     Oswald was having dinner at the table, unaware of who had joined until they said something - and those words had him nearly choke on his food and coughed before shooting his head back to look at the one who spoke. His brain went into a short circuit as he tried to figure out if Jerome meant it literally or sexually, or maybe even in a different way - it was always hard to tell. Oswald cleared his throat with a slight insult expression resting on his face. "What if I had you tied to a fucking chair and starve you instead! Don't forget I actually ate a human pie once - sure you can miss a few fingers." It was the most disgusting pie he had ever had - knowing that the meat pie was made from human flesh and he would never do it again. "Sure I know a few street dogs that love to feast on your insanity..."

     Oswald stared at Edward when he says those words - difficulty with catching on what they meant, even if they were perfectly clear. “That’s not what love means!” He blurted out. Not that Oswald had any idea what love truly meant - it was just his perspective on what love shouldn’t be, which was letting them go. “It means staying by their side no matter what! You’re just looking for an excuse to flee like everyone else does!” Emotions getting the better of him. The idea of letting the other go was unheard of, unthinkable and to Oswald, it sounded like he was trying to find a way to be free of Oswald, to let him fall in Gotham’s sewers.

     Oswald had woken up in a panic and he was sure he saw someone standing in the corner of his bedroom before Edward burst in. Ed was in his line of view when he got closer and he pushed the other a bit aside to look if it was still there... But there was nothing... “There was something... There!” He pointed. Perhaps it had been just a nightmare and the fact Oswald was known for his growing paranoia.

     “No need for flattery! What is it you want? Come out with it...” Of course, Oswald doesn’t believe the compliment - no one ever complimented him on his features. Still, he wasn’t insulted - he was just a bit impatient.

(quick cry for Oswald maybe) "I don't love you. I could never love someone like you." (surejan)

     “No…” There was a light chuckle before that completely disappeared. “You’re lying, you don’t mean any of that!” Oswald finds it difficult to believe that Edward would mean the words he had just spoken, all the things they had done for each other - there had to be love involved! “Why would you lie to me?!” Trying to fight the tears that wanted to force their way down - he didn’t want him to see the impact this was having on him.

     Oswald looked a bit surprised as he was ready for the worst - instead, there was this horrid smell penetrating his nostrils and before he knew it his eyes started to burn and leak… “If you want to keep your hands, I would take that away if I were you!!” Oswald snapped when he noticed someone cutting onions next to him…

     "Ed... Without me, he still would have been a nobody and working himself into trouble at the G.C.P.D.! Always following me around after and it's kinda sad to see..."
