speaking of what are your thoughts/hc on why narcissa didn't take the dark mark despite her sister and her husband doing it? tbh i always wondered how she could've avoided it? i mean she was part of it right, she was in the meetings too

I always thought it made sense that Draco was a difficult pregnancy.

I say that because Lucius and Narcissa seem like the sort of couple who would have loved more children. Narcissa was close with her sisters before things fell apart, and Lucius was an only child... but he's so social I think that must have been lonely for him. I think he would have loved it if Draco had a younger brother or sister. And the only barrier they'd be dealing with there would be a medical one, so.

(also, I love whenever the the Malfoys and the Weasleys are foils, and the idea of Draco and Ron being born at pretty much the same time - but Ron is one of many, a little neglected, mom is a little disappointed he's not a girl etc. while DRACO is so wanted and so special. That's good stuff.)

I also think that if the Malfoys were dealing with fertility issues, Narcissa suffering, maybe even having a miscarriage - that would have made early-twenties Lucius grow up REAL fast. Because yeah, I do think that when Draco was born - about a year before Voldemort's downfall - Lucius' priorities shifted completely, and he started looking for a way out.

And I say that because Lucius rode the wave of the first war really well, coming out with his money and prestige so intact, which would have taken some planning. Lucius is also one of very few Death Eaters who actually got off using the 'imperius curse' defense. (I think the only other one is Avery.) I like the idea that he did actually plan that. Like - okay. You could have someone you trust (Narcissa, maybe Severus) put the imperius curse on you for a couple months, and that way when you're asked "Were you directed to follow Voldemort's orders under the imperius curse," you can say yes, even if you're under Veritaserum.

(Nott senior also seems to have also come out of the first war basically unscathed, but he also seems much more cautious than Lucius. I'll bet he was very good at making sure that there was never much actual evidence against him. Crabbe and Goyle senior also seem to be doing fine, and I tend to think it's because Lucius got them out (possibly because their wives were close with Narcissa? All three women would have been pregnant at the same time.) Vincent Crabbe and Gregory Goyle are *quite* committed to keeping Draco Malfoy in one piece. I love Draco, but he does spend several books being a little shit with no ability to defend himself, so they do have their work cut out for them.

I also think a Narcissa who spent the first Voldemort war dealing with pregnancy-related health issues could explain why she doesn't have a Dark Mark, when honestly she really should. Her husband, sister, brother-in-law, underage cousin... they're all getting them. So why was Narcissa skipped (but still allowed to remain in good standing?) I think she she stayed out of the spotlight, using her delicate health as an excuse. And then the second war comes around and she... fades to the background again, makes herself useful, and hopes that the issue never comes up. I don't think she'd say no to a confundus, or even a memory charm if she were really put on the spot.

(but the real, Doylist reason Narcissa doesn't have a Dark Mark is because JKR has a very strong aversion to writing villainous mothers. See: the very odd framing of Merope Gaunt.)

My masterlist

Taking care of a three year old while being 5 months pregnant is not an easy task and while y/n had been down playing it as no hard work to everyone asking her ,it was bad. With a popstar husband busy writing the album of the year he seems to have neglected his family and was yet to realise it.

Although y/n was working from home she missed dressing up and going out and enjoying the weather or having her favourite ice cream in the park. But the most she missed was her husband who was working late yet again he couldn't join them for dinner. Their little baby daughter asking for her father before her bedtime for a kiss but how could y/n explain to a three year old that he was working, he was so busy to take some time to spend with his family.

It made her think back to the time when they decided to have a kid and Harry promised to always be there for them but now y/n was worried. Sure he always came back but she needed him here. She needed him when her morning sickness left her tired, she needed him to help her around the house and most of all she needed him to take care of Avery and her even for just a minute.

Her swollen ankles and the bump making it hard for her to do things in their house but Harry had no idea as he climbs into bed at 4 in the morning apologizing for waking her up and by the time y/n wakes up to prepare Avery's breakfast and lunch he was already long gone.

Y/n doesn't even remember the last time they had an actual conversation face to face. He sends texts every now and then to check up on them but that was it.

