(edit: if you wanted to know my personal interpretation... watch the can in bones' hand. and the colors mean things loll. i think i'll make an explanation tomorrow just for fun)
i know this new song is stylistically quite different from the metal-pop sound of the esc era and the last few releases, so i'm not surprised some fans don't know what to think of it or just downright don't like it. but personally i have been waiting for another rap release, and i was a little nervous kä would start to prioritize market appeal over having fun with his music and being authentically silly. so i'm quite glad!
i know i should save my thoughts for the full song but i'm already so obsessed with the little snippet, the beat is very catchy and käärijä's flow is so rhythmically satisfying~
I saw someone (who isn't Chinese) blaming hima for bringing Shinatty-Chan back and saying that hima was racist.Seriously, the Chinese fandom didn't mind at all and thought that cat bro was cute. You just shouldn't even surf the internet if you have to be so sensitive about everything
kinda obsessed with li tongguang and yang ying actually. they’re rival disciples vying for their shifu’s attention. they hate each other’s guts. they can’t stand the sight of each other. but then she falls from the sky and he catches her before she hits the ground. they make an allyship of their situation, young marquis and younger prince, a pawn duke and a pawn princess. they are locked in the same cage and they mourn at the same grave and they keep the same secret. they share fire-roasted taro cooked by her fire and sliced by his sword. they marry for the fates of their respective states even though they’re both in love with people who can never be theirs again. she covers him with a cloak when he insists on resting outside with the soldiers and she brings him rations and reinforcements when he needs them instead of staying away like he asked her to. the smiles they share now are less of teeth and more of oaths— i promise that i will be good to you. and when everyone they know is gone, they continue to stand side by side, guarding what was left behind. a husband and his wife, being alone together.
