Doraemon Short Film: Dorami-chan: Wow, the Kid Gang of Bandits (1991)

In this next Dorami-led short film, Nobita's great-great grandson Sewashi becomes concerned about another one of his distant ancestors, so he sends Dorami to the year 1580 so she can help him out. (Naturally, the other members of the regular Doraemon cast have doppelgangers in this time period as well.)

I think this one is fun! It really highlights how Dorami approaches problem-solving and how she differs from Doraemon. The usual mistakes that Doraemon makes in the movies, like being too disorganized to find gadgets or forgetting to bring the right ones? You won't see that here. At the same time, the story also shows that Dorami has enough restraint to step back when needed and let the people she's helping help themselves. One gets a good sense of why she hardly ever gets to join the main adventures in feature-length movies.
