     HE  TURNED  THE  LOCK  ON  THE  DOOR.  this was  ...  a slightly over - reactive action,  but he wasn't entirely sure what there was to do.  this version of himself  ...  this person he was presented with was so terribly broken.  he was a danger,  to himself  &&  to others.  he had some intent to sort out what had happened to him,  how to send him back to where he belonged,  too,  but it would take time.  he could not keep a close eye on him well enough with him floating around free,  or even to trust him to follow him around.  he didn't know the capabilities,  the limits,  any of it.

         ❛  listen,  alright,  i will be back.  this is for your own good,  there's hardly a way for you to get hurt in there.  ❜    it was,  after all,  a cold,  half - lit,  completely empty room.  he'd put in a mattress with sheets  &&  a quilt.  just in case.  he would be back within a couple hours.     ❛  i can't have you seen around here causing problems.  we can start sorting things out when i get back,  but i have a few meetings.  ❜

Vito was going to stick his claws inside the toaster to see where the bread was coming from! Spontaneous bread??? Limitless bread??? He has to know! He's the repair guy!

VOX IS QUICK TO PUSH VITO AWAY. unlike some others, he isn't necessarily angry, as much as concerned. those coils get very hot, && stay that way. a few slices of bread pop up in varied expressions of horror && concern.
