just a heads up...

i firmly believe that despite snape's 'loyalty' to vold/emort, he was abused at times just like all the other death eaters. there were likely many times when severus didn't have much information to pass on. i'd imagine tom would have gotten suspicious if severus ALWAYS had info. so like the others, he likely felt the sting of the cruciatus curse, or was imperioed plenty of times and forced to do horrific things. or simply endure them. just WHAT those things were has been explored in many fanfics but thee possibilities are endless. but all that aside, just know severus is probably in pain quite a bit. those billowing robes do more later on than just make up his look. he's hiding his limps, scratches, scars, ect though he does have potions that heal some of them.

so i'm that person who has never really considered reading fanfics that ship severus with any of the marauders. i have come to learn over the years that fanfics are completely self indulgent --- as they should be --- but sometimes that sacrifices plausibility. as in to say, could this REALLY happen? and sometimes i can suspend my disbelief and roll with it and other times, i struggle if there's no slowburn where necessary.

in the case of snape, you've got 4 people who spent the vast majority of his school life bullying him. and remus does NOT get a pass here because you're just as guilty if you're allowing it / enabling it / not speaking up. so even with remus, who nearly killed sev on accident, i cannot see a scenario without a shit ton of slow burn, where sev would even want to be near him, let alone date him.

and i imagine when remus was hired at hogwarts, sev probably tore albus a new one. like 'HOW DARE YOU HIRE HIM KNOWING WHAT HE IS...' because despite sev being a changed man, some trauma is harder to let go. and don't get me wrong. i love albus to death. he is my son, but he's also my very manipulative son who will sacrifice a person's comfort for what he deems 'the greater good'. and severus' comfort is sacrificed often. some would argue its deserved given how he was a death eater but no man is perfect. albus is not perfect. he dated a potential lord voldemort in gellert and KNEW what the man was deep inside so i mean... its a fine line if mistakes and imperfections but also good intentions in some areas.

all of that to say, i can never see a romantic relationship realistically working out with snape and a marauder UNLESS its slow burn AND a lot of things are discussed / apologized for on both ends AND lots of reassurance. Because honestly, if one of the marauders actually took a interest in snape, he'd assume it was one long, laborate joke. even as an adult, he'd assume they were having one last go at him on James' behalf and i don't think he'd ever truly believe one could care about him. the wound is too deep. he'd spend years wondering when the jig was up because anyone could have sex. anyone could SAY they love you. but snape's used to being used, manipulated, ect by those who claim to care so just... idk. romance for him in general would be hard.

and yeah i read snarry but its the same deal. there's a LOT of hurdles to overcome there starting with the fact that potter is the seed of the woman he once obsessed over and loved and the man he loathed beyond words.

but anyway, i will probably blog a lot of the fanart of these ships cos the art's so pretty. but just know its not me trying to push ships on people cos it would take plotting and time and a willingness for our characters to admit their wrongdoing. and they're all proud men so if it never happens, its totes cool.

as a side note, one night stands --- always possible. its the romantic, long term stuff that would take ages.

since marriage stuff has been on my mind lately, i've been pondering what kind of wedding some of my crew would like.

obviously lucius has the money to spend so in his case, every part of his wedding would have to be a great spectacle.

arthur... all of his close friends and family would be invited. nothing fancy. in fact, it'd be pretty casual with nothing but fun, dancing, food, laughter the whole time

severus... he can't even imagine a wedding. idk if he'd agree to one. he'd probably be content with just a witness and private vows

harry... same deal. he's such a celebrity that the last thing he'd want is a big wedding. he'd probably sneak off somewhere with his s/o, get married and tell everyone he did via instagram post

albus... well i think he could be talked into a wedding but it would have to be VERY small. like maybe 4 to 6 guests. but it just depends. much like harry, albus is a celebrity of sorts too due to his mastery of magic. he wouldn't want to risk journalists being privy to his special day. but he certainly has imagined what it'd be like.

lockhart... biggest wedding ever.

on the off chance i add some new people, hermione would be content with a small wedding and percy... well, given how he was raised, he'd probably feel pretty gulity if his wedding was too extravagant.

since its almost sexual sunday, a few things...

albus likes cuddling. depending on his partner, his sleeps best facing his lover, arms draped over each other. he doesn't mind being the big or little spoon although he tends to sleep on his back so the spooning thing is out the window once he's good and sleep.

severus is not a cuddler although he has had so few experiences with anyone wishing to hang around after sex. during the war, he fucked around a few times out of a need to feel something just in case he got killed.

potter is will probably be open to doing more than most of my muses. the others are more vanilla than you think but tend to open up more depending on their partner. however, their sex drives vary so lower sex drive means they don't have this incessant need to be satisfied all the time. that applies to my death eaters namely.

albus has trust issues so he probably wont let you restrain him, cuff him or any of that. it just...depends and right now he only trusts one man wholeheartedly and even with him, he'd probably still say no.

