twewy / neo twewy verse facts for plotting purposes:

aillah works with social media and primarily makes content related to makeup and fashion.

shiku is a student attending university while prepping to take over his father’s business line.

shiku and aillah actually pass at different moments - but this is due to an incident that was intended to take out their father ( multiple attempts ) and instead, they fell as victims. 

aillah, who wants to make her mother proud more than anything, who tries to live life by the lessons she’s taught her, the person she cherishes most; is the payment for her to play the game when they come to during the game.

shiku, who is only carrying on his father’s will is to look after aillah and their younger siblings. aillah is the one he’s most closest to, wanting her to be able to be free and live life the way she wishes, aillah is shiku’s entry fee for the game.

aillah, similar to rhyme, has no recollection of shiku upon meeting him post death, the two still team up and become partners as the game progresses.

aillah’s favorite foods are anything sweets related. her top choice would more than likely be something with strawberries in it. but vanilla-chocolate swirl ice cream also is the quickest way to her heart ( and ability perks! ) likewise, her least favorite things are things that are too sour.

shiku is more into bitter or savory tasting things, coffee is one example of something he’ll more than likely go for. food-wise, he likes curry. 

shiku relies on his portable computer as his psyche, with it he can send shocks of electricity out against his target with a chance to stun them.

aillah’s fan is hers and it permits her to create a wind-like barrier which shields her partner and comrades, though it only lasts for a short period of time and you cannot move once you’re inside of it.

shiku’s not entirely a fan of scanning and is certainly not fond of imprinting, aillah typically is the one who takes care of that whenever the situation calls for it. 

aillah thrives off of top o' topo and gatto nero, shiku’s brands are Il Cavallo Del Re and monocrow for more casual wear. based off of OG TWEWY brands, it would be sheep heavenly or natural puppy for aillah and jupiter of the monkey or pegasus for shiku ( this punk ).

The Composer finds his intrigue growing upon the discovery that his proxy seems to be looking at something. The twitch against his lips while expression shifts and he moves behind him, leaning in and purposely making a slightly louder sound.

The way he jumps similar to a cat makes him snicker, looking him over when he gestures for him to quiet up then points out to the scene he'd been trying to spy on.

" And what exactly are you hoping to get out of this intel gathering quest you've so clearly set yourself upon? "

He does look over, as if to observe the scene in his own way; watches over the reapers while they speak, a squint in his own expression. But he wouldn't dare spoil Neku's fun so soon. Admittedly, he's rather curious if his piece in the bigger game of things can connect the dots and figure out the next path to take. He's clearly not whispering.

The way he laughs or the way he says some math term that she fails to connect the dots to is met with the roll of her eyes and her turning with her heels to prep and take her leave.

When did he mention what he was about to do next? When did she find herself snatched up by his hand that she swears her blood is being stolen by his sharp claws against her wrist. Before she even has the chance to say anything, she’s met with a rough kiss stealing away her ability to speak. It’s aggressive, it’s rough. It’s enough to snatch air from her lungs.

Who the hell said he could kiss her? Why the hell isn’t she putting a stop to it? Instead, she finds herself caving, finds herself pressing further and deepening the kiss in return.

Their expression is all shades of concern when their brother moves in, breathing heavy from the running he often seems to do now. Rhyme's almost curious if the nightmares are starting to get to him again, the way she can feel his emotions radiate when he brings up this apparent Neku who had to be the source - but her mind can't place a visual or any form of recollection as to who this person might have been.

She blinks, sudden confusion when the name is mentioned. " Who's Neku? " They find themselves asking moments after which results in the bomb starting to go off and leads them to take a cautious step forward in trying to figure how they can best comfort their older sibling in this moment. This was clearly someone important to Beat, Rhyme can at least gather that much.

Their memories are still fractured, still trying to place together puzzle pieces and figure everything out the games took from them. Beat and her brother are the same person after all and dealing with the aftermath of people having forgotten Beat, of being the only one to remember him, and now the same thing had been happening for him? Her head almost starts to hurt the moment they process it.

