𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐭𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐮𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐜𝐤 𝐨𝐮𝐭 at them only makes them stick theirs out in return, a bleh coming from them too. Real mature, the both of them. They blink and tilt their head at the others words though.  ❝  It's okay if you are jealous, I won't be upset.  ❞  They give hands another squeeze, this time more of a reassuring type. The question though, it makes a dreamy look flicker onto their expression and their cheeks grow so rosy.  ❝  Cosmo, vampires are fucking hot.  ❞  They sound shallow there but they don't care, vampires are described as gorgeous beings.  ❝  I'd date other supernatural creatures too y'know  ?  But there's just something about vampires. They're so strong and they have those teeth, I'd happily be a food source to a vampire with my blood by the way.  ❞  They are still beaming but they stop themselves a little short from rambling on about why they'd date a vampire, the other would just have to know there's so many reasons and that's just a few off the top of their head. Actually, there was one more thing.  ❝  But the important thing is that they deserve to be loved too and to not have to hide who and what they are from someone that can accept them, like me.  ❞

They'd started out sounding very shallow but rounded out sounding sweet and wholesome. They were very genuine in everything they said, they meant every single word they'd uttered.  ❝  Nah, I'm too cute to die. You worry too much.  ❞  What does that even mean  ?  Would the vampire be charmed by their cuteness  ?  Would they woo the vampire with their cuteness and that'd be that, instant vampire love interest  ?  They giggle softly.  ❝  It's a good idea. ❞  It's really not.

"bleh."           the  vampire  lets  at  the  mention  of    jealousy    –  there  was  no  way  in  hell  that  he  was  jealous.    concerned,    yes,       but  not  jealous.      cosmo  just  didn't  know  how  to  handle  this  situation  –  especially  since  crushing  lesley's  dreams  was  the  last  thing  he  wanted  to  do.             he  knew  how  vampires  were  –  he  comes  from  a  giant  vampire  family  and  could  list  at  least  three  of  them  as  public  enemies.  "no,  i'm    not    jealous  lesley.    why    do  you  want  to  date  a  vampire  so  badly  again?               i  think  i  need  a  refresher."  cosmo  watched  as  they  beamed  their  smile  up  at  him  and  squeezed  his  hands;       he  wasn't  sure  how  this  would  turn  out.

the  mention  of  the      paper  cut      causes    immediate    deadpan  from  the  vampire.  "you're  joking,  right?  you  do  know...  that  could  turn  out    horribly    wrong?"  there's  a  pause.  "like...    death   ...  wrong?"  if  there's    one    thing  they  were  correct  about  was  the  fact    their  blood  was  tastier    than  the  others  around  them.         though  he  would  be    lying    if  he  hadn't  licked  it  off  his  finger  just  the  other  night  when  they'd  wounded  themselves.       that  was  his  little  secret,  though.

They take a big gulp of their drink, hiccup and then giggle. ❝ Don't worry, it's just sparkling grape juice ! ❞ The way they nearly topple over after saying that really makes that so believable, doesn't it ?

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐜𝐮𝐩 their face are hands that are so very welcomed by them, their gaze sliding up to meet Cosmo's own and watching as his gaze seems to flicker to their lips and back to meet their gaze. Lesley knows what it means, they know Cosmo's little tells so well. Their heart thuds in their chest, their cheeks that the other cups get a rosy hue and become so warm.

They easily meet Cosmo halfway, letting eyes flutter and taking the time to get lost in the kiss that makes their stomach to flip flops. Cosmo's kisses make them fall so hopelessly in love with him all over again each and every time. Cosmo's kisses are like a drug, addictive. They part and Lesley already wants to chase down another kiss with Cosmo but they force themselves not to, not right this second at least. They have the front of Cosmo's shirt bunched up in their fists, not sure when that happened but it happened so they release a bit, the shirt having some wrinkles left behind, whoops.

❝ I love your kisses. ❞ They blurt it without thinking, feeling their entire face go red as they realize what they just admitted to. They want to hide their face now, want to make their thudding heart be a little less wild because at this point they're worried Cosmo might just hear it.

𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐩 𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐞 shop and shiver as the cold air seems to slap them in the face. It was supposed to snow more tonight, there was still snow sticking everywhere and it was supposed to stay cold enough to stick around and snow more for a perfect white Christmas. They turn to face Cosmo, already knowing that he might have worries about them getting home safely in this mess of a weather and it's sweet but it makes their heart thud and clench too tight at the same time. 

❝  I know what you're going to say and no I don't need to be walked home, you need to get home too before it starts snowing again. I won't slip and crack my head open because of ice, I won't get lost and I will text you when I get home to reassure you, sound good  ?  ❞   They knew everything that could come out the others mouth before it even did. They shake their head and smile up at him and move without thinking, getting on their tiptoes so that they can press their lips against Cosmo's own. They realize what they've done only afterwards and they immediately take a step back.

