i actually main zhongli, ningguang n beidou mostly (once i manage to get my primogems from maxed out friendship levels XD) n i also love their characters a lot. diona really grew on me n i use her quite a bit too. madam ping has a special place in my heart too, n for some reason i really like guoba HAHAHAHAH it cant aim for nuts but i still love it :,,3

honestly i dont really have characters that i dislike (pallad n albert are exceptions cos everyone kinda hates them with good reason so), each character is endearing/ interesting in their own way, but since we're talking about least favourites

my least favs are kaeya and diluc seperately (cos when they're together they become a lot more interesting, funny and tolerable HAHAHAH). i disliked kaeya as a joke at first but the more i listen to him in the quests the more i started to genuinely disliked him because of how he sounds like he perpetually has a shit eating grin (at least for the english VO) which makes even the simplest of statements sound super suspicious coming from him. not to mention half if not all his battle lines are snide comments that doubles as taunts. like i know hes an interesting character n i enjoy the depth he has, n he definitely has deeper ties to the over arching plot, but i also really want to punch his face every time he opens his mouth.

as for diluc (who came home n i excessively bully), the game was trying too hard to sell diluc as genshins version of batman (super cool, super competent, super vigilante, super edgy) in the story quests so i immediately disliked him. dude has 3 fully animated battle cutscenes showing off how badass he is that are too long n borderline unnecessary unless u really so badly want ur audience to get the hint that this guy is The Shit.

also when i saw his voicelines........ dude never grew out of his emo edgy phase ever n its. very cringe. (his voiceline when it rains is "if only the rain could cleanse the sins of the world" or something like that n every single time i hear it i just. sigh) as a character i think hes okay, except the parts where he talks about his idea of justice like the cool jaded vigilante that he is supposed to be. i also think mihoyo did his model dirty cos mihoyo is allergic to muscles n guy is supposed to have muscles he wields a greatsword with relative ease

i guess hes useful cos spiral abyss really favours pyro so hes one of the few i raised up to 90. i still shit on him endlessly tho

In the end of the day, it’s up to the person what they want to do with the RP blog. And it’s up to me to decide, whether or not I wish to stay around someone who excessively posts unrelated things to RP on their RP blog and it is affecting my experience/time in their blog.

I’m sorry if it may come off as cold or rude, BUT this might be a SHOCKER to some. I’m here to RP, I want to see that person’s work. Maybe those super personal rambles, might be better kept outside of a RP blog altogether.

Because surprise, those things can scare and drive people away from you. The amount of OOC posts, is something I pay attention to on someone’s blog before I follow. If I feel like the ratio is too off, then that’s a pretty telling sign for me to not even bother.

Speaking from my own experience: Working on my graphics for RP, has helped me maintain in check the skills I’ve learned throughout my college course. I’ve studied graphic design, I’m hoping to work with it in the future. I’m doing my graphics, because I have fun working on these things.

And before anyone decides to shove words into my mouth, if I don’t address it. Yes, I also think it is unfair that the general law around the tumblr RPC seems to be “Fancy graphics = QuAlItY rPeR”. That’s just extremely silly, and can be remedied once you find people who more or less matches your style.

There’s a knock. A woodpecker’s insistence drumrolling against the inside of Mun’s skull. The kind of constant rapping that refuses to be turned away, ignored. Invited over by too many tequila shots from last night; a novice study on how to forget one’s problems and leave them to be muted over in a wash of inebriation. Not pretty, but Mun’s resolute about pretending it is (just check his Instagram).  So there’s a knock, and eventually Mun pries his eyes open to proverbially answer. 

It’s not his apartment, build tight and overflowing with the evidence of Mun’s shopping addiction. There’s a sprawl of floor instead, bodies tetris-dropped around like a maze. He doesn’t remember wandering his way into a jjimjilbang to sleep off his hangover, but considering that fact, it was probably a smart thing that he had. At least he hadn’t ended up at Rina’s doorstep, given their current relationship status of: general confusion, his drunken awkward ramblings probably wouldn’t have helped the situation find clarity.

