets  overwhelmed  in  crowded  ,  loud  and  rowdy  places  very  easily  and  often  can  go  only  about  an  hour  before  he  needs  to  get  away  and  find  somewhere  quiet  to  decompress  .  growing  up  this  drove  his  mom  crazy  because  —  like  clockwork  —  about  an  hour  in  at  the  mall  or  when  grocery  shopping  or  at  school  or  family  events  ,  elijah  would  be  ready  to  go  or  have  a  meltdown  if  they  didn’t  . 

✶  can  solve  a  rubix  cube  in  under  five  minutes  .

✶  all  around  a  very  intelligent  young  man  .  he  enjoyed  learning  and  sharing  that  knowledge  .  he  tutors  back  home  as  his  main  source  of  income  and  usually  is  the  one  to  set  up  small  study  groups  for  his  classes  .  if  it  weren’t  for  him  his  roommate  would  probably  failed  out  of  all  his  classes  .

✶  very  organized  and  has  beautiful  small  block  handwriting  .  carries  a  planner  with  him  in  his  messenger  bag  and  if  it  isn’t  on  his  person  when  plans  are  made  he  puts  it  into  his  phone  and  then  writes  it  down  in  his  planner  when  he  gets  ahold  of  it  .  he  uses  it  too  and  it’s  basically  his  lifeline  .  his  planner  is  also  every  girl’s  dream  :  color  coded  with  fancy  typography  and  stickers  .  he’s  quite  proud  of  it  . 

✶  elijah’s  body  loves  to  give  away  when  he’s  embarrassed  .  the  tips  of  his  ears  get  red  easily  as  does  his  face  .  normally  focused  mainly  across  his  cheeks  though  and  he  hates  it  .  hides  his  face  in  his  hands  ,  turns  his  face  away  or  drops  his  head  when  he  can  feel  it  heating  up  .

✶  nervous  habits  include  :  biting  and  /  or  picking  at  his  nails  ,  holding  himself  with  his  arms  across  his  waist  and  shoulders  hunch  ,  and  rubbing  the  fabric  of  his  sleeves  between  his  thumb  and  pointer  finger  .  many  sweaters  he  owns  now  sport  a  thumb  hole  in  them  because  he’s  worn  the  fabric  down  so  much  .  

✶  on  top  of  being  fluent  in  english  and  korean  ,  he  also  is  proficient  in  japanese  ,  working  proficient  in  mandarin  as  well  as  spanish  .  this  has  a  lot  to  do  with  the  fact  that  he  had  a  huge  interest  in  different  languages  starting  when  he  was  four  years  old  and  his  mother  wanted  to  push  that  interest  knowing  that  being  fluent  in  multiple  languages  is  extremely  profitable  when  looking  for  a  job  .  

✶  a  master  of  destruction  .  things  just  .  .  .  break  when  he’s  around  because  he’s  1)  clumsy  and  2)  adamant  that  he  was  cursed  as  a  while  .  he  has  two  left  feet  and  when  things  get  in  the  way  of  his  tripping  they  usually  break  .  he  is  constantly  having  to  get  the  glass of  his  phone  replaced  because  of  dropping  it  and  refusing  to  get  an  otterbox  because  they’re  ugly  .

as  the  title  suggests  ,  i  am  currently  in  the  process  of  moving  halfway  across  the  u.s.  (  florida  to  texas  )  and  will  more  than  likely  not  be  around  to  respond  to  messages  until  tuesday  earliest  !  please  do  not  think  i  am  ditching  any  threads  ,  i  simply  just  cannot  get  on  at  the  moment  .

i  will  be  traveling  with  someone  else  and  occasionally  will  be  the  passenger  on  the  trip  so  if  you’d  like  to  contact  me  through  discord  and  perhaps  plot  and  get  to  each  other  and  our  muses  then  i’d  be  happy  to  do  that  because  i  get  very  very  bored  .

