i need to have words with whoever dressed buck for his date bc what is even going on here??? white sneakers are super casual, paired with more formal shiny black dress pants (look at those pleats!), with a semi-casual button-up polo??? to say nothing of the disconnect colour-wise (the only worse outfits of his this season are the finale fits, but that’s another post). 

he looks as disappointed in himself as i am in the wardrobe department. 

i need to headcanon that he had trouble deciding on what to wear, going back and forth for an hour before finally landing on an ensemble he thought was good [spoiler alert: it was not, in fact good]. for someone who had dressed pretty well this season, this outfit was shock-horror.

Angelic Pretty Pop Love

I will be selling this dress (possibly sold already, payment pending!) so I did one last mannequin coordinate with it to photograph it for the listing. I really love this release but I want it in the red colorway.

I finished my dress! Self-drafted pattern, based on 50s dresses. Dress is self-lined, made from 100% cotton, with pockets in the side-seams and an invisible zipper in the back.

This was my first self-drafted project and I'm so happy with how it turned out! These pictures were taken before the first wash + subsequent ironing, so any dirt / markings / wrinkles that are visible should be gone after that.

Pearl of the Realm [Part 1, 2]

inspired by Twitter posts about Lucerys showing up to court in this pearl lingerie set and blowing Aemond’s virginal, incel mind to absolute smithereens, bringing him to his knees in a public space like the loser he is. I don’t know which Lucemond Twitter account talking about this specifically caught my attention, so lemme know/tag them if you do bc they got the gears in my brain TURNING ok I went into a trance and when I awoke, Luke dripping in pearls appeared. As he should. Also, fun fact, the reference pic had white pearls but I used Tahitian/black pearls instead, because Team Black, and also they’re generally more rare.

Re: your recent response about Draco wearing blue - fashion is not something I tend to pick up on (or understand very well generally), so I’m always curious to hear more about it! Do you have any other fashion thoughts you want to elaborate on? You’ve talked a bit about Draco and Hermione’s fashion, what about Harry or Ron?

Aw, yeah! I'll preface this by saying that the following is a combination of canon and headcanon; some of this is evidenced in the text of the fic, but some of it probably isn't, it's just something that's in my head when describing them.

Harry's pretty small in Lionheart, as a consequence of chronic malnutrition in childhood mixed with a genetic predisposition to it (James is canonically a short king, cf. "Hairy Little Christmas.") That means a lot of his muggle clothes don't fit well, being hand-me-downs from Dudley; in contrast, his school robes, which we know he got tailored at Malkin's, seem to fit normally (i.e., Harry fits better in the magical world, it's his home, it suits him). In general, Harry's fashion is "adequate, but not great," which makes sense; he never had the chance to choose his own clothes growing up, and then he went to boarding school with a uniform, so when would he develop a sense of style? Honestly, it's a relief for him to have one fewer decisions to make.

Like Ron, Harry's uniform isn't super meticulous, but he seems to make an effort. He does his tie and keeps his shirt clean, etc. (which makes sense; Harry cares about belonging here). When we see Harry out of uniform, he's usually wearing baggy t-shirts and jeans, which are the least nice clothes you could give to someone while still expecting them to last; they're also clothes that fit loose and hang long on his body (very late-80's + early 90's).

Ron, on the other hand, doesn't have any qualms about belonging in the magical world; he was born to it. This manifests as a laziness with his robes. He doesn't bother with his tie as much, if at all, and when he does it's not the right knot (Draco points it out in Book 3); since he's the brother of not one but two Head Boys, we have to assume that's deliberate, or that at some extent his lack of attention is a deliberate manifestation of something. Ron is youngest boy, he has self-esteem issues, and the way this manifests is by Ron never asking for anything and then getting sour when nothing goes his way. He doesn't try, so he can't feel bad when he fails. Besides which, when Ron does try to dress nice, it backfires; it's either an uncomfortable costume, like in "Operation Prewett," or it's a horrible hand-me-down, e.g. the Yule Ball outfit. Contrast him with the other Weasley boys, many of whom — especially the three oldest — have their own cultivated aesthetics, because they all know who they are. Ron is figuring that out, and it manifests in stylistically messy ways.

headcanon time:

kim is a morning person. kenta is… not.

kim naturally wakes up at dawn, ready to have a healthy breakfast and work out. the first time they have a sleepover at his place, he turns around to see if kenta is up for joining him and kenta basically groans and blaaarghs his way under the covers until only a tuft of hair is visible. It's stupidly adorable.

kim will bring kenta breakfast, later, at a more human hour.

kenta, eyeing the tall smoothie glass: you know, considering how many of these i've had thrown at me, i don't think i ever had one

kim: *chokes on a slice of mango*

but as they get more serious, kenta tries. he really does. he gets up with kim and puts on his sneakers and they go on a morning run because morning runs make kim happy. this is how kim discovers it is actually possible for a human being to run five miles while mostly asleep. on one memorable occasion kenta is this close to actually jogging face first into a lamp post before kim grabs his arm and steers him back onto the path.

kim: seriously, how did you survive working for tony?

kenta: the constant threat of physical harm
