변호사도 변호사 나름이구나. 변호사 3명이 덤벼도 어째 아줌마 하나 감당을 못해? 핫바리들만 모여서는.... 이래서 로스쿨 출신들은 믿을 게 못 된다니까. 돈 좀 더 주고 대형 로펌 쓰자니까 회사 노인네들 말 지독히도 안 듣지. 판사가 한 마디하면 아주 디프레스 돼서는 반박도 못하고. 변호사님 그래서 변호사 하겠습니까.

괴법 19. 오늘도 심박은

목요일은 우리 지역 법원의 합의부 재판과 선고가 있는 날이다.

아무래도 단독 재판부 사건에 비하여 크고 복잡한 사건이 많기 때문에 왠지 심란해지는 날이다.

우리 지역 법원은 합의부가 하나 뿐이기 때문에 온갖 변호사들이 목요일이면 같은 법정 앞을 서성거린다.

이번 주 목요일은 나의 합의부 사건 3건의 선고가 예정되어 있던 날이었다.

그러나 무엇인가 알 수 없는 운명의 장난과, (아마도) 판사님들의 업무과중, 인과율의 장난 등에 의해 2건의 선고는 연기되었다.

결국 1건의 선고만 남았더라.

그것은... 3년이 넘게 끌어온 공사대금 사건.

내가 이 사무실을 도망가기 전에 담당하다가 도망간 후에 다른 변호사님이 맡으셨다가 그 분이 다시 도망가서 결국 나에게 돌아온 사건이었다.

하울도 말했다. 인생은 회전목마라고.

초임때부터 하던 사건이라 괜시리 암중모색을 하며 처리했던 사건이었다.

상대 변호사님은 나름 큰 법인의 경력 있는 분인데 약간 재수 없는 양반이었다.

법정에서 나에게 “원고 변호사님이 아직 잘 모르시는 것 같은데...” 같은 드립을 치셨다가 나는 빈정이 상했고 원한을 품었다.

기회를 노리다가 감정결과에 의구심을 품는 상대편 변호사님 주장에  “감정 때는 가만히 계시다가 이제와서 감정 결과를 뒤엎기 위해 그런 자료를 내는 것은 실기한 주장이고 기회주의적인 소���전략이다!” 같은 괴비난을 했는데 왠지 재판장님이 맞는 말이라고 하셔서 머쓱하기도 하였다.

그러나 법정에서 큰 소리 치는 것과 승패의 여부는 사실은 별로 상관 없다.

승패를 장담 못할 안개 같은 날들이 지나 드디어 선고날이 되어버린 것이다.

제길!

원래는 재판 선고 때는 내가 들어가지 않고 직원분이 듣고 오신다.

하지만 이번엔 너무 궁금하기도 하고, 선고를 마치면 내가 들어가야하는 재판도 있는지라 직접 듣기로 하고 법정에 앉았다.

그러나.

왜 이렇게 불안한가.

사실은 전날 밤도 잘 자지 못했다.

결과가 걱정되어서이다.

과연 운명은 무엇인가. 아아. 휠 오브 포춘이여.

제비가 낮게 나니 패소인가. 돌아가신 할머니가 벌떡 일어나시는 꿈이 있었으니 승소인가.

별별 생각을 다하고 있었다.

심지어 손목에 찬 갤럭시 핏을 보니 심박수는 130.

성인의 정상 심박수는 60에서 100이다.

여기서 나는 끝인가.

가슴은 쿵쾅쿵쾅 뛰고 식은 땀이 날 지경이었다.

도대체 왜 나는 불안한가.

나는 내 티셔츠 값도 돈 천 원 깎지 않는 사람인데 타인의 돈을 위해 이렇게 긴장하며 살아가고 있다.

쿵쾅쿵쾅.  침이 마른다.

하지만 민사재판 선고란 맥없이 금방 끝나기 마련이다.

결국은 1억 5천 만원 청구를 인정 받았다.

청구금액에 비하면 좀 적은 게 아닌가 싶겠지만, 어차피 애매모호한 부분이 있어서 일부러 크게 청구한 것이고 주요 주장은 다 인정 받았더라.