Y/n was in the shower, she swore off baths since she couldn't get up on her own and had a wave of mood swings had hit her so she had called crying to Harry to come help her up. It was a fond memory now they laugh about. She hears the bathroom door open sending her in high alert as to who it could be. No one has the key or the passcode to the front door except Harry but he was at the studio so who could it be?

She silently peeks through the shower curtain to find Harry with an apologetic look on his face. "Hey, what are you doing here?" Y/n asks suddenly very aware of the fact she was naked with how Harry was eating her with his eyes. The water droplets and pregnancy glow was making Harry crazy enough he was half hard but he gulps it down stammering as he speaks "wow, you are glowing baby." He says eyes running all over her body. And y/n blushes because truth was with how busy he was they hadn't had sex in weeks and Harry loved to love on her when she was pregnant knowing she has some doubts about her body changing. "I just ......I didn't know, I'm sorry. We were just there to celebrate and she just -" Harry stops mid sentence at the confused look on y/n's face as she wraps herself in a towel.

"H, what are you talking about?" She asks getting out of the shower with harry helping and walks towards their closet grabbing a pair of underwear and Harry's shirt as she takes a seat on the bed.

He looks guilty as he murmurs something trying to get away from this situation but he perks up when he sees her questioning look"Kendall...." Was all he had to say for y/n to realise he had messed up big time.

Kendall was obsessed with Harry and she was Harry's last ex-girlfriend before he found his soulmate. Y/n had nothing against her untill Kendall decided to ruin their life by constantly showing up on their dates making both of them uncomfortable. Kendall even turned her whole mass of fans against y/n when she found out they were engaged. She had been trying to sabotage their relationship from the start and against all odds y/n and Harry were truly happy and tried to deal with the situations calmly. But y/n was human too she was jealous when some other woman's hands lingered a bit long for her liking or the eyes on him as he works out or goes out for a walk but she never complained about it and accepted that this was who he was. The was a celebrity and people were always going to be curious about him and his life which she was a huge part of.

But to know he was out partying all night celebrating a song they completed with Kendall of all people broke her poor tired heart. She sits in silence as Harry looks distressed waiting for her response. Y/n never raised her voice. Even with Avery she was firm but her voice never raised so he was a bit taken aback when he hears her "How long are you going to keep doing this Harry?" She had asked anger evident in her tone.

Harry had told everything that happened how Kendall was stuck beside him all night and got really drunk enough to try to kiss him which he thankfully dodged but the pictures on the internet looks like they were kissing but Harry promised y/n that didn't happen.

"Why do you keep letting her mess up our lives? How long do I have to act like it doesn't faze me? I know you wouldn't cheat but I don't trust her. We had this conversation years ago H and you keep doing this again and again it's so hard for me to believe she just keeps coming back after so many rejections from you." With doubt in her voice y/n avoids his eyes, hers filled with tears.

"no baby, I would never do anything to intentionally hurt you. Kendall is nothing to me. You know I try to avoid her as much as possible" he says firmly making his point but that wasn't the biggest problem.

"It's not just that...." Y/n had been wanting to talk to him about his distance but with how unavailable he was they hadn't had a proper conversation in days.

"What is it?" Harry asks with worry.

"I get it, I really do. I get that people expect from you. I know you are working hard to provide for us but you are getting too involved to even spend time with us Harry. It feels like you don't care about us anymore. Of every person who expects from you, as your family don't we have the right to just expect you to be here for us?" Y/n questions her eyes meeting his stunned ones as he swallows the new information.

His heart beating rapidly as y/n doesn't wait for his reply as she walks out of their shared bedroom.

Harry stands still in his spot, seconds pass....minutes pass as y/n's words keep echoing in his mind and he sees it . How he had been neglecting his family. Harry is left with guilt as he thinks about how he hadn't been present at all to help y/n. He didn't even know her cravings or how the last ultrasound was. He didn't know if their baby was healthy and it teared him apart.

He falls on his knees as realisation hits him, he was going to lose the love of life. His glossy eyes decipher his little baby running towards him with a stuffie tucked under her arm as she hugs him tight. "missed you daddy" Avery sweetly says nuzzling her face into her father's neck as Harry hugs her tight scared he might lose her soon.

It was right then harry decides to honour his vows. Like he should have before. He vowed to always always be there for her and promised that y/n and their future family will always be his first and foremost important priority.

