[translation and lyrics] 創造のイデア by Ariabl’eyeS

Loose song from the 2014 collaboration album Sephirotic Traumerei. The album has a pretty nice concept: a ton of different bands all doing one song for each of the Sephirot, and the bands featured include some of my favorites: Ariabl’eyeS, Dragon Guardian, Resonecia and most notably Iron Attack among others. Needless to say I was pretty excited to check it out, and then massively disappointed because most of them phoned it in lol (specially iron attack).

Anyway, this one’s pretty ok because it opened the album so they couldn’t screw it up right away. It goes by the lowermost of the sephirot, Malchut or “Kingdom”, and it’s about a fallen kingdom coincidentally. It’s a pretty ok song, we’ll be doing two other ones from the album rather than the whole thing. Lyrics down below and see you all soon.

the story of god's abandonment, that monologue repeats itself that pitiful story of the end of paradise just a bit of sand was piled up where that dream crumbled apart how brittle was the happiness in this paradise

[translation and lyrics] Mutig - Einleitung- by Resonecia

The best song from the album and the last one we’re doing from it. The folks of Resonecia went all in as hard as possible on this one and it shows. This one corresponds to Geburah, the sefirot of judgement and law, and they also went all in on that theme by making it about a totalitarian theocracy, so that’s pretty neat, though it’s a bit on the long side running a whole 6 minutes. Overall it’s a great track, lyrics down below and see you all next time.

[translation and lyrics] Eternal Dawn by Dragon Guardian

Another song from that album and it’s from another familiar face: Dragon Guardian. Unfortunately this time around they don’t have Fuki on the vocals which is a sad departure but hey, Miiya is plenty good. This song corresponds to the seventh sefirot, Netzach, which symbolizes “endurance” and victory after much perseverance and suffering. The song itself, well it’s not a home run but the music is pretty endearing and the backup vocals are very, very sweet making it a pretty neat oasis in this album that’s otherwise very negatively charged. The song narrates what is basically an isekai, with the character turning a new leaf after having lived a lost life without direction, don’t we all wish we could do that, plus it ties pretty nicely with the sefirot.
