a walk in the park was the perfect way to wake herself up and shake off the hangover that had been plaguing taerin all morning. there was something about the fresh air, the sound of the birds chirping and the sun that seemed to make everything better.

airpods in and iced latte in hand, the blonde was in her own little world as she strolled amongst the trees, enjoying the serenity around her until she was caught off guard by the sight of an all too familiar figure falling flat on her face.

“oh, shit!” were the first words that escaped her lips before she hurried over. “please, i don’t think anyone else saw.” she attempted to reassure, purposefully ignoring the fact that a few of their nearby fellow park-goers had stopped what they were doing to gawk. “it happens to the best of us, don’t you worry.” a smile curved at her lips then, extending her hand for the other. “how did it even happen? all i caught was the tumble.”

Sofia often found herself at the park going through new routines that she would show to the girls at the academy. the music played inside of her head and her body flowed effortlessly with each movement. it was bittersweet in a sense that she missed being up on the stage, but she was instantly reminded why when pain surged through her knee in the midst of a turn, feeling her body collapse, ready to brace for the fall on the grass when arms caught her.

Her head turns to look up at the person. "thank you," her cheeks turn a rosy shade, quickly moving herself upright and out of their embrace, hand smoothing over her legs. "oh a scale of one to ten, how pathetic did i look?" she jokes. it may have been six years since her accident, but most days it felt like yesterday.
