𝓏ealousness was a quality that, most of the time, would not come to you unless you were in a very high spirit, all due to your cautious and shy nature. besides, would it not be unbecoming for a mortal such as yourself, to derive so much excitement over a deity you were not supposed to serve?

…. well, alright, one could say that technically, you were - though not exactly directly.

no, you were lady guizhong’s closest confidant despite being a mortal. so much so that people would sometimes refer to you as her priest/ess. it was an unofficial title that normally you would have prided yourself in, but right now, it was the very source of your dilemma.

but could anyone really blame yourself? surely any mortals would get at least a little bit excited when the apple of their eye’s birthday was right around the corner? shouldn’t one appreciate such occasions even more now, as the archon war was escalating? you could die tomorrow, so you might as well live to the fullest today, assuming it would be your last, right?

“uhm… m-my lord?“ you inwardly cursed the very lips that uttered the embarrassing stammer, but you braved yourself to look up at him, and immediately you were lost in those pools of amber eyes.

somehow, you could always spot something in his eyes - an abstract emotion you couldn’t describe nor comprehend, ever since the first time he laid his sight on you. perhaps it was an unfathomable emotion only gods could feel, just like how they would act outside mortals’ rationality; just like the very first time he met you and gifted you smooth and shiny pebbles with the prettiest patterns, along with other minerals that glittered and shimmered just like the cor lapis lining his back.

you heard the soft call of your name, and you realized you had been caught staring. ogling. at the close companion of the very god you were serving.

oh celestia swallow me whole.

“ah! oh- my- my sincere apologies, how could i dare- please forgive this foolish mortal’s ill manners!” you apologized profusely, body bent in a deep bow, frazzled mind half contemplating to grovel onto the ground to hide your burning face.

“please, there is no need to be so apologetic when you’ve done no offense,” he said, and though you could not hear it from his voice, had you looked up that very moment, you would have seen the slightest pink dusting his cheeks. “ahem… what is it that you require? is everything alright? if anything is inconveniencing you, i will make sure they’re taken care of.”

“your dedication to the people and your duties are as admirable as ever, my lord… we’re all always thankful of your tireless work in maintaining the people amidst these tumultuous times.”

“oh,” the benign expression slipped a little from his face, giving way to a brighter blush and a wider smile. his chest puffed like a proud sandhill crane, the deity cleared his throat, “of course. it’s my duty, after all. but your apt observation and kind words are appreciated.”

“… and… well… if this mortal may be excused for yet another impertinent action…,” you inhaled deeply before presenting the box you had been clutching to your chest towards the wide-eyed deity, “w-will you please accept this humble offering?”

“….. for… me?” the cluelessness in his voice was far too endearing, it tugged your heartstrings almost painfully. the gold of his fingers pulsing as he slowly reached out to grasp the box as if it was the most fragile glass that could shatter with the slightest push.

“yes- well- this time, unlike the previous years, you couldn’t have any banquets, so i thought- uhm- you know- i just…. wanted to wish you a happy birthday….”

his fingers, despite glowing with the power of geo, shook slightly as he unlocked the latch of the box with the most care you had ever seen someone muster to open such a simple contraption. you then heard his breath hitch at the sight of a golden hair clip, perfectly matching the pattern of his outfit, sitting on top of a velvet cushion.

“….,” your lord was silent for far too long, and you decided if celestia did not answer your call, you would instead dive headfirst into your blankets back home to wallow in shame.

“then!!! i must uh- prepare some tea for madam guizhong! so if you’ll excuse me-”

“thank you.”

“— i- huh…… y-yes?”

“thank you for your thoughtfulness."

“…... oh… but of course… you’re welcome… my lord…”

the warrior god- no… your protector god was as good-hearted as he was good-looking, there was no doubt about that. anyone could look at him and they would've felt their hearts flutter when they saw his magnificent form. but there was no mistaking the giddy and smitten feeling flooding your chest as he directed such a genuine, joyful smile to you.

for writing: every 1 word = ¢1, every 100 words = $1

for texts: a bundle of five texts = $2

1. dm me on tumblr (please don't be a blank blog and have an age somewhere.) we will talk about your request and i will decide if i will take it.

