New single from 倒車入庫 Reversing into Garage   =D
Liao,Yu-Jin aka ‘Nikolai’-bass.
Miao 喵 aka 陳銘修 Ming-Hsiu Chen (fr. BB彈 / B.B. Bomb) is credited as the drummer on this song - the band don’t list an official drummer. Syuan Chang (ex-KurumiQ) was playing with them for some time (2018), but I don’t see her in any photos from 2019. (and her fb is closed or changed)
Some notable things in the credits:
奧利佛 Oliver Ching (from 飢餓藝術家 The Hunger Artist and founder of Black Market Music Production 黑市音樂) is listed as Producer.
顧孟堯 Raven Gu (from 眠腦 Sleeping Brain) is listed as Assistant Producer and Recording Engineer. Raven’s band is also on Black Market Music, as is Reversing into Garage.
The Instruments were recorded at 玉成戲院錄音室 YuChen Cinema Studio, but Andy Baker doesn’t seem to be involved; that’s the first time I’ve noticed any recording from StudioYuChen without Andy being credited.  That’s not unusual – busy studios get work from many clients who have their own production team.  =)

Remember 張璿 Syuan Chang from 核桃 KurumiQ? She's gone from playing folk pop with her sister 張瑀 Yu to playing indie rock with 倒車入庫 Reversing into Garage!  =D
Tumblr media
Lyvon 里鳳-voc, Layne Cheng 鄭愷-gtr, Sadog Sato 陳融-gtr, Nikolai 育槿-bass
She just joined the band recently, and it is so good to see her rock out on the full kit!  The band’s previous drummer may be gone for a year of military service(?). They announced his departure in July.  So perhaps this a temporary gig for 張璿 Syuan.
TVBS NEWS has the full set in beautiful quality a/v, starting at 2:26:22.  (I tried to embed the clip to begin at that time, but it’s not working) By the way, rhythm guitarist Sadog Sato 陳融 fronts his own band SADOG, and you can see their set starting at 1:00:00.
Upcoming shows for 倒車入庫 Reversing into Garage:
AUG 17【 #tbt Chapter. 2 】一種心情 x 倒車入庫  at The Wall Live House
Vol.2 (w/ CROCODELIA & The Stressful Sound  at Revolver
Elsewhere on this video are sets from The Tic Tac, Ripple, Triple Deer, Sleeping Brain 眠腦, I Mean Us (double duty for guitarist 楊永純 Vitz Young with I Mean Us & Triple Deer. And also for 漢克 Hank Chen, who plays bass for both I Mean Us & SADOG). There are a few more bands, but I don’t recognize them from the (Chinese) names on the video screen.  One of the last sets of the day is GDJYB Elephant Gym playing together.  Lots of good music on that stage on Saturday!  =D
UPDATE, I’ve been watching all of the other bands on this clip, and I really appreciate this opportunity to see the bands play!   I Mean Us had a bit of microphone static at the beginning of their set, but that didn’t deter them from putting on a fun show. =D
Burning Island 火燒島 from Tainan came on and the singer had blood on his face - I thought, oh no, did he just he get into a fight backstage?! - but then I saw the entire band was bleeding, so that’s just heavy metal, LOL.
Gonna watch the ‘math-rock battle’ of GDJYB Elephant Gym next:
Okay, that was very cool!  =D    Each band played 2 songs by themselves, then they started mixing it up, sometimes one or two would play along with the other band, until they ended the set all playing together. 2 drummers, 2 guitarists, Wing Chan from GDJYB on bass, KT from Elephant Gym on flute!   Shared vocal with Soft & KT.  That’s something they should release together as a single, it was outstanding!  =D

They rehearsed for the battle ahead of time:

Just wanna add that TVBS channel had a full slate of bands they streamed on Sunday.  (And FRIDAY) The clips start with some banter with the various vendors and chit chat by the charming host, and the music starts around 1 hour in.  First band on Sunday was Soundboss They played an excellent, lively set, but I think it’s gonna be their last gig together, from what I read on fb.  =(
The Sunday stream was shorter than the others. I think some acts didn’t allow broadcast? I have no info, I just saw a couple of people wondering why they didn’t have Cheer Chen 陳綺貞’s set?  Anyway, I just noticed that at least 2 other YT channels have songs from her set.

New MV from 倒車入庫 Reversing into Garage
The visual is a relentless downer, but the song is good!
Damien Stone (FunkyBrothers 放客兄弟) played sax on the tune.
The credited drummer is 張璿 Zhang Xuan / 張璿 Syuan Chang, who used to be in the sister duo 核桃 KurumiQ (w/ 張瑀 Chang Yu), but it seems she is no longer in 倒車入庫 Reversing into Garage. The band don’t list a drummer among the members, and their current promo shots just show the 4 guys.
As a matter of fact, my fb pages for 張璿 are not working, so perhaps she has changed her name again or is taking a hiatus from social media?   I hope she picks up with another band, ‘cos I enjoyed hearing her on the full drum kit, playing rock and roll.

張瑀 Yu (ex-核桃 KurumiQ) new demo with Eli Hsieh 謝震廷
Yu and her sister 張璿 Syuan still play some occasional events together, but I think 張瑀 Yu was by herself at Madker Live House & Restaurant 美德客音樂餐酒館 in Kaohsiung this past Saturday:

It’s not up on YT yet, but you can watch the stream of 核桃 KurumiQ’s Q Live! U & mi episode #5 with guests Yi-Cheng Yi-Ching over at facebook.
I wonder what they’re *talking about in this photo?  Perhaps 依靜 Yi-ching is explaining to 張璿 Syuan that there should always be one sister with long hair and one sister with short hair, otherwise the fans get confused.   =)
(Okay, forgive me my levity. It’s possible they were discussing something serious; feel free to clue me in if you know?)
