Matt stood in front of the mirror, running a hand through his hair for the hundredth time, trying to make it look effortless. The night was set, and you and him were going out for dinner—just something casual, but the kind of night where he wanted to look good, especially for you.

You were standing near the door, adjusting your dress, looking flawless as always. You caught Matt’s eyes through the reflection in the mirror and smiled. “You ready to go?” you asked, stepping closer to him, your heels clicking softly on the wooden floor.

Matt nodded, but his throat felt dry. You looked breathtaking, and every time you got close to him like this, it became harder to keep his cool. “Yeah, just about.”

But before you could head out the door, your eyes sparkled with a mischievous glint, and you leaned in close. “Wait,” you whispered, your voice soft, almost teasing. “One last kiss before we go.”

Matt didn’t have time to process the request fully. Your hands gently slid up his chest as you closed the distance between you, pulling him into a kiss that was more heated than he expected. It was supposed to be quick, just a casual thing before you stepped out, but the way your lips moved against his made his thoughts scatter.

As soon as your lips left his, his pulse spiked. Your scent—sweet, familiar—flooded his senses, and suddenly, he wasn’t thinking about dinner anymore. His mind, his body, everything was focused on you. He swallowed hard, trying to keep himself in check, but there was no hiding the sudden tension in his body, especially from you.

You pulled back slightly, smirking, your eyes darting down as you noticed the shift in his stance.

“Matt…” Your voice had that playful lilt that drove him crazy.

He shifted awkwardly, feeling his face heat up, trying to play it off like nothing had happened. But you knew him too well. “You’re seriously—” you bit your lip, trying to suppress a laugh, “right before we’re about to leave?”

He rubbed the back of his neck, embarrassed but not entirely surprised. “You kissed me,” he mumbled defensively, trying to avoid your gaze. “What did you expect?”

You stepped even closer, your lips ghosting over his ear as you whispered, “We’ll be late for our reservation if you don’t calm down.”

Matt clenched his jaw, torn between pulling you back in or forcing himself to regain control. Your touch had that effect on him—always making him forget everything else. But he couldn’t help the smirk tugging at the corner of his lips. “Maybe we should skip dinner.”

You laughed softly, shaking your head as you took a step back, teasing him with your eyes. “Nice try. You’re taking me out, Sturniolo.”

Matt groaned inwardly, running his hand through his hair again, trying to focus on anything other than the ache building inside him. “Fine,” he muttered, grabbing his keys. “But you owe me for that.”

You winked at him, your voice low and teasing. “Maybe you’ll get lucky after dinner.”

Matt’s heart raced at the thought, and suddenly, dinner couldn’t go by fast enough.

matt was in the living waiting who knows how long for her to be done, mindlessly scrolling through his social media.

“are you almost ready yettt” matt called out growing very impatient and a little annoyed on how long she was taking.

“yes matt you’ve asked that about 5 times now just be patient for once my goodness.” she rolled her eyes and looked in the mirror one last time before walking out of her room and going into the living room where matt sat comfortably on the couch.

when she walked out matts eyes immediately went from his phone straight to his girlfriend, admiring at how beautiful she looked. He got up from the couch and walked his way over to y/n.

“you look so beautiful baby.” he smiled before taking her hand in his. “now let’s go I’m so exited to look for pumpkins I’ve been waiting all day”. he keep his hand in hers and made his way over to the door while she followed close behind him.

about 15 minutes later they finally arrived at the pumpkin patch. there were lots of different kinds of pumpkins along with some stands that served hot and cold drinks and some treats.

matt got out of the car and went over to y/n’s side to open of the door for her. she mouthed a quick “thank you” and they walked hand in hand to the many pumpkins displayed in front of them.

one pumpkin in particular caught her eye right away. It wasn’t to small, wasn’t to big, and there were absolutely no flaws about this pumpkin.

she walked up to matt, he was looking around at the bigger pumpkins. you lightly tapped him in the shoulder to gain his attention.

“matt i think this one is so perfect for me, what do you think?” she smiled. holding up the pumpkin for him to see.