"  hey  river  ,  “  kangdae  sighed  ,  stretched  out  on  his  bed  resting  his  head  against  his  bicep  .  he’s  revelling  being  back  in  his  own  bed  in  his  own  bedroom  after  spending  the  last  almost  week  in  an  uncomfortable  ,  lumpy  hospital  bed  .  “  let’s  run  away  .  “  he  said  quietly  ,  conspiratorially  with  a  finger  pressed  against  his  lips  .  “  just  for  a  couple  days  .  i  want  to  go  to  the  beach  .  i  want  to  see  the  beach  at  least  once  in  my  life  .  “  he  said  .  “   i  want  to  look  for  shark  teeth  and  seashells  .  put  them  in  a  little  bottles  with  sand  and  little  slips  of  paper  with  wishes  on  them  .  “

under  the  cut  you  will  find  some  headcanons  of  my  muse  lin  kangdae  ,  a  twenty  year  old  unemployed  hot  mess  that  i  love  very  much  .  (  some  triggering  content  such  as  mentions  of  death  and  dying  as  well  as  like  ,  one  mention  of  self - harm  just  as  a  warning  .  )

✶  his  parents  struggled  having  children  ,  his  mother  was  thirty  -  six  when  they  started  trying  and  after  two  years  of  trying  ,  often  resulting  in  miscarriage  early  on  his  parents  decided  to  seek  out  other  methods  .  this  happened  to  be  in  the  form  of  a  demon  ,  who  agreed  to  helping  them  conceive  on  the  premises  that  their  child  would  1 )  spend  the  entirety  of  their  life  constantly  struggling  ,  and  2  )  would  not  outlive  either  of  them  .  they  agreed  .  

✶  has  spent  more  time  in  the  hospital  than  not  .  as  a  child  he  just  was  easily  susceptible  to  catching  colds  ,  coming  down  with  ear  infections  ,  strep  throat  ,  and   stomach  viruses  but  once  he  hit  middle  school  colds  turned  into  the  flu  or  pneumonia  ,  ear  infections  became  a  diagnosis  for  meniere’s  disease  ,  strep  turning  into  rheumatic  fever  despite  antibiotics  being  prescribed  and  concoctions  of  symptoms  with  no  apparent  reason  as  to  why  that  left  doctors  baffled  . 

✶  parents  refuse  to  let  people  visit  when  he’s  in  the  hospital  because  they’re  worried  they’ll  make  things  worse  .  this  leads  to  very  lonely  hospital  visits  which  they  try  to  fix  with  stuffed  animals  as  comfort  items  .  they  don’t  really  work  and  now  half  his  bed  is  just  stuffed  animals  .

✶  his  love  language  also  happens  to  be  physical  affection  so  he  comes  out  touch  starved  and  overly  clingy  once  he’s  with  his  friends  again  .  thrives  from  being  hugged  /  hugging  somebody  from  behind  ,  hand  holding  ,  cuddling  ,  and  leaning  /  being  leaned  on  .  honestly  would  just  be  happy  with  linked  pinkies  .

✶  wears  a  mask  every  time  he  goes  anywhere  as  if  it’s  going  to  stop  him  from  catching  anything  .  

✶  fully  aware  of  the  fact  that  he  is  the  way  he  is  because  of  the  deal  his  parents  made  with  a  demon  .  when  he  turned  eighteen  he  first  met  a  gentleman  who  refused  to  tell  him  his  name  (  so  he  named  him  yogsim  :  욕심  )   that  came  to  visit  him  stating  that  he  was  there  to  ‘  take  him  away  from  this  godforsaken  place  .  ‘  it  didn’t  take  him  long  to  realize  this  person  was  much  like  a  grim  reaper  and  kind  of  surprised  the  other  when  he  was  adamant  and  fought  against  leaving  .  kangdae’s  exact  words  were  :  what  if  i  don’t  want  to  go  though  ?  and  after  a  little  bit  of  arguing  the  man  told  him  if  i  give  you  more  time  than  it’s  being  taken  from  another  human  being  .  and  kangdae  agreed  without  batting  an  eye  . 

✶  the  kid  is  literally  living  off  stolen  time  but  every  time  he  does  this  the  time  because  less  and  less  .  he’s  also  starting  to  feel  kind  of  guilty  for  stealing  the  last  moments  someone  may  have  with  their  own  loved  ones  .  

✶  hates  chess  with  a  passion  because  once  he  starts  feeling  better  but  not  enough  to  be  released  ,  the  nurses  will  come  play  with  him  .  but  he’s  really  good  at  it  at  least  .