Mun drags himself up with heavy eyes and sore limbs, the kind of pain that makes him wonder what he’d gotten up to last night. It hurts his head to look at his phone, it hurts his head to collect the blankets he’d been using up off the floor, and it hurts his head to change back into his clothes he’d come in with - feels some kind of action-linked ache when he lifts his right elbow up above his temple.

Finally outside and Mun’s syphoning nicotine into his system like that’ll fast fix the world’s problems. It doesn’t, but it takes the edge off that headache. Less of a full-fisted pound, down instead to something rhythmic and obnoxious. He’s pulling in another inhale from his pen and trying to decide which location holds more precedence, a small 24 hour restaurant across the street, or the GS25 at the top of the not-so-gradual incline to his right. The promise of Advil trying to call out to him despite how very little Mun wants to trudge uphill. 

And, suddenly, there’s Haera. Hair a mess, makeup smudged, and footwear not suited for nine a.m. on a Sunday morning. Mun squints hard, like he’s trying to figure out if it’s all coincidental, if they’d been bar crawling around the same area post-show; or else if they’d met up at some point in the night, the refusal to pay triple price for a taxi and crash on location instead a joint decision.

“Hey, Min Haera. You look like shit.” He knows he looks the same, knows it won’t come across as an insult for that very reason. They both share that proclivity for appearance, it seems to be the foundation their relationship was built upon. Mun finds himself wincing at the way his voice rasps out, a physical plead for hydration. Something that doesn’t come attached to a proof. But he doesn’t just walk across the road to the restaurant. Doesn’t just walk himself up that hill to the GS. That would make too much immediate sense, and would impede on Mun’s excessive dislike for alone time. 

“What’re your plans on this fine morning?” 

He attempts a grin, but that just hurts his head too. Mun winces instead.

i have long black hair that’s usually straight but on a slightly wavy side. my skin’s like a light-ish brown and my eyes are chocolate brown,, or so i’m told. i’m on the more busty side and would say i’m fairly curvy(?) but my grandma keeps saying i’m skinny and need to eat more:))speaking of eating, its like absolutely one of my favorite things ever lolol (so yeah kinda contradictory lol)

Precious iron heart~! Despite his persona on the court, he’s actually a very sweet, protective, and kind spirit~! He is definitely your stable and solid rock in any situation / scenario you might find yourself in~! In terms of being emotional, he’s rather in touch with his emotions and will definitely be able to help ground you or at least bring you back to sensible ground if your emotions get the better of you and make you more stressed out than need be.

Other then that, he’s super curious and interested about your hobbies~! He likes to support you and honestly will keep you in line if you happen to stray too far from what needs to be done. He won’t really lecture you, but he’ll remind you that to get out of the hell that’s called school you gotta at least finish with passing. He wants to see you succeed and will feel bad if you happen to fall into a slump or a mood where you end up upset at yourself. 

He will definitely be out to support you at any an all of your games~! He’ll always be in the stands with the other Seirin members to support~! (Really he drags them against their will, but they end up coming on their own to support you after seeing how cool it was)

Teppei will definitely be a big help on your impulsive moments. He loves and worries over you and will definitely evaluate a situation quick enough so he can decide whether or not what you’re doing is good or not. He thinks it’s absolutely adorable when you ramble and before games he’ll be the one to gently cup your face before pressing a sweet kiss to your forehead for luck in hopes of calming you down. In terms of PDA, he’s not super handsy, but he does love to let others know that you’re definitely taken. He’ll hand you one of his shirts on a whim if you are in need of one. He let’s you borrow his jackets and hoodies. He’ll always have an arm around you too~!

You say that you are impulsive, and he can help you  with that no problem! One word, chaotic. But in a good way! See you and Kageyama would like two puzzle pieces, and the reason being is because he is emotionally stupid, that you can definitely help him with that! I mean, seriously, he needs some help. Help him. Anyways, you and Kageyama will have a blast with each other; he will be the type of person where your mental battery doesn’t get drained because he is just a quiet as you can be and just as soft. The cuddles would be endless and amazing because of this.

He will like how confident you are, from confessing to someone to being confident in competitions and such. And if he were to see you that you are panicking, he will do his best to calm you down. Key phrase here is do his best. He might not be that good at it, but you love the spirit. He is more of an introvert so him trying to make you feel better is gonna take a toll on him, but he will do it to make you feel better! Because he loves you!

