RENATO LUNA ☆ KYLE TODD
"Okay, hold on, you're going to have to explain this to me again," Ren pinches the bridge of his nose. "You can duplicate yourself...but they're just...like younger versions of yourself?" He still has trouble wrapping his mind around it. "And one of them...brought back another little boy named Chris?" He had more questions than answers at this point. "Can you control your duplicates? Are you able to like...absorb them back? Do you all share the same mind and experiences and memories? Where exactly...did the other boy come from?"

He does figure a comment as crude as his own would return. And when that doesn't happen...Ren isn't entirely sure what to take of it. Instead...it leaves him wondering who, exactly, was his father? What sort of person was he?
Maybe their curiosity of one another was mutual.
Standing outside of the office, Ren's face wrinkles at the thought of settling in on any of those couches. And private rooms? No thank you. From somewhere in his brain, the thought crosses his mind - how possible was it that he was...er...conceived in one of these rooms? The thought makes his stomach queasy. He tries not to dwell on it any further as he climbs a flight of stairs and stands inside a decorated office.
Ren doesn't know where to sit with the leather furniture, and isn't interested in the cigar Seth reaches for, so he remains standing, even if he feels rather awkward doing so. "...Are you positive? That we're related? That you're my...I mean..." He clears his throat. "You don't feel like we need to do a DNA test?" Ren isn't sure if that's what he wants either, unsure of how he would feel regardless of the result. Absently, he tugs a small strand of his hair back. "I don't really know where to start. I never really thought that I'd meet..." Why was it so hard for him to say the word? "...Right now I work as a legal secretary. Which is really just a fancy way of saying that I make appointments for a law firm. I only just got here - right before we all went underground? So everything is still...um...new to me."
Maybe Ren expects his disdainful comment to piss him off, but it's so harmless compared to the other things in Seth's life that it bounces right off, only makes his grin twitch wider. If anything, he's appreciative that there's some kind of mean dog in Ren that might match the one in Seth (if it's fed enough). He's also pleased when Ren follows him out of the security office, at least half-convinced that as soon as Seth let him go he'd bolt for the nearest exit; but then again, if this kid really is his flesh and blood, a significant part of him belongs here at the Lady, walking along the same crooked pathways where Seth does and his father did before them.
"Don't you worry, kid, there are plenty of places to settle in here." He gestures vaguely at the assortment of couches and tables scattered in amongst the clusters of people, then nods towards a lamp-lit corridor that stretches off into darkness back beyond the bar. "And private rooms for the more intimate settling." They get their fair share of looks as they wind through the crowds toward the upstairs offices in the back, no doubt from people familiar with Seth and his tastes wondering why he's leading a young man a third his age into the club's dimly-lit recesses, but they'll just have to keep speculating... the more mysterious Seth appears, the better.
Finally they climb a flight of steps and he pushes open a heavy door, sets a hand on Ren's shoulder to steer him in. It's a large office as flashy and indulgent as Seth's personality, fitted with a full bar and decorated in comfortable leather furniture. One wall displays various toys and questionable implements, but overall the decorum is... tasteful.
"So," Seth starts as he closes them in, approaching the bar to cut himself a cigar. "Tell me about yourself, huh? I mean, here we are, related, and I feel like I barely know you."

RENATO LUNA ☆ DEREK CARSON
"I guess, like, I didn't realize how long solar flares last for. Is this the first time everyone's had to go underground like this? Are routine evacuation drills normal? They should really give pamphlets out to people for times like this, don't you think? What to expect when your old home burned to the ground and your new one might burn along with it." Ren knows he's being annoying, even without looking at Derek's expression. He feels it, bubbling in his gut, along with his other anxieties and fears about being powerless in a powerless situation - perhaps both literally and figuratively. "Sorry. I shouldn't bother you while you're working," But most of the lunch crowd had already filtered out. "So do you...just serve the food down here? Portion it out? Or do you help cook it at all? I think I need to have a word with one of the cooks."

Ren, unfortunately, lacked a thermos or any spare hands. He had a deck of cards tucked into his back pocket but knew no card tricks to keep any of them entertained. "I haven't been in Sol City long enough...but even in my old settlement...no, I haven't." He wishes his mom were there to ask. An ache deepens in his chest, but then the moment passes. "Do you know any card tricks?"
serenity sighed and rolled their eyes at his conclusion, "wherever that maybe... and whenever." they sighed out once more. maybe the man did need just a simple distraction and they hoped soon the group would be on the move. "no, this is a first for me." and this experience was not kind to them. "I have only heard stories... what about you?"

renato luna && kyle todd
Ren decides that he hates Kyle’s job.
Not because he doesn’t make okay money at it. But he hates having to wait outside of that dull building for Kyle’s bright and shining face to greet him. Every time one of the other agents open the door, he sits upright...only to find it’s a stranger that Ren doesn’t recognize or care to learn. He’s sure someone at the front desk must think he’s a stalker because of how frequently he stands outside waiting...but Ren wants to be the first one Kyle sees on his way out of the job.
“Finally. I feel like I’ve been waiting for you forever,” A smile suddenly grows on Ren’s face the moment he lays eyes on his boyfriend. “I wasn’t sure when exactly you finished, so I didn’t call Gabs to come wait for you,” Not like she would wait around for Kyle anyway, “Soo...I can tell her that I need a ride...or we can try and wait for the bus?