𝐓𝐚𝐫𝐨𝐭 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐌𝐞𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 𝑀𝑎𝑗𝑜𝑟 𝐴𝑟𝑐𝑎𝑛𝑎

So, I’ve done a post about why I add a character’s moral alignment, so I thought I would do it for the Tarot cards. Maybe you’ve noticed it or not (it is something I’ve only started doing). 

Because there are 4 suits; Cups (Water), Wands (Fire), Swords (Air) & Pentacles (Earth). I decided this first post will be about the Major Arcana, to break up the Tarot - so it’s easier to digest, rather than have everything thrown at you.

Okay, so the Major Arcana is about a person going through different stages in their life. Starting off with The Fool - who is a curious innocent who wants to experience the world, to the end, ‘The World,’ meaning you’ve accomplished what was set before you.

Each zodiac sign has their own tarot card that represents them. Here’s a free website that tells you. I’ll provide the sun signs equivalent to their tarot card. Although you have your own personal one!

I’ll make another post on how to read tarot cards, because there’s a lot that goes into it. But with the Major Arcana, their messages are much clearer (inn my experience) then the Minor Arcana (the suits; cups, wands, swords, pentacles). 

Also, when I read tarot, I include when a card comes out upside down. You don’t have to do this if you don’t want to. Do what feels right, it may seem silly or overstated, but your intuition is a superpower. Feel it in your gut. Listen to yourself. 

These cards will represent the deeper, more life-impacting matters. The Major arcana deal with the major moments in our lives.

This is a card of rebirth. It signifies new opportunities. Telling us that it’s never too late to start fresh and follow your heart’s desire.

Keywords: Beginnings, Risks.

Planet: Uranus

Upright: New beginnings, adventure ahead, innocence, a thirst for life, enthusiasm. Someone who lights up a room. Taking that leap of faith, starting something new, optimism, openness to the unknown, a free spirit. 

Reversed: Recklessness, risk, naievity, holding yourself back, stupidity, negligence. 

Yes/No: Yes (although usually when a card is in reversed, it means the opposite. Again, you don’t have to take into account when the card is upside down. It’s completely fine to read them as if they were upright)

𝐀/𝐍: hey hey hey remember that time i said i would write friendstory college!au like 4 years ago??? :^) anyway i drew inspiration heavily from mihile's storyline when deciding what each of the chief knights would major in and their backgrounds, with some details we know from the friendstory spin-off. i'm hoping to make this 10 or so chapters long, and there will be multiple romantic endings as well as a non romantic ending!!

☾. 𝐜𝐲𝐠𝐧𝐮𝐬 — the heiress to one of seoul's largest enterprises, shinsoo corp. majoring in international business to prepare for her birthright position at her family's company, cygnus has all the qualities of a great business woman. don't let her dreamy expression or airy personality fool you — she's as sharp and strategic as the best in the field.

☾. 𝐧𝐞𝐢𝐧𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐭 — an academic prodigy hailing from a small, rural town. he's secured himself as cygnus's right hand, and pursues a degree in accounting to develop a wide skillset that will be useful to cygnus when she takes over shinsoo corp. rather shrewd.

☾. 𝐦𝐢𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐞 — he's by no means a natural at anything, but his strong sense of justice, tenacity, and work ethic makes him excel in the field he's passionate for— criminal justice. he does administrative work at the local police department for part-time work, determined to have his own detective office one day.

☾. 𝐞𝐜𝐤𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐭 — he has the intellect and physical ability to pursue anything he wants, but for a boy who was maliciously orphaned at a young age by the gross negligence of the company his parents worked for, and without reparations from an unfair legal system, a law degree seemed like the only option. cygnus jokes that eckhart can take out all of her competition when he becomes a prosecutor. at least, he's pretty sure that she's joking.

