[A]ccident: Would they blame themselves if you died in an accident?

Yes, he’d most likely blame himself if you died in a accident.

He'll think of what he could’ve done to save you, he would constantly think of ways that he could have saved you but just failed to do so.

Sylus will be completely messed up and have a hard time coping with your death, he would go down a really dark path of depression  and self destruction.

Not tears, no words, no smoke or alcohol. But he’ll be ruined.

"So... it feels like this, kitten, huh?... it's how it feels when you lose your beloved one." His face looks indifferent, staring at your picture.

"Sorry... I've made you feel like this last time. It seems it's my turn now."

[B]reak up: How would they break up with you?

Sylus is reluctant and absolutely hates to break up with you, he doesn’t want to end the relationship, he hates the thought of it.

"Where the hell you're going without me, miss hunter?"

He absolutely feels guilty when breaking up with you, like it physically pains him to do it.

But he'll do it if he found out being with you means he'll hurt you more.

[C]rying: How would they make you cry?

Sylus will probably argue with you from time to time and that might result in you crying, he might be a bit too sarcastic or say something he doesn’t mean but ends up hurting you. (he’ll feel really guilty when you’re crying because of him.)

[D]eath: How would they react to your death?

He’d probably be in denial in the beginning, he absolutely refuses to believe that you’re dead, thinking that you would somehow come back like a miracle.

"It's my turn to curse you, right? Then you'll back to me?"

once it fully kicks in that you’re gone and there’s no way for you to come back, he’d probably sink into an absolutely devastating depression and lose all motivation to do anything.

"Don't worry, I'll wait for you. You know how patient I am."

Sylus usually tries to hide any kind of vulnerability, like the fact that he’s sad, in emotional pain, or anything like that.

he’ll always try to act tough and indifferent to everything, like the fact that he’s affected by anything?

anyone that sees him would think that he’s emotionless, a monster, scary and cold.

Like all couples do, you'll fight too. From small bickering to bigger fights.

the fights could be about anything, little things like being jealously over someone, to bigger things, like you not liking his cruel behavior.

He mostly feels guilty when he thinks you’re in danger because of him. And the fact that he can’t protect you from everything and that he’s the one that’s potentially putting your life in danger because of his work.

Sylus hates it if he found out you were lying about something or if you weren’t being honest with him.

He'll not show it but will be absolutely terrified at the sight of you being badly injured.

He tries to keep his cool and not show how scared and worried he is when he sees you covered in blood.

He'll try to help you and get you patched up and get you checked out right away, he’d do anything to make sure you’re treated right and taken care of.

"Did you really think you have 9 lives just because I call you 'kitten'?" *hugging you tightly as he checks the wound on your arm.*

Sylus is not a teenager, and won't getting annoyed because ridiculous things, but when someone really dares to flirt with you...

Sylus gets pissed. And when he gets pissed, that person will die that night like they were never born.

Sylus will definitely kill someone if it meant taking revenge for you, especially if they harm you somehow.

he doesn’t really care about anything or anyone else when you’re in danger, he only wants to protect you and will do anything to make sure your safety is prioritized.

Yes, he’d probably have few limits when it comes to harming other people for you and to protect you.

One thing Sylus most definitely wouldn’t want to lose is you, he’d probably be absolutely devastated and wouldn’t know what to do if something ever happened to you.

he’d also consider his own sanity and his self control one of the most important things he doesn’t want to lose, because he knows that he might actually go insane without you.

(he’d also be incredibly unhappy if he suddenly lost his position or any of his connections, it’d probably feel crippling to lose any power that he holds.)

[M]istake: What is the worst mistake they ever made with you?

The biggest mistake he made with you was not telling you about his feelings sooner, he knows that he just make you confused by not telling you how he feels.

Sylus does have nightmares from time to time, especially about failing you in some way or not being able to protect you.

He'll get up in the middle of the night in a cold sweat and will try his best not to wake you up in case you’re asleep.

He won't pant or scream, just sat up in bed... clutches his chest because he feels that his heart might explode at any moment.

After watching your peaceful sleepy face, he finally calm himself down as he hugs you tighter.