The next few days he stays home and takes care of Avery and helps y/n around the house. But she still wasn't convinced and wasn't talking to him. When he tucks Avery after reading her a bed time story he finds his wife cuddling under the blankets with a romcom playing on the tv.

He sits beside her and pulls her closer and y/n immediately relaxes beside him nuzzling further into his warm chest. Harry cradles her bump as he says "I'm sorry baby, I really am. I'm sorry i didn't realise it sooner. I'm going to be here from now on. You guys means the world to me and you are everything i need."

"It's okay bub, I'm glad you are here now that's all that matters" y/n says lightly kissing his jaw.

Harry cranes his neck and finally attaches his lips with hers. Their lips move in sync as harry pulls y/n onto his lap his hands roaming around her body settling on her bump.

"I love you" harry says eyes meeting hers and y/n whispers the words back and reattaches their lips.

Y/n was glad harry came back. He kept his words and promises and started working less hours, cooked breakfast for them, dropped Avery at her preschool , took care of y/n and they finally felt like a family again.

Thoughts that I wanted to share about the brothers Hawthorne/ the grandest game bc I don’t wanna make a million posts about each one 💀

1: Phone girls dad literally shot himself ON. HER. BIRTHDAY. 😭😭

2: Skye Hawthorne MIGHT be in the grandest game, because when Avery got bombed and Ricky and skye got arrested for it, they found out that it actually wasn’t them which means they prob got out of jail (maybe not Ricky but probably skye) and she might be controlling one of the players

3: WE’LL PROBABLY GET TO SEE A SUNSHINE X GRUMPY TROPE!! (Mathias and Gigi)

4: we’ll see which 7 contestants avery will pick for the game!! (While I was writing that instead of contestants I accidentally put tributes 💀)

He says “what’s the opposite of a handshake?” And I found a picture online that shows multiple different options of what could be the opposite of a handshake

Basically most of the words on there kind of show “misinterpretation” or just different words for some sort of mistake, so would that mean that the “beef” (im just gonna call it that bc I don’t rlly know what went down) between tobias and thomas thomas was maybe accidental?? Or maybe they got into a disagreement that ended in thomas ending his life? All the book really shows is that one paragraph (that I highlighted in green) that talks about what Jameson thought of the riddle, and then Jameson was talking to Avery about the game (probs bc jlb didn’t wanna drop too many hints lmao) And then if you add it in with the “abet” theory ⬇️

It said that one of the opposites of a handshake were “refusal” and “disagreement”, so what if tobias had wanted thomas to aid one of his crimes and thomas refused, and maybe tobias gave him an ultimatum which is why he shot himself?? It’s so confusing bc what would tobias even do that was so horrible that thomas had to shoot himself, I really don’t know. but if anyone has some theory’s on this pls lmk! 🫶

8: holy guacamole 7 was a long one, but anyway i feel like there are definitely more hints on the grandest game in the brothers Hawthorne then there were in the final gambit, even though in (i think tig is the one that clue was from?) the inheritance games “special” edition bc idk what their called it said “hints in the final gambit”. (although one loose end from tig was David Golding, and @riddles-n-games had a good theory about that) But i read the final gambit entirely and didn’t find a single clue other than David, so that’s kinda weird (unless somebody else found something else they found interesting in that book?)

9: Eve might also be behind one of the players, or just trying to get involved with the game so she could get the cash prize or whatever else it is that that psycho needs 🙄

~ he's sooo clingy but like not in an annoying way, he kinda just always wants to hold avery's hand and stuff

~ he's the kind of person who would get super tan and the sun (grayson would get FRIED)

Bachelorette party

in which you and Harry meet at your friend's Bachelorette party sleepover...

[Warning- Tooth rooting fluff, wedding, alcohol and cringe tbh I was feeling lonely]

Everyone was ready, clad in their matching silky pajamas. It was very uncommon to celebrate a Bachelorette party as a sleepover but everyone who knew Fiona knew that it wasn't.

Fiona was our bride-to-be marrying her long-term girlfriend Jade. Even though both of them had polar opposite personalities considering Jade was out getting drunk at a bar with their friends and Fiona insisted on staying home and having a sleepover they worked together well. Like they say opposite attracts.

