imagine draken planning an entire day-long date for the two of you. it would start off with you waking up in his arms, your back against his chest and his arms wrapped around you. from the way he's softly snoring into your hair, you assume he's still asleep but he stors shortly after when you place your hands on top of his own and lock your fingers in between his. he'd whisper a soft 'good morning' and place a soft kiss on your cheek and stay cuddling w you like that for the next few minutes.

then bc he wants the day to be productive, he'd climb out of bed and let you rest while he makes breakfast for the both of you, but obviously not before he plants dozens of soft kisses all over your face. breakfast is something nice and simple but tastes just as good as something from a fancy cafe bc if there's anything your bf can do, it's being better than the best.

when you tell him you want to spend the day chilling and not doing anything too exhilerating, he'd take you to the nearest park where you'd walk hand in hand and talk about everything going on in your lives. then he'd pull you into an ice cream parlour and you'd get a cup with your favourite flavours to share. he'd sneak kisses every now and then because the ice cream on your lips makes you taste sweeter than ever.

the day would end with the two of you having a nice picnic in the same park but in a more secluded area. he would order your favourite dishes from your favourite restaurant and the two of you would spend the rest of the night cuddling and feeding each other food with a nice warm blanket wrapped around the both of you. even though he doesn't say the words 'i love you' as much, this is how he would show how in love with you he is and you can't deny that having him show you like this is a lot better than hearing him say it instead.

you’ve never really minded the fact that you weren’t the standard “ideal” type of girl that everyone seemed to want you to be; you were fine with yourself just the way you were. sure, there were always going to be those people throwing backhanded remarks at you and telling you that you should try to slim down your figure, but you never really saw the need to, and instead used it as your motivation to get stronger, just to prove them wrong.

of course, becoming a stronger and buffer person only meant more of these comments, but who were you to care about some random person’s opinion? the people close to you never seemed to care about the way you looked, so you never saw it as something to worry about.

“(y/n)-chan, we’ll see you later, alright? make sure to wear those clothes we got earlier; they looked super cool on you! they totally fit you perfectly!”

“emma-chan’s right! they looked super cool on you! you looked like a super awesome fighter!” the sparkles in hina’s eyes as she thought back to the clothing you had tried on made you laugh a bit, and you started laughing even more when she started punching the air like there was an invisible punching bag.

“you could go like pow pow! and you can move around in them easily; it’ll be good for your training, i’m sure of it!” a small ping! noise from emma’s phone interrupted hina, and emma sighed in annoyance once she checked the message.

“mikey says that if we’re not there in five minutes he’s taking takemichi with him. we better hurry up before your man gets kidnapped, hina,”

“ah! sorry (y/n)-chan! see you later!”

“bye hina-chan, emma-chan! thank you for inviting me today!” they both nodded at you before taking off; you hoped that they got there in time before mikey kidnapped takemichi. you probably would’ve gone with them if not for the fact that draken had told you to meet him at the park because he wanted to take you out on a date.

sitting down on a nearby bench, you sighed as you placed your shopping bags to the side, glad to be off your feet after walking around the mall all-day.

you’d been a bit hesitant on going out to the mall with emma and hina, but you were glad that you went in the end. the three of you had a really fun time and talked about the annoying habits of takemichi, mikey and draken, and they even helped you get some new clothes since you’ve been needing some as of late.

opening up your phone, you noticed that the picture the three of you had taken was still on the screen. you all had been in the food court, and emma had suggested that you all take a photo together to save for the future. looking at the photo though, you frowned as you started to notice all the differences between you and them. since when were your shoulders so wide? should you have worn a bit more makeup? their hair was so nicely done...should you have tried more?

at the sudden thoughts running through your head, you frowned a bit. it wasn’t really like you to be thinking like this, but as soon as the first thought pranced through your mind, more and more started flooding in and you didn’t know how to stop it.

should i stop exercising?

“(y/n)!”

“huh?” snapping your head up at the sudden voice, you were surprised to be met with the familiar face of your boyfriend, who was looking a bit concerned as he got your attention, although there was more shock once you looked up at him.

“oh, sorry about that-”

“why’re you crying?”

“what?” at his sudden question, you blinked a bit, and you were a bit surprised at your blurry vision. you hadn’t even noticed that you’d been crying; it wasn’t really like you to be like this. to be thinking about how you compare to other girls, and how your boyfriend sees you.

noticing the tears droplets on your phone screen, you hurriedly smudged them away and went to go close the top of it, but before you could, draken had taken your phone from you, wondering if somebody had texted you something that made you cry.

instead, he saw the picture that you, emma, and hina had taken at the mall, but only for a second since you snatched it away afterwards, closing it and laughing awkwardly.

“really, it was nothing, don’t even worry about it!” he stared at you for a moment, his eyebrows furrowed, still not completely convinced about your previous statement.

“you know that i like you the way you are, right?” the sudden words from draken’s mouth weren’t what you were expecting at all. it took a moment to process what he had said, and you just stared at him while he looked at you with a stern look on his face.

“i don’t care if you don’t look like emma or hina because i like how you are now, so don’t go thinking something stupid like that.”

the sincerity in his words threw you off a bit; nobody had ever really told you something like that.

it felt really nice though...

after a few moments of silence, you just smiled at him and wiped off the rest of the tears from your face before standing up.

“thank you, ken.” he merely clicked his tongue at you, wrapping his arm around your shoulders as he started to lead you off to where he had planned on taking you.

“if i ever catch you thinking about stupid shit like that again, i’ll ignore you for an entire week,”

“are you serious right now??”

“...yes.”
