     “ If you see a werewolf out there, can you tell him to go away? It’s bad for business. ” Blonde head peeks out the front door, scanning left, then right, before pulling back in again. She does a once over of the person who came in and eyes widen in surprise! “ Oh! I’m Lyric, by the way, and this is my bakery! Please stay and have something, I promise it’s all good! ”

            “ Come in, come in! Hopefully I enticed you to get some              breakfast. If not, you’re free to look around while I get              some things to set up for the day. ”

         “ You know, Nicole, you really should stop by the bakery more often. ” Like every day. That would be nice, wouldn’t it? Lyric trails away from her spot at the counter to loop her arm around her friend’s, just like old times, other hand raising with a signature button cookie to pop it into Nicole’s mouth. “ I’m working on recipes again --- you should help me come up with more stuff for the holidays! ”

       “ Welcome back, Mr. Sanji, it’s good to see you again! ” Lyric turns from her spot in front of an oven to show off a grand gesture of pumpkin spice cakes, easily sliding them into a cooling rack. She pulls the oven mitts off her hands to head to the counter. “ Come in, come in!! I’m so glad to see you! ”

       Oh! Lyric’s used to her regulars, but whenever someone new comes into her bakery, sometimes she loses her train of thought. “ W-welcome! ” she chides from the counter, immediately heading over to her tray of samples. Eyes trail from each of her usual customers, offering them a shy smile. Wow ... he’s tall. Hands lifted the platter closer, smile growing a little wider. “ Care to try something, or have you mind on something in particular? ”

            “ Oh, you’re welcome to come inside, I just opened                everything up so I’m a little drowsy. I’ll have coffee                brewed in a minute, if you like! ”

      “ My birthday was two weeks ago and I completely missed it. ”

               “ Everyone needs a hug from time to time. ” Arms spread briefly, all before she retracts one to lift a hand to her lips. “ Well ... perhaps not all the time, it must be weird to get hugs from strangers. How about some chocolate? That’s a scientific hug to the senses! ”

          “ Someone stole the cookies I baked! ” Hand holding an egg beater whipped in the other’s direction, perhaps accusatory. “ It was Professor Plum in the Library with the Candlestick! ” Quoting some of her favorite board games wasn’t going to help her catch the culprit, but it did help mood a bit. “ Who do you think it was? ”

     " Pumpkin is so hard to work with . Between picking out the right one and gutting it , it's like I need to be a bodybuilder or something just to handle it ! " There had to be a point to this somewhere ... Lyric usually wasn't one to complain about anything . " I will admit though ... Between pumpkin pastries and pumpkin pie , it totally makes it worth it in the end. "

         “ You have fairies around you ! hey --- that might mean that you’re a baker ! or ... a cook or something ! Fairies always love to hang around people who know how to make good food , like me ! ” Lyric offered the man a small smile , head canting to the side . Almost immediately an idea seemed to pop into her head . “ Right ! I run a bakery near here , it’s new so I’m trying to promote it . Here’s a sample and a card ! ” And with this sample came a small shortbread cookie decorated like a werewolf and a small card with the name FANTASY BAKING in a curlicue font on the front .

         “ Well ... I had me a boy --- turned him into a man . I showed him all the things he didn’t understand ... and then I let him go . ”

           “ Come in , come in ! Don’t be shy , I won’t bite ! Feel free to take a look at all the things in the display shelves . I only have desserts ready , but if you’ll willing to wait a bit , I do also make pot pies and things of the more savory variety for lunches and dinner ! ”

           “ You’re really pretty --- I bet you make elves jealous . ” Part of Lyric wonders where she knows him ( she’s seen his face before ... but where ... ) either way , the woman stares with a lack of finesse , all before turning her body , showing that she was holding a large platter . “ Would you like a cookie ? The little vampires are strawberry jam filled butter cookies and the werewolves are just plain shortbread . ”