Their cheeks were bright red, their words started tumbling from lips in a much higher pitch ( thanks to embarrassment that flooded their system ).  ❝  I'm sorry, that was just an accident. Just forget that happened. I ⸺ ah  !  ❞  They'd taken another step or two back and found that pesky patch of slippery ice which had them slipping and landing right on their butt on the cold hard ground. Tears spring into their eyes. They've thoroughly embarrassed and now humiliated themselves in front of the other and they had kissed Cosmo when they shouldn't have because they weren't a couple ( because they'd been broken up with by the other forever ago now but they'd realized they still loved him and they were so comfortable around him it just happened ).

Cosmo is so silly sometimes, worrying over literally nothing unlike them who does not worry over a single thing and just goes with the flow. They make it a point to fully turn and face the other, flashing him a reassuring smile and waving their own flashlight around.  ❝  Don't worry, silly Cosmo. We've been to plenty of places and nothing as ever went wrong before  !  ❞  They chirp and reach up, having to get on their tippy toes, to pat Cosmo right on the head.  

❝  Self preservation  ?  What's that  ?  ❞  They're just kidding, they know what that is but they kinda just throw it out the window most of the time because adventure requires it.

Lips twitch up into a smile and fingers immediately find their way into the others dark locks, gently running through the hair, though there is a flicker of gaze to the others pointed ears for a brief second ( they've never noticed how pointed they are ).  ❝  Are you sleepy Cosmo  ?  ❞  They all but coo at the other, smile only growing brighter after uttering the words. Finger gently reaches and pokes at pointed ear before moving back through dark hair, they had to do it just once. Maybe Cosmo was . . . Secretly an elf.  ❝  You can take a nap if you want. I don't mind the fact that my movie choice has made you so bored that you want to sleep.  ❞

They are quiet for a moment, seeming to process the words that Cosmo had said.  ❝  There's no way  !  ❞  Yet, they are going to admit to themselves that they have always had a pretty shitty sense of direction and that a lot of the stuff that they were seeing right now as they looked around very much did look like they'd seen it already. Their shoulders slump and pout settles onto their lips as they look back at Cosmo once more.

❝  Okay, maybe we have been buuuuuuut, maybe if we just go this way instead then it'll all work out  !  ❞  They reach for the others hand, intertwining fingers just so they wont lose grip and get seperated from the other as they pulls him in another direction ( which would likely end up in them leading the other into another circle truly ). It surely didn't help that there was no cell service where they currently were, which meant using phones for navigation purposes surely wasn't happening.

𝐏𝐚𝐥𝐞 𝐛𝐥𝐮𝐞 𝐡𝐮𝐞𝐬 𝐝𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫 to where the other is, doing the very thing that he seemed to be complaining about, at least for the moment he was in anyways. They give the other a beaming smile and picks up a big stack of lights, bringing them right over to drop them right in front of him and then they settle down on the floor across from both Cosmo and the lights he'd dropped.  ❝  Sorry Cosmo but, that sounds exactly like what a grinch would say.  ❞  There's a bubble of laughter that spills from their lips as they start untangling more lights too.

❝  I need these lights specifically. They're red, like blood, yknow  ?  I can't make a vampire themed Christmas lights display without the blood. ❞  They say it so matter of factly as they wave a hand around before they get back to work on untangling the lights ( tongue stuck out in concentration and everything ).

𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 had pressed their forehead against Cosmo's own like this in such a bold move on their part and yet, they were the first to feel shy about it and want to duck their head ( though they did no such thing ). Their pale hues search over the flushed skin that is Cosmo's cheeks, suddenly hyperaware that their own cheeks might be a bit flushed now too but for what they think is a completely different reason ( as they thought Cosmo to have fever and themselves to just be embarrassed ). ❝ You sure ? Your cheeks are lookin' pretty flushed . . . Made me think you had fever with how noticeable it is. ❞ Their words are soft, a hint of worry found in tone.

❝ I know. You've seen me sick so many times but I can't remember the last time I saw you sick. It's a little unfair how good you are about not getting sick. ❞ They didn't know why the other had such good luck about not getting sick or fighting off the sickness but really, it was so unfair ( yet they were happy for the other too because being sick sometimes just sucked ). They seem to finally realize how Cosmo's eyes had flickered down, to their lips. Redness extends over the bridge of their nose now, the tips of their ears even. Heart leaps into throat at the question, tongue peeks out to lick at their suddenly too dry lips before they speak. ❝ Yes. Maybe more than I should. ❞ They admit such a thing oh so quietly.
