Morundae Geo-site is a small peninsula next to Dadaepo Beach in Busan, famous for its various geological/tectonic features, graceful scenery of sea cliffs, wave-cut platforms, shingle beaches, and so on. Also, famous for historical sites: Ancient Dadaepo Guesthouse (“Dadaejin Dongheon다대진동헌”, used as a guesthouse for local government officials during the Joseon Dynasty era) and monument of Jeong Un (who died heroically in the sea battle against Japanese invaders in 1592). Walking along the Gouni Eco-trail (고우니 생태길) around dusk after watching sunset. The Gouni ecological trail at Dadaepo Beach Park is built over sea-water stream. The word gouni (고우니) means a Tundra Swan which is also a symbol of Saga-gu district. Ancient Dadaepo Guesthouse As mentioned on the information board, this structure was used as a guesthouse for local government officials during the Joseon Dynasty era. The exact date of construction is not known, but it was rebuild in 1825 (the 25th year of King Sunjo’s reign). Only the guesthouse's pillars and roof remained until the structure's restoration in 1970. Busan Metropolitan City designated the structure as Busan Tangible Cultural Property No. 3 in 1972.