" I....I don't know who Neku is. "

How could that game make so much impact after everything and still seem to keep throwing punches? Instead of focusing on her thoughts, she settles back to Beat. Hearing him out and nods when she reaches in and places hold to one of his hands in an attempt to give a reassuring grasp. " How can I help? "

Just because she couldn't remember, doesn't mean she didn't believe what he was telling her. It simply....complicated things.

Beat's hands have been balled into fists at his sides since Udagawa in the hopes of masking the violent shakes he's had the entire way. It's easier when he's running. Moving around doesn't change anything, it won't bring Neku back—too slow, he's always too damn slow—but it feels better to move. Staying still makes him feel useless, helpless, and it's only made worse by @hackereaped's blank expression. They look at him like he's speaking another language and it makes his throat tighten and voice rise with panic.

It reminds him of the first game. It reminds him of when they didn't recognize him.

❝ Rhyme, don't fuck wit' me, dat ain't funny, yo. I was jus' wit'im. The Game—me 'n' Phones got pulled back in an'�� ❞ The Game in the fake Shibuya with the fake Rhyme who fake died in front of him again. Maybe what happened to Neku—maybe that had been fake, too? Beat had scoured every inch of the backstreet after he... after everyone vanished and found nothing, so maybe... No. It had felt too real and the gunshots are still ringing in his ears. He doesn't think he was dreaming, either. Beat wouldn't say he's used to the nightmares—not yet, anyway—but he's pretty sure he can tell the difference between being awake and being asleep. It happened. It happened and Neku is gone and he was too fucking slow to save him, to save anyone, yet again.

          Silence. It’s all he’s ever craved and here he finds himself surrounded by exactly that. Despite such solace being what would have been a former dream come true to a life once lived, it’s echoes of what shoved him here in the first place which keeps ringing through his mind. Hands shove deep into his pockets while he walks the abandoned streets and only the lost song of phantom memories sing out, he cannot touch them or help despite how close they felt  ━━━━━━━ how close they seemed.

This is no longer his dream. Neku made friends. Neku wasn’t supposed to be here. Another round, another city to save  (  which failed  ); he’s trapped. How is he supposed to get himself out of this one and return to the rest?

I can feel you slippin’ through my hands....

━━━━━━━ Beat.

He’s looking around, he feels him, knows he’s with him despite being in complete solitude. The voice gets him again, can’t he see him at least once more? Something to prove there’s still a fighting chance! “ Damn it! “ curses, fists slide out of pockets and slam hard against concrete, it’s the closest thing to feeling he has left.

Even that’s fading away slowly. . .

He responds, eyes shut and slowly easing down. It’s such a tease. To know that he can feel him, like some sick joke. Alone. Perhaps this is the price he’s meant to pay for the sake of them being able to live in Shibuya? He wanted to grip his head, nothing made sense!

Neku chokes. The tears started. Solitude is his prison in the lonely city. He can hear them again. Same streets. Another day. How much longer will he be able to hold on himself?

VERSE : TWEWY 

gaara is born to a sickly karura & she passes during the childbirth . for this , he’s resented by most in his family aside from his siblings , kankuro & temari . his father gives his uncle permissions to do away with him & he succeeds , thus putting gaara in the ug to play the reaper’s game . after succeeding in the game & coming out on top , he becomes a reaper , not wanting to go back to the rg as he felt he was always unfairly treated , bullied , & mocked . he maintains a pretty feral personality , still thriving in the death of others by his power . he watches over neku , curious , as they start off kind of similar . in passing , neku saves gaara’s life several times , but the way neku proceeds to make friends and form bonds makes gaara jealous over the week & eventually , he tries to kill neku . 

come neo timeline , he’s realized that perhaps he can form bonds as he watched neku do , despite having a history of hating and being hated . he still works as a reaper , but instead of attempting to murder (and getting scolded/stopped repeatedly by the other reapers) he decides to underhandedly help the players . his personality becomes somewhat more composed and awkward as he tries to figure out how to navigate his own path and form any type of bond with other people . he misses his siblings in the rg often and often wishes them the best from the ug .