✶  never  finished  high  school  .  too  much  time  was  missed  and  instead  of  repeating  or  getting  a  tutor  to  keep  him  on  par  with  the  others  he  just  had  his  parents  withdraw  him  .  not  like  i’ll  make  it  through  to  a  degree  so  why  waste  time  doing  that  . 

✶  in  the  past  he  would  run  away  when  his  parents  tried  admitting  him  .  this  would  normally  be  a  time  when  he  knew  that  yogsim  would  visit  and  had  decided  he  would  much  rather  die  in  a  park  or  somewhere  beautiful  instead  of  a  sterile  ,  white  hospital  room  .

✶  bullies  people  into  taking  photos  and  videos  with  him  any  possible  chance  so  that  when  he  did  pass  people  would  have  only  happy  memories  of  him  .  this  is  one  of  the  only  reasons  he’s  thankfully  his  parents  won’t  allow  people  to  visit  him  because  he  doesn’t  want  them  to  have  memories  of  him  in  a  hospital  .

✶  has  a  healed  burn  scar  on  his  left  hand  from  letting  somebody  burn  him  with  a  cigarette  butt  while  both  extremely  drunk  to  remind  himself  that  he  was  still  alive  . 

✶  prefers  spicy  food  ,  super  sweet  confections  ,  and  strawberry  milk  .  very  fond  of  extremely  cute  and  aesthetically  pleasing  desserts  that  look  so  pretty  or  detailed  that  they  shouldn’t  be  eaten  .  flower  shaped  macarons  ,  sugar  cookies  with  detailed  royal  icing  drawings  and  characters  ,  animal  shaped  boba  ,  and  latte  art  .  he  loves  it  all  . 

✶   a  true  gen  z  in  the  sense  that  he  could  spit  in  the  face  of  a  cop  acting  inappropriately  or  aggressively  but  can’t  ask  for  a  straw  or  send  back  food  that  is  obviously  incorrect  or  cold  .  

✶  struggles  with  making  friends  for  two  main  reasons  .  the  main  issue  is  that  it’s  always  been  hard  for  him  to  create  connections  with  others  while  disappearing  for  days  or  sometimes  even  a  week  or  more  because  of  being  sick  and  secondly  because  he  doesn’t  want  more  people  to  miss  him  in  the  future  .

✶  isn’t  afraid  to  approach  strangers  and  speak  honestly  with  them  .  this  sometimes  gets  him  in  trouble  because  he  isn’t  afraid  to  go  up  to  someone  who  is  with  their  significant  other  and  tell  them  just  how  pretty  /  handsome  /  attractive  they  are  without  realizing  that  it  may  come  off  as  hitting  on  them  and  getting  told  off  because  of  it  . 

✶  loves  his  parents  but  resents  them  for  giving  birth  to  a  son  knowing  his  entire  life  would  be  nothing  but  a  fight  to  live  .

underneath  the  read  more  you  will  find  headcanons  that have   collected   in   my  mind  lately   of   my   muse  , im  sungchan  ,   a  twenty - three  year   old  student  ,  socialite  and  model .

✶  he  has  a  nervous  habit  of  cracking  his  knuckles  ,  popping  his  fingers  ,  or  cracking  his  neck  .  this  is  the  most  obvious  sign  that  he’s  in  a  situation  that  he’s  uncomfortable  in  and  would  love  to  either  be  saved  from  it  or  whatever  conversation  is  being  had  to  be  dropped  until  a  later  time  (  preferably  never  .  )

✶  his  actual  name  is  min  sungchan  ,  but  uses  his  mother’s  o  avoid  being  connected  to  his  family  .  he  already  has  to  deal  with  the  rich  sucking  up  to  him  because  of  his  parents  ,  he’d  prefer  he  not  have  to  do  that  with  his  classmates  and  friends  as  well  . 

✶  will  adamantly  deny  any  clothing  advertisement  he’s  featured  in  despite  the  fact  that  it  is  very  obviously  him  .  he  doesn’t  model  often  for  this  reason  ,  sticking  mainly  to  his  mother’s  line  unless  she  cons  him  into  doing  someone  else’s  shoot  under  the  ruse  of  it  being  for  her  . 