그리고 상대방 반소도 모두 기각이라 나쁜 결과는 아니었다.

심지어 나중에 판결문을 받아보니 판사님이 지적한 부분을 좀 보완하면 항소심에서 더 받을 수 있을 것 같은 느낌.

선고가 끝나고 나서야 심박수가 정상으로 돌아오더라.

그제야 정신을 차리고 내 담당 재판을 진행하였다.

아. 이런 마음가짐으로 평생 이 일을 할 수 있을까.

매일매일을 남의 돈 때문에 불안해하며 심박수가 널뛰는 삶.

그런 생각을 했다.

아니 이런 상황으로 과연 난 제 명에 살 수는 있나.

이미 수명은 많이 줄어든 것 같기도 하다.

오늘의 사건은 끝났지만 이것으로 해피엔드도 아니다.

소송엔 끝이 없고, 판결이 나도 항소도 있다.

오늘의 사건 뒤에는 또 내일의 사건이 있다.

내 심박은 또 오른다.

씨잼, 여친 속옷차림 공개만? 19금 스킨십까지…TMI 노출

씨잼이 수위높은 여자친구 사진을 연달아 공개하면서 이목을 집중시키고 있다. 래퍼 씨잼은 27일 자신의 인스타그램에 '내 침대에서 보는 너'(watching you on my bed)라는 제목과 함께 여자친구의 모습이 담긴 사진을 게재했다. 공개된 사진 중엔 여자친구가 속옷만 입고 있는 모습도 포함돼 있어 논란이 불거졌다. 하지만 씨잼이 여자친구와 관련해 수위 높은 사진과 영상을 공개한 건 이번이 처음이 아니라는 지적이다.

씨잼은 지난 9일에도 여자친구의 가슴을 움켜쥐고 있는 모습을 공개했다.

하지만 2018년  대마초와 코카인 등 마약을 흡입한 포항 op 사이트 혐의로 기소돼 마약류 관리에 관한  법률 위반 혐의로 구속 기소됐고, 구속 직전 "녹음은 마쳤다"는 글을 SNS에 올리면서 논란을 자처했다. 이후 씨잼은 징역 1년 6개월, 집행유예 2년을 선고받았다.

JK: It’s not Hong Cha Young. Hong Cha Young holds a different meaning, not a shade (he can rest under). In some way that’s one of the reasons why I think the work <Vincenzo> is a sad story- he’s met this most real (humanistic), most ideal person who he loves the most. He should be happy since he has, in the end, met that person who he loves but I think his inner turmoil is repeated. Hong Cha Young is someone who brings him more turmoil. Because he loves her. Because he loves her.

GQ: Because he loves her.

JK: To the character Vincenzo, who is much more atrocious/evil than the four villains combined, Hong Cha Young is a welcome partner/companion but also the reason his life is in more pain. Because he now has someone who is so precious to him. [...]

I am trying to be invested in these new kdrama couples, but I’m struggling. It’s like Sure, they’re cute but are they let’s-drink-until-four-in-the-morning-let-me-hug-you-for-ten-seconds-to-see-if-I-have-feelings-for-you-do-you-know-the-difference-between-ingeoppang-and-bungeoppang cute?

Some translation changes to the confession scene of Vincenzo from a native Korean’s perspective

Chayoung: 많이 보고 싶었어요. I missed you a lot.

Vincenzo: 나도요. 거기서 계속 변호사님 생각만 했어요. Me too. I thought of only you all the while I was there.

Chayoung: 치, 별로 안 느껴지던데? Chi- I didn’t really feel it / It didn’t really feel that way. (implying if he missed her so much she would’ve felt it.) *Chi is the sound you make when you’re jokingly angry at someone.

<After the kiss>

Vincenzo: 이제 느껴져요? Can you feel it now?

Vincenzo: 악당은 절대 헤어지지 않아요. 사랑도 독하게 하니까. Villains never break up because they’re tenacious- even when they love. (This one’s ok. Tenacious is okay but it works with intense too and implies an intensely deep and committed love.)
