⸻ NAME OF MUSE(S):   On here - Seifer Almasy. I also run blogs for Albert Wesker & H.U.N.K from Resident Evil,  Dante Sparda from the Devil may Cry Reboot, and Sora from Kingdom Hearts (and a lot of others that are currently shelved because I have no muse for them)

⸻ EXPERIENCE / HOW LONG (MONTHS / YEARS?):   Altogether about twenty years now. ⸻ PLATFORMS YOU’VE USED:    Back when I started it was forums and Legend of the Green Dragon servers (good times, man), sometimes ye olde chat rooms. I took a break from roleplaying actively for many years and eventually ended up here on tumblr back in 2019, where I picked up Seifer as a muse. That was the first time I started writing and roleplaying in english, too. I also sometimes use Discord, but not much anymore.

⸻ BEST EXPERIENCE:    Some of the people I met during roleplaying, and the stories written together. At a certain point I become emotionally invested, and that’s when the real fun begins, hahah. I love that writing here lets me glimpse how other people view my favorite franchises, how they interprete characters therein and just rubbing our brain-bits together to create amazing stories of all varieties is just something I adore so much.

⸻ RP PET PEEVES / DEALBREAKERS:    Expectations that are hard or impossible for me to live up to, I’d say. Meaning expecting me to be always and constantly available (whether I am online or not), expecting me to be able to reply fast or have muse for all things all the time, etc. My muses can be finnicky, sometimes one snatches my brain cell for months, and I can’t really control this - don’t want to, either. I go where my inspiration flows to offer a good roleplay experience and sometimes that doesn’t match with what my partners might wish to see from me. Additionally I know it’s easy to brush off my fatigue issues with “just get more sleep/eat better/excercise more” and while I agree that these things may help, it’s still something I cannot control and sometimes I will be very exhausted despite really wanting to write, be it something IC or OOC. Also some people do drain my batteries quicker than others, and that, too is nothing personal at all and nothing I can control.

⸻ FLUFF, ANGST OR SMUT:    I like all the same, as long as it’s well balanced. Admittedly, my Seifer used to be a smut fiend, but sadly it also opened the door for people to just want to rp that with me without anything else ever. And while I am an absolute sucker for smut that drives plot, I do also crave other things. Fluff is something most of my muses don’t get often for the sole reason they are... well, not fluff characters. If they ever get enought interactions with one other muse to build up to some possible softness, it will usually be short-lived. It’s why I picked up Sora, honestly, because sometimes mun craves to just be soft and not having to front a harsh muse. As for angst - I live for it. It’s amazing to make your characters go through hell and have them develop through it. The reward at the end is so worth it.

⸻ LONG OR SHORT REPLIES:    Long to medium. I definitely can do crack posts but for something substantial I need some more lines of text. As a general rule of thumb, it’s always a matter of how much you give me to work with in my own reply that matters most, but I am definitely not afraid of long replies - if they go somewhere. Just repeating what I wrote or repeating yourself for the sake of adding paragraphs is something that I don’t like much °^^

⸻ BEST TIME TO WRITE:     God I wish I knew anymore. Lately I try to write something in the morning before work when I have my first two cups of coffee, and often I will be able to write some more in the evening after work (and after napping ahah). But it fluctuates, sadly, so I always have to seize the opportunity when it arrives.

⸻  ARE YOU LIKE YOUR MUSE(S):     Some more than others! I think a little bit of me is in all my muses, and that that’s why I pick them up. As for Seifer... I probably have more in common with him at times than I like to admit, I can be rather spiteful, if provoked into it I definitely can be arrogant and standoffish and I do relate with him struggling throughout his life with never being good enough (or not having the chance to prove that I am, for that matter). Also in some ways I often say I need to channel my inner Seifer more so I can put my foot down better when it comes to establishing boundaries or telling people off on their bullshit. :D

Remember  the  very  first  time  you  were  wounded    &    recall  the  child  who  cried  out    &    screamed  it  was  unfair,  who  knew  that  the  world  should  be  kind    &    just    &    that  it  is  unacceptable  that  it  is  not.  It  hurt  so  badly  then  because  you  were  wronged    &    you  understood  that.  Maybe  others  have  tried  to  convince  you  since  that  what  you  went  through  was  only  natural,  that  you  had  to  accept  this  is  how  things  are,  that  your  trauma  was  just  part  of  growing  up.  Don't  be  fooled.  There's  a  reason  you've  made  it  this  far,  that  you've  persevered  in  spite  of  everything.  It's  because  you're  the  only  one  who  can  start  to  make  things  right.  You  deserved  better  —  the  child  inside  you  has  always  known  that.  That's  why  you  seek  to  escape  into  fantasy,  to  reject  the  harsh  truths  you  don't  feel  strong  enough  to  face.  It's  fine  to  indulge  in  these  respites,  as  they  are  necessary  to  survive,  but  don't  let  them  be  what  you  live  for.

