Originally, I was going to suggest to you, ages ago, the same sort of plot we have for the prequels but set during the lead up to Into Darkness... but since we're doing that: how about Margot as a historian who is part of a coalition of international historians attempting to preserve and protect historical artifacts during the Eugenics Wars? That could put her in the path of/give her (or her as part of a group) reason to contact Khan...

That's a really interesting idea. Her status would certainly persuade him to allow her into his "kingdom", though he's also a giant nerd and cares about history as well, even if it would be icky-gross-lesser human design. There'd be a lot of him needing to personally oversee everything she's doing though, because paranoia is running rampant and his most trusted are tasked with doing other things-- like trying to keep humans and rival augments away. :')

Bonus points if they've grown to care about one another by the time he and his followers are exiled and find the Botany Bay?

Everything hurts.

Like a supernova, a burst of light-like-pain in every nerve and synapse and atom. A bomb going off in the center of him, agony radiating like fallout. The kolto doesn't help, but it's something. It's enough that consciousness found him again, it's almost bearable. The groan that leaves his throat says otherwise, the curses don't support any argument aside from, "This is luck?"

It isn't bitter. It never is.

He chuckles instead.

    "I've had visions since I was a child," Saufa says after a moment, craning his head to look in the direction of her aura. A terrible coincidence that the most recent future-dream caught him off guard enough to cause the speeder to crash. How these things ought to be timed, on a schedule, is a belief he's held for ages now. So what if it'd been enough to save the two of them, so what if the Force granted him another favor to add to a never-ending list?

    "I don't know if I’m able to feel lucky anymore," unsure of how to say what he says without sounding unmindful. A difficult feat when the galaxy itself deigns to tear his body asunder without touching it at all. "But it's not always luck. Sometimes it's more than that, sometimes it's less."

And sometimes he can't even fathom it; a species-wide attunement to a singing ghost makes him forget on occasion. As if it hadn't always been a part of him, woven into his DNA; as if he’d be anything without it. “The Force is all around us, Margot. It’s in you, too. If you knew how I see you, if you could see...”

Saufa trails off, physically shaking the rambling thoughts from his mouth and from his head. Smiles in that lopsided way, “Sorry, need more kolto. I’ll try to remember from now on.”

as this character has become more solidified over time , you'll find that in canon interactions i'll often allude to other missions & plotlines that he is involved in. all of these stories are interactions with people he's met over time , below are all characters that are considered canon interactions on hucklberry's timeline ( relationships may have been slightly adjusted for default purposes ) relatively placed in the order that they have met him. these are all amazing writers , but more than that they are creative storytellers , and i highly recommend interacting with all of them.

Johnny Estrada - OC set in an alternate version of the Civil War, wherein in the midst of it, eldritch monstrosities dubbed "Angels" come from the sky, but, uh, I could put him in other verses lol.