"You can't run away, kitten. Not as long as this heart of mine in beating."

Sylus doesn’t really get mad at you a lot, he definitely prefers being affectionate and playful with you.

the only time he’d get mad at you is when you do something really reckless or dangerous that could end up putting you in harm.

he might also become annoyed if he thinks that you’re trying to do things alone and refusing to let him help you, he doesn’t really like it.

You’ve seen the worst side of him in the very first meeting, so you'll not see anything more worse than that.

However, sometimes fear comes back to you. When he reaches his hand towards you and you tremble, taking a step back.

And he'll be annoyed and ashamed because the behaviors he showd to you.

Sylus can get pretty toxic or overly possessive during heated arguments, especially when he feels like you’re slipping away from him or losing your feelings for him

(Don't get me wrong, he doesn't suffer from a lack of self-confidence, he simply can't stand you walking away from him. He knows that he will never let you go away anyway, but sometimes he just can't hide his anger and fear.)

Sylus might say stuff that he does’t really mean, things that he’ll end up regretting and apologizing for later.

"What do you mean, kitten?" if you rejected his confession, he’d be caught off guard and probably would just freeze for a couple of seconds.

But he’d probably try to act indifferent and shrug it off, he’d try to look like he doesn’t care and he’s not upset.

"It's fine, kitten."

On the inside, he’d be feeling a mixture of pain and sadness, trying to process the fact that you rejected his confession.

He hides all these feelings behind a mask of indifference. While he asks Mephisto to stalk you.

When he does lash out at you, he definitely feels bad about it after, he’ll probably want to apologize right away or at least try to explain that he didn’t really mean what he said.

after he’s calmed down, he’ll probably try to talk to you again and try to resolve whatever disagreement you have or whatever the argument is about.

Sylus hates feeling vulnerable or weak, he always wants to appear strong and untouchable. he tries to avoid any kind of situation which might make him appear weak, he never lets anyone to see any of his emotional side unless it’s you.

he tries to always be in control of any kind of situation and be as strong as possible, being seen as weak is probably his biggest trigger and he’d do anything to avoid it.

He hates when people try to get in his business or ask too many question about him and his work, he can’t stand it when other people poke around in his personal life.

One thing he really wants is to be able to be completely open and vulnerable with you, to let you see the weaker, emotional side of him.

He wants to be able to actually talk about his feelings and how much he loves and cares for you, without having to hide under a mask of indifference.

He’d probably be completely broken, the person who’s normally so cool and calculated just completely breaks down if you’re dying in front of him.

His eyes would probably go wide in pure shock, like he can’t believe it’s really happening. he’d immediately start trying to treat your wounds or at least slow down your death, desperate to keep you alive.

He wouldn’t really be thinking straight, his mind would probably be going a thousand miles an hour as he’s desperately trying to understand what’s happening and what he could do to save you.

Sylus probably be absolutely heartbroken, the reality of you being dying in front of him slowly sinking in while he just hopelessly holds you in his arms.

when you wake up, you realise you're in an unfamiliar room - if it can even be called one, due to its ridiculously tiny size, and unappealing state.

it's clear from the empty bottles of bleach that someone tried to tidy up, but something dark red stains the walls, leaving a coppery tinge to the stifling air.

"oh, you're awake!" the man to your left - who, you realise instantly, is your blind date from last night - grins.

its an off putting sight, the sheer happiness on his face, and the way you can see the bright gleam in his brown eyes even behind those glasses, and beyond the overgrown bangs.

"i, er, i was watching you sleep. sorry, old habits die hard, y'know? and you just look so fucking beautiful, with that birth mark and those—"

"ahhhh, sorry."

he catches his breath and apologises again, "i'm rambling again, aren't i? i tend to do that when it comes to you. only time i talk, really."

he's sitting cross legged besides your mattress with his hands in his lap. when he notices you staring, he awkwardly averts his gaze for a moment, wipes his sweaty hands on his jeans and leaves them with dark patches staining the fabric. "well, uh, did you sleep well, darling? i know an old mattress in the basement isn't ideal but—"

you try to speak, to tell him that yeah, accommodation wasn’t exactly ideal - but the words come out muffled.

