Update 🦵 I had my left leg checked out. It started with a big puffy protrusion on the outside of my left knee, with acute searing pain. I couldn't put any pressure on it, or sleep on my left side, and it hurt to walk. No known cause, I just woke up with it one day a month or so ago. 🤷‍♀️

A week or so later I noticed a dark area on the outside of my left calf below it, that got bigger and darker and slightly raised - and stayed.

I had it checked out by an orthopedic doc, x-ray to make sure it wasn't injured or torn, ultrasound & exam.

He didn't seem concerned. No injury, just inflammation in my knee & hematoma on my leg. 👀

He said keep wearing compression socks, keeping it elevated, and keep doing the cold therapy (I submerge in a super cold creek, or ice packs at home). 🧊

He also suggested I go on prednisone daily for all the random longcovid inflammation & symptoms, but y'all ... me on steroids: 😱🤪😅

No thanks 🤚 lol. I got a steroid shot, but didn't notice any relief or difference. 🤷‍♀️

A few days later the hematoma on my calf turned red and puffy, and hot to the touch. 😳 It's hard to see the dark area on my calf, it just looks like a large bruise - now also reddish.

That sorta concerned me, but it was a relief to rule out injury, DVT, blood clot, etc - so I'm just keeping an eye on it.

This week add on migraines + acute stabbing lower abdominal pain with low grade fever. I was all set to make a trip to ER for that one, but it seems to have subsided into just a soreness for now - intestinal inflammation I'm guessing.

Who knows. 🤷‍♀️

That's on top of Dysautonomia & all my usual symptoms: brain fog, muscle fatigue, tremors, heat intolerance, temperature dysregulation, joint pain, yada yada yada.

➡️ Long Covid, 19 months...

This roller coaster of nonstop bizarre symptoms with longcovid is exhausting. 🎢 It always seems serious, but they never find anything wrong, other than a constant inflammatory & histamine response controlling my body. 🤦‍♀️

Me: eat healthy, AIP & elimination diet, taking an antihistamine combo, cold therapy, accupuncture, find things I *can* do, PACING and keeping a good happy mindset! ❤️