This boi will love that you eat so much. He will have literal eating contest with you and then pass out when you win and he ate too much food. He’ll like how you aren’t afraid to show your “boyish” for lack of a better word. He’ll also love that you play volleyball and will want to play with you all the time. I mean it. All the time. Literally will push a volleyball in your face until you say yes to him, and then he’ll stop when he is satisfied.

Kageyama, when he finds out that you bake will definitely want to eat some of your baking! You’ll mention it in a passing way, and he’ll stop you in your conversation and immediately want you to bake for him, which you obviously can’t, but you think it’s either way and tell him you will the next day! Next day comes around and he scarfs down the cookies like he depends on it, and when done will give you kiss as thanks. It’s kind of gross though because his mouth is still full lololol.

Physical features and pda; Like Sousuke, he isn’t one to actively look for pda, but if you were to hold his hand or cuddle with him in public, he will unconciously respond to you, he will really not think about and it’s the most adorable thing ever! He will just lean into and play with your curly hair and not really think anything of it. He will get laughed at by his friends, and he will be embarrassed but he won’t stop once he gets started! You are also just very huggable to him!

Hey mun, how did you start your blog? I've always had trouble starting an ask/rp blog and would love some tips or advice!

OOC: I did it on a whim, promoted it on my other ask blogs and my main blog and have a few servers that allow link promoting along with some friends who you likely see as regular askers and some folks who help me do backstage stuff for it.

Then it gets promoted occasionally on my main blog which has the most followers. I also got pretty lucky in that I was the first ask yancy, tagged a few with the markiplier tag at the start and occasionally Ill tag one thats like in depth but never the asks, dont wanna spam. It’s honestly just... promote promote promote. And knowing how to do it without excessiveness. 

On top of that its knowing how to engage and encourage. 

Theres been a few times the ask box has gone empty, one little intriguing post on the blog and it fills right back up again. Gotta know how to work your crowd. 

That and I just.. do it for me?My other ask blogs havent done nearly as well as yancy has and one of them is a voice acting one. Yancy promotes a lot of mental health care too, and allows me to genuinely care for my followers until folks like Anti who is full of salt and rage and actually stabs people and then refuses to respond to the people hes killed cos clearly hes killed them lol I do it for me, I have fun doing this and I love how many people have come forward to tell me how much seeing this blog makes their day or has helped them and even one person said it saved their life and honestly thats why I do this sort of thing. 

I run a lot of ARG content, a lot of rolelays, events, DND games etc and love this community with all my heart. If youre doing it just to make numbers it wont ever make numbers. Gotta do it for the fun. I never expected yancy to take off as much as he did and as you can see I could ramble about it for days

WRITING 1. What is one thing you would change about your writing?

You know me, I’m perpetually questioning the comprehensiveness of my own writing as I often have no fucking clue on what I’m writing as I could be my own worst critic and am fucking insecure as fuck, but I truly believe I have grown to love my writing, certainly much more than in the past. People would often blatantly criticize that I don’t write enough actions and my way of writing is too dense and too obscure to decipher, but I refuse to dumb down any of my writings. I like to challenge myself and push the proverbial nature of English, both words and syntax and just break everything that’s known in the language when it comes to grammar and structure. It’s so malleable as never-drying clay and even with my run-on sentences and excessive use of semicolons and dashes, I love my writing. Flaws and imperfections and all. 

In retrospect, I just like to elaborate on details and go on and on and be verbose as possible. Maybe if I can slightly tone that down, but other than that, nothing could stop me from rambling about both of my muses who are hardened and guarded in their own ways, and uses defense mechanisms and ways to cope on their own to carry on their goodness and heart of gold. If I don’t express everything through my writing and refuse to give Hanzo and Kuai the depth and complexity they need (which NRS certainly never bothered to explore), then why am I writing? 

CHARACTERS 5. Do you prefer magical or mundane characters, why?