Assassin's Creed Syndicate - Sanctity: Lady Serena Hélène Josefina Cotoner-Artois
_________________°°°°°°°_______________________

__________________°°°°°°°______________________
Portrait of Serena Cotoner in 1867. Member of the Cotoner Family of Assassins, Signora di Monteforte Irpino and one of the most talented Swordwoman of her country, some dare say even from her time.
.
Youngest daughter of Carlos Rafael Cotoner y Moncada, Conde de Tortosa and his wife, Aimée Isabelle Henriette Artois. She was the younger sister of the Master Assassin Solange Cotoner and descendent of the Legendary Spanish Mentor Renato Valentino Cotoner.
HELLO EVERYONE!! I'M BACK!!
.
This time around, I came back to show you all a drawing of my OC: Serena! Solange's younger sister and a member of the Spanish Brotherhood of Assassins (although she is not an Assassin herself yet).
Fiancé to Leopoldo di Sanseverino, a descendent of Ezio Auditore da Firenze himself, Serena had Assassins blood on her veins for generations, much like her sister! An active ally to the Spanish Brotherhood, she is a woman of inteligence, charisma, charms and fun.
.
A proper lady that hides a fierce spirit and a call of adventure, she is good-humoured, up-spirited and bright, bringing attention to where she goes, like a gracious swan floating in a lake.
Jacob delights with his sister-in-law, both being the younger sibilings and being prone to chaos lol
.
Despite everything, Serena is a great ally and support, a caring woman that cherishes her Family dearly, adores her fiancé and is her sister's best friend, both supporting each other and each other's quirks despite social pressure. 🦢🩵
.
This art was made for an Art Trade, the part of my friend @gabmik ! She drew Serena and I drew her OC, my part being posted on my Instagram. 🫶🏽
Thank you so, so much dear, for being the first one to bring Serena to life!! She looks more than perfect in your style!! 🥹🩵
.
That's all for today! Hope you guys like it! See you soon 🧜🏽♀️🩵

"Well...I...guess not?" Ren notes. The council must be the ones who decide what is and isn't essential. He makes a note to maybe track one of them down and offer up his opinion on the essential need of libraries. "They probably have a method to their madness..." Even though Ren didn't particularly agree.
Although perhaps he can't even agree with himself. What exactly did he like to do other than books? Reading? Games about reading? Reading about games? "Um...I like playing cards?" He offers.
ezra shrugs. "not my call to make, is it?" truthfully, no. he doesn't think a library is all that essential. but what, cigarettes are? he's willing to admit that everyone's priorities skew their own way... his just, in his opinion, are more fun. "but i'm sure they aren't resting the whole of civilization on luck." or maybe they are. it even sounds exactly like what the people in charge would have done back at his home settlement. "like what, then?" he presses, leaning back against the wall of the tunnel. it's almost like he's forgotten that he's escaping a crime scene, or something. just theft, but still! "i'm sure i could think of something." if not, he could always just put him out of his misery... no, no... he's supposed to be playing nice.

So figuring I'd share a part of a headcannon I have and developed with help from a few others
FULL NAMES FOR ANGR CHARACTERS
● Roberto Renato Reyes
*Renato "Renatus" means Born Again in latin*
● Gabriel Lorenzo Reyes
*taken from Lorenzo Henrie, who portrayed Gabe in A.O.S.*
● Elias Miquel Morrow
*originally taken from Miguel Miranda, the guy Eli is seemingly based on. Miquel started as typo but in Hebrew, Miquel roughly translates to "Who Resembles God?" and with Eli and Robbie being a pseudo-Ghost Rider it fits perfectly*
● Alberto Manuel Reyes
*I forget where Manuel was pulled this from*
● Juliana Pérez Reyes
*Gabriel Luna's mother maiden name*
● Lisa Mouser O'Donnell
*mix of @wazzappp 's idea for her last name and Mouser being pulled from who I faceclaim for her, Mary Mouser*