Potter, Severus and Albus are not very loud during sex. Potter however, it more likely to make all the sounds. You'll def know if he's feeling good. Severus is very reserved. If you get sounds out of him, you're doing great. But even if you don't, it doesn't mean you're not. He's just conditioned to remain in complete control of his emotions and has a hard time letting himself go during the act. Which is why its usually 'business as usual' for sex. Until he actually falls in love or gets with someone who cares enough to break him, you wont get much out of him in either era. Albus will do his best to bite back all of his groans and fail most of the time. He gasps a lot, breathes heavily... he might not be loud but what he does let slip is enough to turn any partner on.

What is inside your muse's pockets/bag/purse/backpack/etc. right now?

For Albus, he carries very little in his pockets. Maybe a pocket watch for show but evidence shows he's not one for carrying a bulky wallet in his back pocket. He often keeps some kind of candy / sweets on hand too, as he has a massive sweet tooth. Wand is usually tucked in an inside pocket. Not that he actually needs the wand. He's proficient in wandless magic --- to be expected from the heir of Gryffindor.

Severus... older Severus carries around very small vials of potions. They range from anti venoms, veritiserum, and other healing gems. As he is constantly on the go between the castle and Voldemort, it never hurts to carry around things he might need given Tom's mood swings. Severus has splinched himself before after being too exhausted to apparate properly. And he was in pain for other reasons so he carries all kinds of stuff.

Gilderoy? Pens / quills so that he can sign autographs.

Albus? He loves himself a fedora and owns several VERY EXPENSIVE trench coats. They were all gifts because he IS beloved by most.

Severus has some platform boots that he loves. ( Marauder Era )

Gilderoy? His whole wardrobe is a work of art in his mind.

Albus and Severus are very good cooks though Severus probably has the edge here. Albus likes all sorts of food but pastas are his favorite comfort food. And of course, pastries of all kinds. Severus errs more towards complex soups. As you can imagine, he loves mixing broths and creating delicious food. Severus can probably make most of his favorite dishes while Albus struggles with the more complex pastry dishes. He excels with savory dishes to be honest. He's probably spend more time perfecting the baking craft if he had time and a reason to do so. ( A la a significant other who enjoys his baking. )

Potter isn't a bad cook either. He likes a good omlette and french toast. But he kinda dislikes certain cakes and things, as they remind him of his aunt.

I love when I find good meta written by actual therapists and not tumblr's idea of googling shit and thinking they're suddenly experts. At any rate, I stand by my whole canon that Severus ---- be it book or movie --- was NEVER obsessed with Lily. Miss me with it. He genuinely cared about her. And... She was probably the only real friend he ever had followed by Albus who took advantage of him despite likely caring for him too. But that's the ONLY reason he clung to Lily's light for dear life. It got him through tough times regardless of her choosing James and electing to crucify him over some shit said out of passion ( as was her right. he deserved it ). I will never ship them romantically, but I do think Severus really loved the idea of her romantically. It was never going to happen though.

I just can't get over how both Albus and Severus look when they care about someone. Albus is just blatantly obvious. The way his eyes dance when he first sees Gellert... And the shine in his eyes as he watches Newt, his friend. And Severus... how you can see his heart sink in his face when people have it all wrong. When they think he doesn't care but in truth, he really does. It's so subtle at times BUT FUCKING ITS THERE.

Albus and Severus are a walking version of tension. Albus, just... always needs to feel in control while Severus clings to what control he has left. Both could do with a bit of unraveling but so far, neither has trusted anyone enough to bed them. Albus has one person atm who's potentially there but no one else comes close. And Severus. Absolutely no one right now. And Harry. He needs a good sex session too but he's such a control freak too at times that few would get to see him come undone. He does have that one guy he'd love to take his time with out of sheer curiosity, but he'll never say who it is. They'll know when / if they ever speak.