“I think it’s perfect for you baby. he said and gave a kiss to my forehead. “I’ve been looking at these pumpkins and I think I found the perfect one for me aswell, opinions?” he questioned.

you looked at the pumpkin he was pointing at. It was a bigger than yours and there was a little puncture on the side, not very noticeable from a quick glance. “ooo it’s so perfect for you, my love.” she giggled.

soon after that they went of to the cashier to pay for the pumpkins along with some yummy treats and cold apple sider.

after an hour or so of them just hanging out and enjoying their time together they returned back home and grabbed their pumpkins out from the trunk of the car.

“today was so fun.” you smiled. puckering your lips up at him.

I have always been raised to never judge somebody based off of their political views, and normally, Im fine with that, i like to debate with people, but it doesnt change how i feel about them.

This election is different, its Trump vs. Harris, Felon vs. Prosecutor.

I genuinly do not understand how people can vote for Donald Trump, they say that their life was better under him than under biden, but biden didnt cause inflation, that was a global thing, actually, Kamala harris influenced the inflation reduction act which helped us lower inflation. Not to mention that the only reason the economy was great under trump was because OBAMA set it up that way, not trump.

You may be wondering, "how many issues do you have with donald trump?" and my answer is, alot.

Hes a 34 count felon and has been found civily liable for grape. He wants to impose tarrifs, that will make costs of goods worse. He wants to ban abortion, and impose a "normal family" law, basically demonizing gay marriage.

Thats just things that ive heard though, let me tell you some things that ive gotten from his website directly.

I will admit, Kamala isnt perfect, but she is by far better than trump. At least she has more than a concept of a plan for our country. And at least shes focusuing more on important things other than aliens eating pets and doing trans surgeries on criminals

I know, i cant vote yet, but i still like to try to influence those who can to do the right thing.

The room was quiet except for the soft hum of the baby monitor and the occasional rustle of the blanket. Matt stood in the doorway, his heart pounding as he gazed at the tiny bundle swaddled in a soft blue blanket in the crib. His hands were slightly trembling, and a knot of nerves tightened in his stomach.

You were sitting on the edge of the bed, your face lit up with a radiant, exhausted smile as you watched the baby. You had been incredible throughout the whole process, and now, as you looked at Matt, your eyes were filled with encouragement.

“Come on, Matt,” you said softly, patting the space next to you. “Come hold him. He’s waiting for you.”

Matt took a deep breath, trying to steady himself. “I don’t know, baby. What if I mess up? What if I’m not holding him right?”

Your smile widened as you shook your head. “You won’t mess up. He’s just a baby, and he’s not expecting you to be perfect. He just needs you to be there.”

Matt nodded, taking slow, deliberate steps towards the crib. The tiny face peeking out from the blanket was so peaceful, so fragile. He felt an overwhelming mix of love and fear. He had always imagined this moment, but now that it was real, the weight of responsibility felt heavy.

You reached out, gently guiding Matt’s hands to the baby. “Here, let me help you,” you said, your voice calming. “Cradle his head like this…”

Matt carefully followed your instructions, lifting the baby into his arms. The small form felt delicate against his chest, and he could barely believe that he was holding his own child. The baby stirred slightly but stayed asleep, nestled comfortably.

You watched him with a tender gaze. “See? You’re doing great.”

Matt looked down, his eyes welling with tears. “He’s so tiny. I don’t want to do anything wrong.”

You reached out and placed a reassuring hand on his arm. “You’re not alone in this. We’re in this together, and we’ll learn as we go. You’ve already shown so much love and care. That’s what matters most.”

Matt swallowed hard, his emotions overwhelming him. “I just… I want to be the best for him. I want to be a good dad.”

“You already are,” you said, her voice filled with conviction. “And you’ll keep getting better. Just by being here and caring so much, you’re already doing more than enough.”

Matt took a deep breath, feeling a little more confident. He looked down at his baby, marveling at the tiny fingers curled around his hand and the soft, peaceful breathing. “He’s perfect,” Matt whispered.

You leaned in, resting your head against his shoulder. “He is. And he has the best parents he could ever ask for.”

You stayed like that for a while, the room filled with a quiet, contented peace. Matt’s nerves slowly eased as he held his baby, feeling the immense love he had for this little person growing stronger by the second.

“Thank you, baby,” Matt said softly, looking at you. “For everything.”

You smiled, your eyes sparkling with love. “We’re a team, remember? We’re in this together.”

And with that, Matt cradled his newborn son with a newfound confidence, knowing that with you by his side, you would navigate this new chapter of your lives together.