By mundane, non-magical characters?? I think I used to prefer mundane characters, but now that I’ve began delving into Hanzo and Kuai for more than a year and having fleshed out their abilities and utilizing their pyromancy and cryomancy as something that proverbially define their essentiality and personality - how Hanzo’s emotions spill and burn like wildfire, both paradoxically beautiful and destructive, while Kuai Liang’s contained phlegmatism and calmness is more like bone-chilling cold. Steady, yet equally beautiful and destructive, and ice has tendency to burn hotter than fire itself, as the icicles bring upon despair and hopelessness. It’s so much more fun to make them ‘normal,’ because the Mortal Kombat universe is already rampant with supernatural and magical elements, and I’ve grown to love exploring and delving both sides of the world through different verses and alternate universes. 

MULTI MUSE BLOGS 7. What is your biggest pride in your muses?

Hanzo Hasashi: Despite the unending barrage of grief throughout his life; through two Shirai Ryu extinctions and loss of not only his own life, but of his family’s, he has grown to be immensely intimate with his emotions and shortcomings, as it became a catalyst of invigorating and energizing him in pursuing emotional maturity and personal growth, offering the clan immeasurable interest and support as not only being its Grandmaster, but manifesting as different figures that one needs. He’s even able to take on a role of a psychiatrist; not offering immediate solutions, but being more patient and a great listener. Throughout MKX comics and leading up to MK11 storyline, Hanzo Hasashi has grown so much in dichotomy and complexity and it makes the mun so proud as to write as this fiery, impassioned ninja. 

Kuai Liang: It always has perplexed and confounded me how Sub-Zero always puts others before himself, even when he has more than his baggage of trials and tribulations. He always lets other people come to him to talk out their problems, but he will never discuss the throes of his own emotional pain. He is more than capable of being empathetic and merciful, but he chooses to exact towards those who he could absolutely devote to with utter trust, dedication and love. Through his calmness and generally solemn and severe phlegmatism that could drive strangers away as uninterest and impassiveness. Kuai Liang isn’t used to expressing in general, and he’s also be able to feel grief and anguish but will almost never elaborate. He refuses to, and a lot of time and coaxing would be needed. While he’s one of the most ferocious and capable warriors of the MK franchise, Kuai Liang is the most kindest and pure and I love him for it.

If the thread goes that direction, smut will be skipped with “fade to black” and the thread continuing after the act.

In short, light sex-related asks and suggestive/intimate threads and posts are allowed, I just won’t write detailed smut on here.

- I will not send asks, IMs, or any sort of contact unless it is explicitly said it is okay for me to do so (whether it’s by throwing an IM my way or send an OOC or IC ask). I get anxious and feel putting myself within boundaries would help with that.

RP Hivemind: A 16+ Homestuck Roleplay Mun Server!

This Discord server is a small out of character space for Homestuck/Hiveswap roleplayers to chat, share muse happenings, or hang out! That’s honestly as simple as it gets. It is also to encourage further communication and interaction between players and characters alike! 

We include separate channels for things such as general chat, a spoilers chat, an art channel, self promos, muse ramblings, events, and so on!

Members must be 16 years or older. To request an invite to this server please message @violetbard through ask or IM. This is to prevent a public invite from allowing too many people all at once, as well as preventing spammers from entering! These rules are here so there can be order and lack of discord, in the Discord. We will not micromanage or bite off anyone’s heads for simple mistakes, though please be mindful of how you act!

1. Make sure you put your intro down in the #intro channel so we know who you are, your pronouns, your roleplay blogs, etc.

2. You MUST be a Homestuck/Hiveswap rp blog, or an OC (including original characters, fantrolls, and fankids) heavily affiliated with Homestuck interaction; no personals who happens to rp Homestuck.  It’s recommended that you have info pages on your blog but not required.

3. Do not attack or ridicule others based on their different headcanons, ships, favored characters, associated AUs, or art. If you can not tolerate others for having contrasting interest in the roleplay environment, then this server might not be for you.

4. Know the difference between IC versus OOC before you join. You are responsible for your own comfort and safety. There are going to be bad, ill-intentioned, morally gray characters and more. If anything in RP affects you negatively OOCly, it is your responsibility to care for yourself and communicate.

