dressed in his finest suit, the grinning general offered his hand to @warrued. "my lady, may i have this dance?" the champagne kicked it. he felt giddy and pleased with the way the wedding turned out. "thank you for helping with the set up , connie. i couldn't have done it without you." he smiled at his friend. the medic was a great comfort during these changing times. "have i told you that you look lovely tonight?"

"it's too dangerous" cardinal cautioned @lmperiums. he might not have trained the recruits in the tie forces but when he looked at the young pilot he saw a face like his own trainees, risking their lives for the cause. cardinal did not take his rank for granted. it was his job to maximize victory and minimize casualty. "we'll send a squadron out when there is visibility. 'till then your grounded here with the troops. might as well make yourself at home."

every night she filled his dreams and transported him to a world without war and sorrow. it was nearly five months since he last saw her. the sun in her hair drew a halo that would make an angel jealous. kaydel was the sun in his universe, dopheld thought to himself. she was the reason he carried on when the going got tough. she gave him the courage to change his place in this. her smile was worth the the pain he felt in his heart each time he landed on coruscant to stay with his childhood friend. that was a thought he had to banish for now. he had work to do. if he wanted to see kaydel again in a few days, he had to do it carefully.

flawless military composure was the only reason phasma had not done a double take when the chancellor instructed her to obey the supreme leader's commands during this quest. the lack of 'what if scenarios', backup commands, or loopholes for the supreme leader's strategy was troubling to say the least. it wasn't that phasma dislike ren. personally, she found him more tolerable than the bureaucratic egoists her new position forced her to tolerate. but she was not sure of ren's motives in the grand scheme of things. "air and ground troops are on standby, supreme leader." phasma stood still as stone. she towered over the man at her side in lieu of his substantial height. "they are prepared to strike at your command." the grand marshall inclined her head at her superior. "if a forceful negotiation is your wish." underneath the cover of her helm, she studied him. "you seem different." she dared to remark.

"new republic, old republic, it's all the same." the knight nursed an half empty glass of whisky in his gloved hand. not a fan of crowded places, he stood away from the crowd. there were a million places he would rather be than a pollical hoax masqueraded as a wedding. but this was a new addition to the job. not one he signed up for. at the moment @debelltio's company is a welcomed escape. "did they improve the health care system? i doubt it."

"please stay close by, miss chloe," phasma warned the assistant cordially. she stayed close but not too close. she knew her presence was intimidating to most. "this area is not secure." the grand marshal stood stone still. she head inclined her head toward the petite figure. "the chancellor grew up in the rim. he visits places like these to promote change. places the government has forgotten for too long." her helmeted head turned slowly toward the glum ruins of an old city. "do not fear. i will keep you safe."

"are you saying the great kylo ren is afraid if his mother?" the chrome helm concealed her amusement. phasma does not give her prisoners liberties. however, this juicy gossip condoned an exception. she could keep a close eye on the solo girl and entertain herself. "did she scar him for life by taking away his favorite stuffed tooka?"

“ can i tell you a secret? ”  it was a conscious effort to turn of stealth mode and make it known that he is approaching. he doesn’t want to frighten the lady. tanyn’d be lying if he said he doesn’t pity her. unlike him, who’d jumped at the opportunity to leave home when the first signs of his force sensitivity started showing, he reckoned she had less of a choice. life aboard a star destroyer was a hard adjustment for on-worlders from lush, thriving planets ...  “ there are eleven gardens on the ship. ”  the princess might not see he smile but his voice was telling.  “ they’re for produce and herbs. nothing spectacular but they’re a change of scenery from durasteel and bright lights. i could take you there if you want.”

“ what the hell was that ?! ”  tanyn stopped in his tracks. his vision chased the shadowy form that disappeared into a bramble of dying foliage. this planet had a sinister aura that made his blood run cold. he glared at rownei through the adaptive optics of his helmet. the night vision switched to filter the blanket of darkness. “ this artifact better be worth trudging through this hell hole.”  tanyn all but groaned. the knights fists close tighter around his electroblades.  “ i'm not sacrificing myself to some primordial entity to dig up vader's left boot or some shit like that. ”

 “ that  guy  is  your  brother ? ” it  nearly  blew  the  ex-captain’s  mind.  it  seemed  bizarre  that  a  good  kid  like  jaina  could  be  related  to  the  infamous  kylo  ren.  there  was  a  weight  on  archex  chest  that  he  couldn’t  shake  when  he  thought  of  the  pain  this  girl  must've  been  through.  he  shot  her  a  sad  little  smile.  “ can’t  say  my  brother  is  any  better.  think  they  might  of  been  friends  to  tell  you  the  truth.  can’t  say  if  it  lasted.  my brother  wasn’t  very  good  at  keeping  friends. ”
