First drawing of 2024!!! 🎉 A fluffy moment from Tears Don't Put Out the Fire. It's going to be just about equal parts angst and fluff, so you can count on lots of cute moments like this.

Bos isn't used to his hair being this long, so he still needs help putting it up. Or maybe he just likes the way it feels when Ryza brushes it. Either way, Ryza loves playing with his hair, so she doesn't mind. 💙

This scene is fairly late in TDPOF. Ryza went to bed having completely forgotten about her own birthday... but Bos certainly did not!!! What did he get her??!! You will find out eventually. ⏳

Another fic reveal, once again after 6 months of working on it!!! It's finally time to introduce my upcoming modern AU fic: Summer Songs and the Silent Fall.

The story begins in 2014, when Ryza moves from her rural sub-Viennese village to the huge and bustling Berlin. She's excited to start her new job at the Valentz company's fine music shop, and reunite with some old friends attending university. It's her first time living on her own, and she's eager to become self-sufficient and find her own way. But she doesn't stop Bos from helping her raise a stray kitten she found in some ruins outside the city. Working together to take care of a wild animal reminds Bos and Ryza of their reckless youth, and some old wounds begin to ache. Ryza dreams of building her own analog synths, but struggles to even get started without a proper education. Meanwhile Bos is set to inherit all the responsibility of the Brunnen winery, but his heart is weighed down by his family's secret shame. Through school, stress, dreams, and grief, two former delinquents rediscover their shared love of music and adventure, hoping to reconcile that passion with the realities of adulthood.

This drawing took forever to get right, because I wanted to sneak in as many clues as possible to the themes of their backstory. But also, I just wanted the night sky to be pretty. 😌

This is one of the two main fics I'm focused on right now, and it's gonna be a long one, possibly even more ambitious than ICSTW. It will be a while before I'm ready to start publishing this story, but I'll be dropping some teasers in the meantime! Nothing will be super spoiler-y, but just in case, go ahead and block #ssatsf spoilers if you want to go in fresh!

I come to you bearing a fic teaser 👀

I recently announced Summer Songs and the Silent Fall, my modern AU BooRai fic. I've been sitting on this drawing for MONTHS, waiting for the right time to share it! This is a parody of one of my favorite album covers of all time (Love at First Sting). I couldn't pass up the opportunity to draw Bos and Ryza like this, since this story mainly takes place in Germany, and 80's music is a heavy theme throughout. And it's just so....... them. I have a couple other album cover ideas, in the new wave area....... hmMmmMmm👺

I may have made a big mistake by drawing this.... now I kind of want to get Ryza's Fi tattoo...

Ryza wanted to trespass to get alchemy materials. Bos tried to talk her out of it but volunteered to go with her "to protect her." Bos got them caught, but Ryza was the one who decided to fight the guards. They lost 😌