✶  if  it  isn’t  water  ,  tea  ,  or  coffee  he  doesn’t  drink  it  .  non  -  alcoholic  beverage  wise  .  when  it  comes  to  alcohol  he  doesn’t  really  have  a  preference  because  it’s  all  disgusting  to  him  anyways  but  he  does  tend  to  sway  towards  red  and  dessert  wines  more  than  anything  .  it  doesn’t  mean  he  won’t  drink  anything  else  (  both  alcoholic  and  non  )  but  he’ll  pass  on  it  if  he  is  able  to  .  which  is  easy  to  do  when  everywhere  provides  water  .

✶  tends  to  bed  his  younger  brother’s  hiding  spot  whenever  their  father  is  in  town  and  at  home  .  the  two  don’t  have  the  greatest  relationship  (  a  lot  having  to  do  with  the  fact  that  he  is  not  his  biological  father  )  and  usually  within  the  first  few  hours  of  him  being  home  the  two  have  gotten  into  it  and  sungjin  ends  up  hiding  at  his  place  until  their  father  leaves  and  it’s  safe  to  go  back  . 

✶  isn’t  fond  of  any  form  of  skinship  or  physical  affection  .  in  terms  of  love  languages  his  would  most  likely  go  :  acts  of  service  ,  quality  time  ,  words  of  affirmation  ,  physical  affection  and  gift  giving  .  if  he’s  cold  though  he  is  prone  to  seek  warmth  out  usually  from  somebody  else  or  if  he’s  very  drunk  or  very  tired  .  outside  of  that  ?  please  feel  blessed  if  he  hugs  you  because  it’s  very  awkward  for  him  . 

✶  high  sex  drive  which  is  kind  of  ironic  since  he  hates  physical  affection  but  .  .  .  different  sides  of  the  same  coin  ?  also  tends  to  have  long  term  friend  with  benefit  situations  and  not  relationships  .  in  the  case  that  he  does  get  into  a  relationship  (  very  rarely  one  to  be  confessing  )  then  they  are  normally  not  very  long  lasting  and  as  soon  as  more  complex  emotions  or  steps  (  saying  ‘  i  love  you  ‘  or  introducing  him  to  parents  )  he’s  out  the  door  .  

✶  was  extremely  athletic  when  he  was  in  high  school  .  throughout  his  time  in  high  school  he  was  a  member  of  the  swim  ,  baseball  ,  and  soccer  team  .  and  it  made  him  pretty  popular  in  high  school  but  he  was   he  still  swims  pretty  regularly  at  the  gym  he’s  a  member  of  and  works  out  on  a  regular  basis  .  

✶  owns  a  both  a  cat  and  dog  :  a  himalayan  named  aegiya  ,  and  a  pomeranian  and  bo-mi  .  he  likes  them  more  than  any  human  .  actually  a  lie  .  his  grandfather  is  the  one  person  he  likes  more  than  them  .  

✶  wears  a  lot  of  designer  brands  for  somebody  who  does  not  want  to  be  known  for  having  money  .  and  the  worst  part  is  that  it’s  all  clothing  that’s  literally  made  to  cost  twenty - five  dollars  or  under  but  is  sometimes  ten  times  that  amount  .

✶  cannot  cook  for  the  life  of  him  .  lives  mainly  off  of  takeaway  ,  though  his  house  cleaner  who  visits  once  a  week  will  normally  bring  him  easy  to  reheat  or  finish  preparing  yourself  meals  for  him  to  eat  .  she  has  been  working  for  his  family  since  he  was  six  so  is  well  aware  of  his  likes  and  dislikes  .

✶  messy  but  in  an  organized  way  .  he  knows  exactly  where  something  is  in  his  organized  chaos  and  if  it’s  moved  then  it’s  lost  forever  .

✶  doesn’t  invite  people  over  to  his  place  often  due  to  the  fact  that  he  lives  in  a  motherfucking  penthouse  that  is  above  one  of  his  father’s  hotels  and  that’s  a  big  giveaway  to  just  how  much  money  he  comes  from  .  so  if  he  invited  you  over  consider  yourself  blessed  by  the  gods  .