You were in the kitchen making popcorn for movie nights while the rest of the girls, Avery, Emily and Sophie along with our bride-to-be were sitting in the living room fighting over which movie to watch.

The doorbell rang which confused you cause all of your friends were there. You heard chattering along with laughs and then a deep voice. A man was standing in Fiona's living room with his back to you, with curly hair, broad shoulders, a narrow waist, and tall height wearing matching PJs as all of you.

"Y/N come here" Fiona ran towards you and took the bowl out of your hands placing them down on the table. She gave you a smirk and then pulled you towards the man.

"Y/N this is Harry my cousin and Harry this is Y/N my bridesmaid and best friend" she introduced you two. You looked up at the towering man who had a charming smile on his face showing a dimple on his left cheek. He was pretty so pretty you didn't realize he had his hand extended to shake. Harry had never felt like this before, he doesn't know if it was the wine or the overall happy, lovey-dovey mood of the wedding but he can't seem to take his eyes off the pretty girl.

When Fiona asked him to join her Bachelorette party he thought she meant going to a party or something but knowing her a sleepover seemed more like it.

All of the girls were asleep except you and Fiona who was an inch away from drifting away. They were watching some random romcom on Netflix trying to marathon through them but most fell asleep before the first one ended.

"Bit of a cliché movie don't you think?" Harry leaned down a bit so he could whisper to not wake others. You smelled like cinnamon (maybe cause you ate a donut before this). Chills ran down your spine hearing his deep voice this close.

"I- um yeah a bit but I kind of like it?" You said but it came out more as a question. You pulled the blanket up trying to hide from the embarrassment. Why couldn't you just talk to a cute guy like normal?

"Really?" Harry hummed, "How so?" He asked genuinely curious about you. He wanted to know everything from why you liked cliché movies to what was your favorite colour.

You looked up finding his green eyes on yours, you immediately look away and start fiddling with your pajama bottoms.

Harry on the other hand was very amused. He found you so cute the way your cheeks and nose went red when you got embarrassed and the way you scrunched your nose and the way your hair was falling perfectly on side of your face making you look like an angel in the tv lit room.

"Why are you nervous huh?" Harry asked fully turning his attention to you. "Am I scary?" He mused.

Your eyes went wide as you looked at him. "No no...Oh my god no quite the opposite I think you're very cute. I just don't know how to talk-" You cut yourself off by slapping your hands to your mouth. You fell on the sofa and groaned while Harry was having time of his life laughing.

"You find me cute huh?" He nudged you with his shoulder. While you just closed your eyes and laughed. "Go away" You fake whined.

"I don't think so Miss Y/N" He scooted a bit more toward her. She looked up finding him smirking down at her. "I think you're very cute too" he said flicking your nose. He smile when he saw you scrunch them adorably again.

You were blushing like crazy, the butterflies in your stomach were creating a storm and you felt dizzy. Oh god, you were fucked.

"Now what would I have to do for a cute girl to cuddle me while we finish this cliché movie she loves?" Harry asks tucking the hair behind her ear and feeling the smooth skin of her cheek against his fingertips.

You were sure your cheeks were burning at this point. "Just keep her warm" You giggle lightly and scooted closer, Harry draped his arm around your shoulder and you tucked your head against his chest.

The wedding was beautiful. It was held in a vineyard, the altar was under a big flower tree, petals falling down as the brides held hands saying their vows it was amazing.

But the only thing Harry cared about was you in the blue bridesmaid dress matching the blue shirt Fiona made him wear so he would be the unofficial bridesmaid. Your hair was in a loose low bun with pieces falling on your face.

Now, the same beautiful girl was in his arms dancing with him to a beautiful slow song.

"You look beautiful" Harry said looking down at you his hand on your waist gripping your dress to make anything feel like the moment was real.

"You have told me this like fifty times already" You laughed and shook your head.

"Well you do" He shrugged, his eyes flicking between yours as he collected the courage to ask what he wanted.

"Wha-" "Will you go on a date with me?" He asked closing his eyes as if that would stop you from rejecting him but when you didn't reply for long he opened his left one to peek.