Hang  onto  your  rage,  but  do  not  let  it  make  you  bitter  —  instead,  dedicate  your  life  to  bringing  this  world  a  little  bit  closer  to  the  one  you  deserved.  Give  yourself  the  love    &    kindness  you  were  denied  when  you  needed  it  most,    &    extend  that  gift  to  others.

Do  not  ever  let  yourself  grow  complacent,  becoming  the  kind  of  adult  you  always  hated  who  shrugs  their  shoulders    &    says  "that's  just  the  way  it  is."  It  doesn't  have  to  be.  So,  be  the  kind  of  adult  you  wished  you  had,  the  one  who  would  have  gently  wrapped  you  in  their  arms    &    protected  you  from  harm.  Use  your  intimate  understanding  of  injustice  to  live  in  opposition  of  it  and  start  to  heal  yourself  along  with  the  world's  brokenness.  Make  recovery  what  redeems  every  moment  of  misery    &    don't  waste  another  minute  of  your  life  regretting  that  it  hasn't  been  a  happier  one.  Your  existence  is  not  worth  less  because  of  its  struggles  or  suffering.  You  deserve  to  be  saved.  Don't  let  yourself  be  the  one  who  denies  you  that.

⸻ BIGGEST FEAR: Failure. It is a recurring theme for him ever since he was a child and it haunts him like a curse, never relenting. Failure to him has many shapes and forms, starting with failing a mission, brushing over the slim chance of failing people (as he keeps them at a distance, to him it is no likely threat, but still), and goes all the way up to his time serving under Niflheim.

⸻ RECURRING NIGHTMARE: Yellow-golden eyes, Matrons face melting away and becoming distorted, thoughts that are not his own, whispers in his ear and a mind that slips, being webbed with false promises and twisted words. Long claws covering his eyes, stealing his sight. When they slip away, there is blood… so much blood… Bodies of innocents piling, cities burning, the constant thrum of metal clad feet. Screams and explosions, women and children crying. And he in the midst of it, face bar of any emotion, neither joy nor pain, just an empty shell to fulfill the dark wishes of a cruel creature pulling threads from afar.

⸻ SOMETHING YOU MISS: If anything, the relative light-heartedness of a younger self. There had been days at the orphanage when he was surrounded by friends, even if their time was cut short when one by one they got adopted. But the innocence, the laughter, the absence of brutality he now sees almost everyday surely is something he would consider missing.

⸻ BIGGEST REGRET: Too many to count. Failing to resist the pull of that powerful entity coaxing him into the arms of the empire. Failing to break through the haze of manipulative powers twisting him and molding him into someone else. Everything he did in those two years serving under General Glauca, leading one of his units. The blood on his hands.

⸻ A SECRET: Seifer is the biological child of Verstael and a woman of unknown origin, which is why he has been sent to the orphanage right after his birth. There might be a connection as to why he was targeted to be manipulated and made to spearhead Glauca’s unit, the very one invading Galahd. He carries that knowledge with him, knowing that his orders orphaned many children, tore families apart and that he, now a Kingsglaive, sees the outcome of his deeds everyday before his very eyes. It might be the reason he doesn’t bond much with his comrades, and prefers to keep them at a distance with provocations that sometimes even turn to violence he often simply takes instead of standing up for himself. A punishment well deserved.

SEA

You’re drowning. A sea of emotions, responsibilities, people, things, everything. You just can’t handle it all, you need to escape, but you can’t. Even talking to someone and being told it’s okay, compliments, nice things people say, it all adds up to drown you further. Guilt, for feeling this way when everyone’s being nice and you’re not enough. Will you sink or swim?

You need a way to vent. You start to drown when you internalize everything and it eventually becomes too much to bear. Paint an image that represents your feelings, dance your heart out, write down everything that’s bothering you and on your mind and then burn/rip up the paper, talk to someone, have a good cry in the shower and just acknowledge everything you’re feeling. Get it out somehow, and you’ll feel better. And find a way to consistently get it out, don’t let it build up to your breaking point before you do anything about it.

whether it’s your turbulent nature, your flash quick mind, or the air of unknown about you, your undercurrent is the lightning rod. you are somewhat unpredictable, but if we unravelled we’d see you know exactly what you’re doing, but it’s makes you feel less vulnerable to pretend it wasn’t planned. some people stay back from you, but others would follow you cross country, for the very same reason. they don’t know enough about you. the difference is in who wants to learn more. keep your golden nature, it’s exciting, but don’t be afraid to admit what you know. matshona dhliwayo said “lightning strikes but does not roar” your bite will always be worse than your bark, keep that close to your chest.

it's commitment, it's devotion, it goes often without saying, but is felt nonetheless. it's accepting that you would travel to hell and back for them if they asked and knowing that they would do the same for you. it's an old ache, long after they've burrowed deep into your chest and settled there like a weight- grounding, an anchor point. even when you're apart, you can still feel the shape of them, it's like phantom pain. neither of you can help but succumb to the other's gravity, yet neither of you fear the collision. it means that you trust them, that they make you feel safe, that they feel like home.​​​​​​​
