i'm so obsessed with gain that i forgot narsha is a solo career icon on top of beg fame as well 삐리빠빠 was EVERYWHERE for a while like everyone knew the dance and i forgot that was her!!!!

it's the genre that i call korean supermarket music cuz in the late 2000s there always seemed to be like a kpop female diva pop song playing and nobody and hurricane venus and other classics r in that genre for me lol

Song Rec. #6 : Narsha-삐리빠빠 (Bbi Ri Bba Bba)

Todays jam is Narsha's Bbi Ri Bba Bba. I usually have this song on my fall playlist because of how kinda spooky it is? The outfits that the backup dancers have in some scenes make me think of a bizzaro mix of Chucky and Freddy Krueger. Some of them are dressed as Freddy, but then in other scenes they have red hair, did he have red hair??? The way she sings the title of the song will get stuck in your head, by the way. I'll be driving along and I will suddenly start ppi ri ppa ppa-ing out of nowhere. The sound is overall creepy so in retrospect I should have saved this song for October, but I wanted to share it now!! The music video starts as a construction worker drills a hole in the floor and peeks in to see Narsha and a bunch of dead Freddy's around her, then he takes another peek and she is now in white and she brings him into the weird little dimension she is in, in some shots he seems naked and in other shots he is in a full suit. The video does have a great halloween aesthetic going for it. This is another one of those songs I listened to a lot when it first came out, and it is one I can see myself continuously listening to for many years to come.
