The request took the mortal by surprise. Her eyes searched the angel’s own for an unspoken answer of his plan once she let her hand slipped into his grasp. The wait for such an answer did not keep her hesitating to obey for very long. Kelly came to decide on her own that an answer was not needed right now and he would explain his actions soon enough. Her angelic protector always did. 

She let her fingertips brush against his before entwining her hand with Gabe’s, the warmth against her palm almost instantly giving her a comfort. “ Now what? ” She asked him in return the curiosity further taking over in her mind.

A small shriek left the woman’s lips when Gabriel swept her off her feet so quickly and so sure of himself. It wasn’t as if she was not expecting it to happen when he walked over to her but how quickly it happened and with such ease. Her arms were tightly wrapped around his neck as he walked her back to the bedroom. Kelly was positive the angel was becoming rather annoyed with her now that she determined she was perfectly fine to walk around the house and take care of small chores here and there though she was getting closer to the end of her pregnancy. 

“ If you give me another speech needing all the bed rest I can get, I don’t know what I’ll do just yet, but I’ll do something! ” Kelly eyed something on the nightstand, the corners of her lips turned up into a smile. “ I’ll hide your bag of gummy bears. ”

        “ Hi, Jack. ”

         A short response, spoken breathlessly as emotion was quick to take over as Kelly wrapped her arms tightly around her son. There was a further squeeze of her arms just to feel the warmth of him, to know he was alive and well. All she ever wanted was right there in front of her. Her son. Kelly was overcome with so much joy tears began to fall silently down her cheeks. There was a notion of not letting go but she could not just sit there embracing her son forever. 

         The young mother leaned back taking in the face of her son, not what she had expected--correction--much older than she had expected but he was definitely Jack. His eyes, though they held just as emotion that her’s did at this moment, they were so bright and beautiful. Kelly went through every feature of him; his nose, his ears, his cheekbones, his mouth. Jack was perfect. Her son was perfect and just being able to finally see him standing right there in front of her, she was full of so much love. “ Look at you... ”

         Kelly took a deep inhale as her eyes hovered over the body slowly losing the last of it’s life. She tried to remain calm, she had seen a woman--demon vanish into flames with just a touch from Castiel and angels be murdered right before her eyes by that same demon. So the accidental murder of this man by her son should not have shaken her so much. However, she was stuck there not able to let the intake of breath be expelled from her body.

         She would keep telling herself that this power her son could be for good but then flashes of the warnings of Lucifer would come to her mind and she worried for Jack, worried of where he would turn to find comfort in the path to control his power.

        “ I know...we can’t stay here though. We should go--now, Jack. ”

         “ If you’re Jack that means I was gone for--- ” The bizarre situation that Kelly found herself in was actually not that shocking considering all she had been through when she was pregnant with her son. However, there was always a joy from watching a child grow up an become who they are supposed to be from what she knew from others talking about being a parent. You get to teach them and love them through the years. Now, since she had been in Heaven but for some reason Kelly was now back on Earth, she really never did get those years with him. She never got to be a good mother like she wanted. And if it was true, Jack didn’t even get to live the life of a child and live without a care.