You were looking at him shocked. "I- um- okay- yeah" You stumbled over your words. Harry laughed in relief and so did you. He rested his forehead on yours and you resumed dancing.

"You owe me 50" Fiona elbowed her wife reminding her of the bet she won. Jade rolled their eyes and breathed out a fine. They watched as the couple danced in the middle of the dance floor with their foreheads resting on each other laughing.

That wedding became the start of two new love stories.

Reading The lnheritance Games rn and here are some of my opinions rambles and LOTS of fangirling(don't say that l didn't warn you)

The guy Avery used to play chess with,Darry(or was it Garry?lm too lazy to look it up)he's going to have a bigger role later on.As someone who has read lots of books in this genre l have a rough idea abt how the story moves along after reading a few chapters (I think most of us do)

Nash is soo underrated.He may not be as intriguing as Jameson or Grayson but come on this man has a specific charm to him. lm soo excited to see more of him and Libby.l don't know wth is wrong with me,you know your love life is messed up when you ship your crush(tho he may be fictional) with another woman. I get you guys are rightfully obsessed with Jameson and Grayson but give Nash and Xander some love too

And speaking abt Xander i absolutely love him i mean he's just soo bbg.Xander and l are besties in another universe.Hes my comfort character in this series and lm soo looking forward to his character development cuz l am pretty sure that there is more to him than a guy obsessed with scones.He and Libby are my favs

Coming to Libby l absolutely love her.Im soo excited to witness the dynamics between her and Nash.She deserves him 100%.And that son of a beach Drake can just go rot in hell.I feel that Libby isn't exactly being delulu in her relationship with Drake,she tells Avery that her mom used to beat her when she was young.Clearly she grew up in an abusive/toxic household and toxic parents or people in general have a way of convincing others that they are behaving like sheet to them because they "love" that person.So my bbg was clearly manipulated from a young age and when she grew up and found herself in an abusive relationship with a person who justifies his toxicity she couldn't help fall for it bcoz that was just how she grew up.Honestly this breaks my heart, don't be toxic guys it's sad,depressing and frustrating.

I see a lot of "team Grayson" and "team Jameson" stuff going on here and frankly lm on neither.Bcoz l think comparing two characters with two different personalities and perceptions is not fair.Both of them have good qualities and bad qualities.Though initially l didn't like Grayson.At.All.But now l am warming up.l an pretty sure there is loads more to him than we know of.

And now coming to the juicy relationship part...Tbh l don't have a clue if Avery would end up with Jameson or Grayson(since she's obviously gonna end up with either of them.)One part of me thinks that it's going to be Grayson and the other things that it's going to be Jameson(maybe I'll make a seperate post on that.)

SPONTANEOUS ASK favorite crackship and why???

genuinely have been thinking about this so hard since i received it. like i've never really thought to RANK crackships before - and tbh, half my actual ride-or-die otp-tier ships are arguably crackships by SOMEONE'S standards

...ok now that i'm typing this out, i've realized the obvious answer here. it's adonis x adrienne. they're just so fucking funny. step-father adonis to nerissa and poseidon? hilarious. adrienne calling avery homophobic slurs for having a crush on her and then turning around 20 years later and getting with her brother? absolutely unhinged behaviour. adonis continuing to defend his abusive wife while entering into a mid-life situationship with his little sister's childhood best friend? so insane it loops into being in-character. adrienne cannot stand in the same room as him for 2 seconds without wanting to punch him in the face. adonis has no spine whatsoever but he's also going to try to dictate her political beliefs. like theres just so much potential in those two.

that being said, i know this ask is actually about pokemon ships deep down. so sorry for derailing with my ocs. let me come up with a pokemon crackship for posterity.