☾. 𝐡𝐚𝐰𝐤𝐞𝐲𝐞 — an upper class runaway from busan; his family owns a successful international trading firm. cygnus, recognizing him as the heir to one of her family's business partners, bent the rules to let him attend shinsoo high without his proper credentials, but he rekindled contact with his family in time to apply for college. although surprisingly observant with a great memory, his work ethic for subjects that didn't interest him wasn't going to win any scholarships. his affinity for various sports won him a full ride, and luckily so, since he refused to rely on his family's money. he majors in oceanography and hopes to dedicate his life to advocating for the ocean and it's inhabitants.

☾. 𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐚 — irena is the first of her family to attend college, originally growing up in a humble village on the country side. honoring her family's appreciation for nature, she studies environmental science and hopes to make an impact by working to nurture a cohabitual relationship between nature and humans.

☾. 𝐨𝐳 — oz comes from a long lineage of doctoral graduates in the stem field. she's content to continue the tradition, although her goal includes her peculiar penchant for food— majoring in chemistry and becoming a food chemist. her parents were a little puzzled at first, but it's a scientific career path that pays well, so they're supportive all the way nevertheless.

☾. irena is passionately supportive of oz's goals, and encourages her to explore healthy and eco-conscious methods to apply to her studies.

☾. after running away and ending up at seoul, cygnus allowed hawkeye to live in an unused office at shinsoo high school for a week or two until oz invited him to stay with her family. with a family of seven, one extra addition was barely noticeable. oz's family sends letters and gifts addressed to both of them when college starts.

☾. despite arguing like brothers most of the time, mihile and eckhart will hang out to watch crime related documentaries together and analyze the procedures.

☾. mihile, eckhart, hawkeye and irena will play super smash bros on the "family" nintendo switch. oz, irena, neinheart and cygnus play animal crossing: horizons together, but neinheart insists that he be in charge of terraforming. neinheart also believes that tom nook is extorting them by overcharging for renovation services, knowing they can't refuse since nook is the only person in the area who can offer such a service.

☾. cygnus and neinheart will spend a few hours in the evening once a week to review the household's budget and discuss any maintenance needed or items to buy.

☾. cygnus and irena maintain the house's intricate garden with a lush and tastefully overgrown aesthetic in mind. hawkeye doesn't know much about keeping plants, but he's eager to offer a helping hand to the girls.

☾. mihile is a clean freak. everyone will individually see him donning an apron, rubber gloves, and a strip of white fabric keeping his hair out of his face while wiping down an already sparkly clean surface at least five times a day.

☾. does eckhart ever sleep? if you leave your room in the early a.m. hours, there's a high probability that eckhart is quietly moving about or tapping away at his laptop on the kitchen island. neinheart will also make an ungodly amount of trips to make tea late at night. they stare at each other briefly with an air of respect each time.

Hello! I just wanted to say thank you to all who have read this little oneshot comic I put out! For context this is a part of an audition for a comic tournament im trying to join in twitter called Splinter City OCT! 𝟏 𝟎.  ( INSPIRATION FOR MUSE ) ——  Obviously the base of the manga and anime is where I pull from but I also pull from the video games and the light novels. I pull from every form of FMA I can. But I also pull from real life because I like him to feel human more than anything else so I don’t want him to just be the shiny good hearted hero that everyone adores. I want him to have serious flaws like fear manifesting in rage, or the complete constant of him swearing like a sailor. I want him to have a dialect not just speech. I want his speech to reflect hard against his brother’s so it shows how informal it is. Edward is human before anything else and as such he’s got some grey spots and some black spots and some spots he hasn’t even figured out yet himself.

I didn’t think of anything fancy.  Edward is an alchemic genius - a prodigy of Alchemy in both the study of it and practice of it - it’s a seriously entwined into the core of his character so Alchemic, (written as a adjective to describe him) and then his last name, Elric.  So Alchemic-Elric.   It’s nothing fancy or witty like the cool kids.
