made a devastating realization today

GUSHING TIME!!!

hehehe got a commission from @zombidog and omg can i just say it was the best experience with a custom i have ever gotten? lemme walk you through it. (this is paraphrasing heavily lol)

so obviously i came to them for a commission and was like “yeah i just want a black furred bloodied and scarred dog head for my icon” and they were just like “that sounds awesome what kind of placements were you thinking of for the scars and blood?” but i’ve got aphantasia so i can’t visualize things well so i just asked explained that and asked if they could choose the placements and they agreed and proceeded to give me the best custom experience ever.

so they started out by sending me lots of examples for the different variables of the dog. and i’m talking quality examples too, like you’ll see in the photos but yeah they put the effort into making them look nice. (and you can see just how genuinely thoughtful they were)

after i decided my preferences for those it was onto the coloring of the dog and i was expecting them to just pick a black color but nope! they showed me options and how those options looked on the dog himself.

and one of my favorite parts is in the corner of their color chart is a doodle in the upper left corner (ill add a clearer photo below).

idk why but the tiny doodle brings me so much joy.

and then next they let me pick what kind of background i wanted. they already had a bone one ready that i liked so i picked that one. and then i chose how the background would be colored (which i didn’t even think about it being an choice in the first place /pos).

and then lastly they let me pick the color of the background! and once again they showed me how everything would look together which made it so so so easy for me to quickly see which combination i liked the most.

and as a cherry on top they sent the little head and background separately so i was able to have them combined and separate. (plus this made it to where i could use the blackout as my banner and the icon as well, my icon).

and this is the final piece! i love love it so fucking much. he has become our icon for everything from simply plural to discord. the amount of customization options and the fact that they showed me how everything looked really really made this my favorite experience ever. it turned out perfect and i am so thankful for that. oh yeah and it only cost $5 and it’s way way worth it. once i get paid again i am absolutely returning for more lol. my headmates already got their heads thinking of ideas for their blogs.