GENERALLY speaking, pokemon crossover concepts are fucking incredble. e.g. silver and ash is a dynamic i've seen a few times that always just makes me sjkdfghjkdfjghk also, a lot of things that really SHOULD be considered crackships are actually just. weirdly popular ships in this fandom (rivalcrush immediately springs to mind. like who conceived of this and why. how did it become so widely loved. i have so many questions that i frankly do not want answered). then you have your pokemon ships too right. krazy is another ship i feel just. slapped me in the face when i discovered how genuinely popular it is. the huge library of ash x pikachu fics that were. hilariously. so much more popular pre-dp when a lot of people still headcanoned ash's pikachu as female. like no one is doing normalized crack like the pokemon fandom.

anyway. having said all that. while pokemon live obviously gave us the gem that is diamondshipping, it also gave us something else. the absolutely unparalleled giovanni professor oak dynamic. so after a lot of thought - that's my answer. but like, EXCLUSIVELY in the context of pokemon live. or the delia inclusive polycule. thank you for coming to my ted talk

I'm gonna do a yap on her brother and cousins at some point,,, I'm considering doing individual posts about the different families in the Sacred 28, mentioning things commonly associated with them, family scandals, known family members, family values etc jfnbjnjgb Ignatius was definitely in disbelief for a good bit honestly but once they got together I feel like he was over the moon,, it was one of those "pinch my arm so I know it's still real" situations for sure

YES YES YES!!! Remus having a good relationship with his parents is so important to me,, if I had to choose one Remus headcanon it might be that one tbh it just forms who he is for me in such a significant way. I think Remus being a mummy's boy or like,,, closer to his mother more so comes from the fact that Hope's trying to make up for Lyall not always being as present as he wants to be because of his guilt.

As for the dual religion, like I said, I don't think Lyall is extremely religious so as for holidays and traditions they'd likely be more Jewish leaning, especially cause I think Hope would be someone who got really focused on preparing everything etc. Depending on when Chanukah was they'd celebrate either Chanukah or Christmas but I could see them doing both if it fell on different dates? I'm not super sure but yeah!!!

I did a bit about the Avery family a few days ago jcnfjcnfj and I’m gonna do more in another post but yes, let me yap about the Rosiers!!!

So generally speaking I don’t portray Evan and Pandora as twins. Their parents are Druella’s older and younger brothers and their grandparents are Felix and Minette Rosier (I will likely be changing Minette’s name as I learned that there’s actually already a Minette Rosier, she just married into the Lestrange family). I think the Rosiers speak exclusively French when they’re home and they kinda look down on people who are able to but don’t.

Alabaster is the eldest, born in 1928 and he was the only Slytherin of his siblings. For context he’s a fifth year at Hogwarts when Tom Riddle, Edmund Avery Senior, Bruce Mulciber Senior and that whole gang are all in their sixth year. I’ve changed Cygnus Black’s age (so he doesn’t become a father at thirteen like Joanne apparently thought he should) so Alabaster and Cygnus are dorm mates in my head. Alabaster dies when he’s fairly young, either just before Evan is born or a month or so after,,, I haven’t decided yet. I just know Evan does not grow up with a dad. Alabaster married Ursa Brown (I might find a different last name for her cause I like the idea of her being French), a fellow Slytherin in his year.

Druella was born in 1930 and was a Hufflepuff. She enjoys watercolour paintings and home decorating and she’s quite close with her mother. She puts a lot of value on being a good future wife,,, there’s still a bit of drama that goes on when her and Cygnus gets engaged because before it gets announced she doesn’t know if she’s gonna marry Alphard or Cygnus (the latter who she’s had a bit of a crush on)

Acelin is the baby of the family born in 1931. He was sorted into Hufflepuff like his sister. He was noticeably close with a certain Eileen Prince who was also in both his year and house. Acelin marries Adaline, a French witch who attended Beauxbaton during her younger days

Also as it turns out, I’ve got a drawing of them from when they were in their fifth, third and second year!

My favourite headcanon for the Rosiers is that they frequently mix with Veelas. Alabaster, Druella and Acelin’s grandmother was a Veela and so they’re a quarter Veela. I like the idea of the family frequently mixing with Veelas which is how they have the white-gold hair. I could see Adaline being part Veela tho how much idk. I’m also just a sucker for Rosier family who’s odd and alluring and in theory a good handful of them are so freaky no one should want to be near them but still there’s just something inexplainable about them. Also the Rosier family who use it to their advantage to gain relationships with important wizard in families,,,,

I don’t have a lot for Evan’s dad other than like,,, his design? Though I do really like that,,, Evan is pretty much identical to him the genes are strong lol. His marriage is arranged just as both his siblings are, though he ends up quite happy with Ursa for the short time that they have together before he passes away
