Round 1 Poll 4
惡人死好: 「更換歌手後,恕樂團最近推出的一首歌曲。這是他們最新專輯《嗷!嗷!Revolution》中的歌曲,整張專輯都很棒。」
("A more recent Shù Yuètuán (Pardon Orchestra/Solemn 恕/Whatever you want to call them, their multiple names are inconsistent) release, following the change in vocalist. This song is included in their latest album, Ow! Ow! Revolution, the entirety of which is great.")
youtube
Opportunity and Perseverance: 「this song has themes of feeling outcast and distanced by people who claim they love you, meanwhile you're suffering and they don't care. or maybe it's just a song from the perspective of a dying mars rover. btw do you know morse code? no reason」

Round 1 Poll 10
("Solemn is bigger in Taiwan, but unknown in the West. I've been a fan for years, and they've accompanied me through many a high school study session. The song being from the album of the same name, Devastated Ruins was my first introduction to them. Immediately hooked.")
youtube
Picaroon: 「This song makes me want to dance and spin around! Gives me that sort of giddy feeling. Also the bit in the middle with the distorted guitar is so good. The lyrics are about someone who lives with anxiety, who wishes they could just find peace. Mclean is a franco-ontarian artist from Sudbury, and it makes me so happy that he's authentic and creates music that's part of our culture.」

Round 2 Poll 2
You're In My Thoughts: 「Well. First of all it's very very good. The spoken lyrics and yelling background vocals are like heaven to me. And then it switches to the chorus and it extends this note that feels like it doesn't quite finish before being dropped, which leaves you feeling a sort of musical inertia when you move into the next part of the song. After another spoken part, the vocals stop and then there's guitars that mimic and play off each other, which is definitely one of my favorite parts in the song. It's very catchy. It's definitely one of those songs that you can feel when you sing.」

嗯,这很有趣。我也注意到了中国大陆乐队也是如此,比如大主宰乐团。所以这就是原因。
(Translation below the cut but I’m just going to copy whatever Translate says when I plug in the screenshot because I’m a busy, lazy lad.)
Strange phenomenon in Taiwanese orchestra culture:
When the group name is less than 3 characters, we will automatically add 2 words "orchestra" to call it, for example: Fire Extinguisher Band, Random Band, Magic Stick Band, Chairman Band
But when the group name itself has more than 4 or 5 characters, such as Caodong no party, blood juice machine, thank you boy, heartbroken, everyone will directly call the group name instead of adding the band for you 2 characters