5. Refrain from excessive talk on heavier/personal topics such as politics, kin identity, media coverage, or common trigger topics.

6. Keep OOC drama out; if you can’t handle a person because of recent tension than you can either take a breather from the server, leave, or even vent to the mods in PM. Arguments started in here will issue a warning. That being said, do not be purposely petty or cocky towards someone you dislike or disagree with. The only time someone may be asked to leave is if they are a legit threat or enabler of harassment.

7. NSFW talk AND NSFW art belong in  the #nsfw channel. Mature conversation of a mild tone is allowed in #general-chat , but be mindful of how far you go and the folks around you. If it could get you fired it’s probably nsfw. Additionally, if you are found out to be a minor receiving nsfw content from the server, or you’re an adult sharing nsfw content with a minor, you will automatically be kicked from the server.

8. Please keep from spamming any of the channels with walls of stanzas or many pictures posted in a row.

9. The #ic-chat-client is for muses to interact in a public room. Make sure rp courtesy is still present, such as asking a mun for permission to do something to their muse.

10. Do not negatively vague about/blatantly call out anyone in relation to what happens in this server. This counts as starting drama, and you will be given a warning.

11. Please respect the moderators (Scamper Masters) when they ask things of you. Do not block them or ignore PMs in relation to the server.

12. Please refrain from heavy slurs, and absolutely no racist/homophobic/transphobic slurs or jokes.

13. Check the push pin icons of each channel for their brief descriptions, or the descriptions in the channel topic.

After three warnings (one per incident) you are muted for 24 hrs before being allowed to speak again. After five warnings you will be kicked from the server.

If you have any concerns during the time of a consequence, you can message the mods, but there is not always a guarantee that warnings will be revoked unless it’s through a series of miscommunication or misdirection.

Carefully consider if you are comfortable being in a server with individuals that you will not always get along with.

If you have any drama existing outside of the server with someone, keep it OUT of the server. I will not be playing first come first server and will not kick anyone out unless they are an actual threat, or problem in the server itself. You either have the choice of ignoring, blocking, dealing with their presence, or leaving.

MUN QUESTIONS.

Q1 :   if  you  could  write  your  character  your  way  in  their  own  movie ,   what  would  it  be  called ,  what  style  would  it  be  filmed  in ,  and  what  would  it  be  about ?          

A1 :  it would be called ‘ a life after death ‘ and be a simple indie - esque film. the kind of movie that you can tell didn’t have the biggest budget, was probably filmed in the same stile as a youtube vlog, but they did there best with it and created an interesting little story that was filled with warmth because of the interactions between the few characters. it wouldn’t be anything fancy, maybe a short film about him going about his day and beginning to fall in love. 

Q2 :   what  would  their  soundtrack / score  sound  like ?          

A2 : his soundtrack would be like something made by idealism. soothing beats, a bit of a piano melody, and overlayed with the sound of rainfall.

Q3 :   why  did  you  start  writing  this  character ?         

A3 :  i started writing this character april 2017. he’s one of my newest oc’s really and i’m surprised ive come this far development wise with him ( and i hope that i continue to do as well as i have thus far )

Q4 :   what  first  attracted  you  to  this  character ?          

A4 :  lin was born from the quote ‘ i’m a ghost in training and my heart is waning ‘

A5 : i hate that he’s so soft. i have a love hate relationship with that trait of his because i think its great that after what he has been through he can still be kindhearted and a geniuinely nice soul, but i also think that it makes him extremely passive and spineless. 

Q6 :   what  do  you  have  in  common  with  your  muse ?          

A6 :  we both wear socks and sandals. its actually something i took up after thinking thats what lin would do.

Q7 :   how  does  your  muse  feel  about  you ?          

A7 : i would like to think that we would be friends. he would think that i need to relax more. 

Q8 :   what  characters  does  your  muse  have  interesting  interactions  with ?        

A8 : he has intering interactions with characters who are strong willed and extroverted. they bring out a side of him that wants to be vocal about what he wants. 

Q9 :   what  gives  you  inspiration  to  write  your  muse ?         

A9 :  listening to lo-fi music / chill hop. lin is a mellow character and i relate him to those kinds of easy beats.
