Ter um item preferido não significava que devia estar consigo em todos os momentos. O amor e protecionismo ao redor da peça eram tão absurdos quanto paranoicos, incapacitante de mostrá-lo ao sol por tanto tempo. Aquele item era uma memória fresca, uma lembrança vívida; um toque capaz de levá-lo do inferno ao céu. Nyarko o escondia bem, numa bolsa com couro especial que tinha gasto uma boa grana. Ora, sua mãe estava ali. A pulseira de couro estava gasta, mas ainda cheirava a perfume cítrico e noites em quartos empoeirados. Brisa tóxica passando longe, alimentada pela imaginação incitada pela mais velha. Um mundo melhor, M’Baku. Sussurros e carícias, dolorosas sensações quase tão reais quanto a textura sob o polegar que acariciava a peça.

E foi por isso, pela frequência reduzida do item proibido aos olhos de Scar, que Nyarko começou sua busca ao tesouro com algumas horas de atraso. Passos naturalmente largos aumentando o ritmo conforme a ficha caía. Sua reputação intocável caindo por terra perante adversários tão esnobes, tão desatentos àqueles títulos mundanos. A bolsinha invisível abriu para os olhos escuros do leão e o vazio saudou a presença com um gemido triste. Não estava ali. O Leons, na medida do possível, enlouqueceu em seu próprio quarto. Girando e chutando e explodindo por dentro, descontrolado... Até que a chave virou e ele ouviu algo do lado de fora. Pistas espalhadas.

1. aqui tudo pode vir à vida.  2. sou um lugar temido por muitos.  3. o desafio não vai ser encontrar seu objeto, mas conseguir pegá-lo de volta quando entrar em mim.

Depois de becos sem saída e ameaças veladas ao nada, Nyarko Leons juntava suas três pistas. Escritas em letra apressada, enraivecida, sua cabeça queimando analítica para desvendar o segredo daquelas palavras. Mas ah essas criaturas fantasmagóricas se arrependeriam por ter feito-o de tolo na busca infrutífera. Odiosamente chamada de Caça ao Tesouro.