"ah, i'm so sorry, my love!" he exclaims, the few pale patches on his own, darker skin, flushing a soft pink shade as he rubs the back of his neck sheepishly, "you can't really say anything, can you? sorry, again. i didn't think you'd agree to go out with me. had to ditch the plan and — oh, i'm rambling again, aren't i?"

"please tell me if i talk too much, i don't want to annoy you. i mean, i know you're not a morning person, but it's, like, four in the morning - isn't that funny?" when you make no indication of having found his words humorous, he wordlessly reaches over for the sock that's currently been stuffed into your mouth, flashes you another apologetic smile, and takes it out.

you instantly double over and spit the flavour - the strange, stifling taste of the sock out of your mouth.

your captor makes no move to undo the rope that binds your arms and legs behind your back, before he leans back, settling into his position besides you again, an expectant expression on his face. you don’t ask him to, yet, choosing only to examine him from head to toe.

he looks good. seems to have changed from the clothes he was wearing last night, during your blind date. you know he did his research beforehand, know he must be desperate to please, because everything he’s done - from the clothes he put on, to how he smells, and the accessories he dons, is all catered to your exact preferences. it’s hard not to find the effort endearing.

and then you remember where you are.

a moment of silence passes by before he clears his throat, the awkward sound echoing in the dingy basement. "morning, my darling. before you panic, i absolutely—"

"okay," you interrupt him, patience running thin, "first of all, why was that sock crusty, and second of all, what the fuck is going on right now?"

he doesn't seem put off by the venom in your tone, instead continuing with his words as if you hadn't spoken in the first place. "i'm glad you asked, darling. well, to put it simply, i, er, kidnapped you," he says with a bashful smile, pushing his glasses up with a shaking finger. "i absolutely adore you, and have for a long goddamn time - so i wanna keep you with me forever. like a tamagotchi!"

"you wanna keep me... forever in your basement?" your lip curls in disgust. "you can't be serious! have you seen the state of this place?"

"well, no." he falters for a moment before speaking, "i was going to explain how this all works. i mean, you won't be in the basement forever forever. it's just temporary, until i trust that—”

"oh, so you don't want to keep me forever?” your emotion leads you to hastily jump to a false conclusion, “please tell me i’m not going to be thrown away, once you’ve had your fill. you love me, right?”

"wait, sorry, um," he shakes his head, confusion evident on his features by means of his furrowed eyebrows, the clear trepidation in his tone. "do you... well, how do i say this?" he mumbles to himself, closes his eyes. opens them a moment later. "do you, like, want to stay here - with me? i thought you'd—"

"in this economy?" you scoff, " staying with you means i don't have to pay rent, and get free meals and free entertainment." you shoot him a glare, "there is entertainment, right?"

he blinks, "er, yeah. i have a whole bookshelf for you upstairs with all your favourite novels on it. there's also the media cabinet, full of your favourite films, director's cut and extended cuts and special editions and..." the man trails off, lost in a daze of his own thoughts. "are you - sorry, are you serious, darling?" he asks, that smile of his faltering. "you really want to stay? you realise i will ruin your social and professional lives and monopolise your whole existence, right?"

"yeah, like i said, that's fine by me," you shrug, "now could you be a dear and untie these ropes, please? i didn’t ask earlier but they're really hurting me."

"um, can you give me a moment?"

Only partially formed thoughts because my brain has been liquid lately so I will probably revisit this more in-depth later, but

R.oci probably doesn't like / feel particularly comfortable being called R.oci

Other nicknames or shortenings of his name are fine, his whole name is fine albeit old and clumsy, this one in particular probably hurts a little bit because the people that gave it to him either died in a traumatic manner ( parents ) or used it in a possessive / infantilising way when he either wanted something or wanted to wound the heart rather than the body ( D.offy ).

He'll never say anything if people choose to call him that, though people that get good at reading his body language or micro-expressions might be able to pick up on the uneasiness or discomfort. This also isn't me saying not to call him that - on the contrary, please help him take that part of himself back and associate it with good things again.