ABS-CBN: Bayan Muna condemns terrorism charge vs activists
Party-list group Bayan Muna has condemned the filing of anti-terrorism charges against its secretary general, Nathanael Santiago, as well as Anakpawis Campaign Director Servillano Luna, Jr., ASCENT Convenor Rosario Brenda Gonzalez, and Bulacan Ecumenical Forum volunteer Anasusa San Gabriel.
“The use of trumped-up charges, in conjunction with red-tagging, creates a toxic environment that undermines the principles of justice and human rights. We strongly and firmly reject these reprehensible tactics and demand an end to the harassment and persecution of activists and members of the political opposition,” Bayan Muna said.
In the counter-affidavit filed by Santiago before the Nueva Ecija Office of the Provincial Prosecutor, he denied the charges for attempted murder and murder under the Anti-Terrorism Act as well as violation of the Philippine Act on Crimes Against Humanitarian Law, Genocide and other Crimes Against Humanity.
Santiago said at the time of the supposed crime, he was working as Bayan Muna secretary general at the office of the party-list group in Quezon City.
Similarly, in the counter-affidavit of Gonzalez, she said was busy for a book launch during the first three weeks of October, with photos and testimonies attached.
2024 May 3

Activist Renato Reyes Jr. on Twitter @natoreyes:
Four activists have been charged under the draconian Anti Terror Law. They are known activists Nath Santiago, Jun Luna, Brenda Gonzalez and Ansusa San Gabriel. Nath was himself an SC petitioner vs the terror law. Now he is charged under the same provision he questioned at the SC
This marks the first time national leaders or personalities have been charged under the ATL. The complaints were filed by the AFP in Nueva Ecija, They claimed the 4 participated in an armed encounter between the AFP and NPA - a completely blatant lie and a fabrication.
In 2020 we warned that the ATL will be abused by state forces to stifle dissent and suppress progressive organizations. That is exactly what is happening now with the filing of these trumped up “terror” charges in different regions.
Imagine being charged with terrorism, and not knowing you were facing charges because they sent subpoenas to a different address, to another activist already reported missing. Then finding out there’s already a resolution even without the fiscal hearing your side.
[It was only in late Feb that they found out about these cases against them. It was fortunate that they were able to file counter-affidavits in time. The "terror law" is being abused to thwart activists, even the true revolutionaries.]

"I...guess I never really thought about my last name..." Ren admits. It was his mom's name and...he didn't want to think about that right now, not when this cute guy was going to bring him to coffee. "You don't like to share?" Ren decides to focus on instead. "So how do I expect you to share your last name with me then?"
His brow raises with their teasing.
"Kyle Todd." Ren lets the name sit on his tongue. "First name for a last name too? How many names do you go by?" How could he even know, after all, if Kyle Todd was his real name and not...well...Ren wasn't sure. He'd just have to pay attention to the name given to the barista for their order. "Are you a tea or coffee person with your tuna melts?"
"i mean, we could take 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒍𝒂𝒔𝒕 𝒏𝒂𝒎𝒆 if you hate it, but I'm feeling pretty generous. sharing isn't typically my strongest suit so i've been told." ( hence the terrible manners when 𝐒𝐍𝐈𝐏𝐈𝐍𝐆 extra condiments from the cafe- the cute boy would be alloted one ☝🏼 sugar packet, and maybe another ketchup packet if he was really nice. ) they would be ᡣ𐭩soᡣ𐭩 worth it- he tells himself as the heartbeat flutters in his chest. "first name? future. middle name. husband. last name todd." his mouth twitches in a smug smirk.
"or you, know, kyle works if you're planning on introducing me to the family" to which he promises he has table manners, kinda.
truth be told, the tuna melt sounded like a 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐰𝐛𝐚𝐜𝐤 he couldn't shake. "stop. a tuna melt? are you reading my mind already, sugar?"

Barbara Valmorin

He's glad no one seems to particularly care what it is they're betting. Ren never cared about winning monetary goods. Though...it did make him feel good to have a handful of credits from his smarts alone.
"Bet whatever you want then," He nods at the ration card dropped down in the middle of the pile.
"This round is poker," His words are absent. His eyes are focused on his cards, trying to decide whether to fold or raise. "Next round can be...I dunno, whichever other card game you'd like -" He finally looks up. "What's your favorite?"
Diego plops down and the rest of the loose ring of gamblers shifts to accommodate him, allowing him into the circle.
"I honestly don't care what we're betting with," he answers, throwing a ration card into the haphazard pile of items on the table, "as long as I have a chance to win something."
This isn't exactly the major-adrenline-rush-side-quest he'd been jonesing for, but it was absolutely better than nothing. He scoops up the stack of cards the dealer shoves his way and discreetly fans them out, checking the validity of his hand.
"What are we running? Poker?"

In his hands, Ren holds a piece of paper with his own delicate handwriting printed on it. A time and place, and his best attempt at a dragon and knight. "Is there, um, maybe somewhere central I can post this?" He asks. "I figure we'll be down here for a while and...well...at my old home, this was a game we used to sometimes play to pass the time. I thought I'd try it again. If, you know...anyone was interested, that is..."
