TWST X EPIC MY BELOVED

Okay, so me and my sis were just talking then Epic the musical came up and crap, then I wanted to draw Hermes, but I’m in creative, so I said I’ll draw Rook Hunt (🤮🤮🤮🤮) as Hermes, cause they SORT OF remind me of each other (except for the fact that Hermes is just🫦🫦💋💋💋), so…

MY TWST X EPIC AU WAS BORNE

Idk, Rook Hunt fans should tell me if I failed, idc much, really.

I think having him being the god of travel is interesting since I remember him saying his family travelled a lot? Or was it that they owned a traveling agency?? Idk.

But, I also liked the fact that he’s the god of languages, too, cause Rook Hunt is Atleast speaking a lot of french and is one of the few characters known to diverge from the normal language everyone is familiar with.

Then we have his great-grandkid who’s trying to spite the god’s for keeping her away from her lovely husband.

She’s a Yuu, loosely based off of Little Red Riding Hood, an idea I had a while back. She wasn’t in any actual relationship but her most important relationship was her rivalry with Rook and how much she hates him, which I find funny now that I’ve made them related.

She’s the only woman in her crew, so ofc she has to be the captain (/jk).

But…since her crew can be dumbasses (killing sheep, opening mysterious bags) she takes all the responsibility on herself.

I’d say in the beginning, she was willing to die for her crew, but around the song sung by the prophet from the Underworld, she kinda gains a more ruthless approach.

In Suffering, when the Siren (Jade faking to be Jamil) is faking to be her husband, just a glimpse of Jamil (no matter how poorly imitated) was enough to remind her who she was actually fighting for.

In Love in Paradise with Malleus, she feels sympathetic towards Malleus, but not enough to reciprocate or pretend to reciprocate his feelings.

I feel she just has a more calculative expression than Odysseus, making her look a bit colder than she feels.

She was born into royalty and Jamil was a guard. Yuu fell first and hard, while Jamil fell second and harder. Jamil currently rules as the King Consort, refusing to be crowned as the actual King of Ithaca, because he is sure his wife is coming back soon.

I’m unsure of other’s roles in Epic, though. I’m open to Riddle being Athena, since they both have similar personalities and character arcs. Vil strikes me as a Circe, because I can see Vil trying hard to protect people that follow him and are under his care. Crowley is Zeus. Thinking Crewel is Hera?? (Non romantic) Would LOVE Deuce/Ortho as Polites. Maybe Jack/Sebek as Telemachus?? And Carter as Apollo cause they’re both pretty boys.

DESCENDANTS 1 MAL IN DIASOMNIA

I feel like they probs know she’s the daughter of Maleficient. Like she turned into a dragon by accident.

Her most prominent relationships are the first years and Diasomnia.

She definitely gets along with Silver and they chill out together, listening to music (Mal picks loud music to keep him awake).

Lilia reminds her of her mother, lowkey, so she kinda has a soft spot for him and likes when he compliments her or acts caring to her.

Honestly, her and Malleus are two opposing individuals you don't want in a room together. They both have great leadership skills and fierce protection of their friends, so I feel like Mal'd understand him overblotting. They don't usually have interests that overlap, so they don't hang out much (to the fortune of the whole school).

Sebek respects her almost as much as he respects Malleus and Lilia, so he's always there to yell at Ace for 'disrespecting' Mal. They are also classmates and boy is Mal always embarrassed by him, but he backs off when she sternly tells him to and she likes playing jokes on him.

Ace is her favorite first year, mainly cause of his pranks. He was afraid of her, after the whole dragon incident the first time they met, but after some time, they bonded over pranks. The first time Ace pranked Mal, it was by accident, and he expected Mal to kill him, but she laughed it off and they practically became best friends.

Deuce is someone she did not like, at first, but he grew on her, ngl. Deuce was terrified of her and always nervous, but he soon became a bit more loose around her. When Deuce told Mal about his mom, she jokingly called him a momma's boy, but she's actually a bit jealous of his relationship with his mom. They are both good friends, but became best friends after ranting about how much their friends were head over heels for each other (*cough* Evie and Ace *cough).

Savanaclaw respectively fears her. Even Leona. Like, they try to avoid bullying her friends, cause the last time that happened, Mal broke the person's arm and got away scot free cause she's the daughter of Maleficient. But, she admires Leona's authority over his dorm, and she relates with Ruggie with not growing up exactly privileged. Her and Ruggie actually get along very well, when they have an aligned goal and they usually point out the others' schemes/plans in admiration. Ruggie still doesn't mess with her, though.

Jack is the only few that questions her authority and is left proven wrong. He respected her, sure, but she always seemed like a bully to him. It isn't until they spend more time around each other that they see their similarities and actually understand each other. They both hate showing affection, usually, and they're very loyal to their friends and not to mention that they are the reasonable ones of the first years, most of the time. I feel like they'd defend each other, like Ace is making fun of Jack and Mal shoots and insult at him, making Ace's attention on her.

She hangs in Pomefiore mainly because of Evie or, a few times, Epel.

Her and Epel together almost always cause trouble and chaos. She made the mistake of underestimating him, but she'll never do it again. Epel sees her as an escape from the posh life of Pomefiore, since she's pretty good at escaping Rook's watchful eye. Mal does NOT get his obsession with being manly, though. Like she can break Leona's arm and she doesn't need crazy big muscles for that.

Vil often faints around her. Mainly because of the rebellious attitude she inspires in Epel and some other Pomefiore students. Often begs Evie to get Mal out before he snaps. Their goals can align, and they see each other as formidable ally/foe when the situation calls for it. You know that Into the Book NBC where Vil is like, "Should we just leave them to die?"? Yeah, Mal definitely asks the same question at the same time.

"That creepy guy who follows Vil, Epel and Evie around? Evie says to not worry, and I don't, but if he tries anything, he's going to turn into ashes." We don't talk about Mal and Rook, guys. They're like a toxic, one sided, platonic yuri.

Mal calls Azul 'Shrimpy' cause he's a bit shorter than her, and he reminds her of a certain octopus she loved making fun of. Azul is always walking eggshells around her, so he just lets her get away with this.

Mal loves how shady Jamil is and she guessed what he was up to like a mile away. She doesn't really have any strong opinions on Kalim, so she does not care. She tries to encourage Jamil to embrace the 'dark side' more often, though. Jamil politely declines, most of the time.

Riddle was such a let down for her, ngl. She heard "OFF WITH YOUR HEAD!!" and was expecting a bloodbath. Relates with his relationship with his mother, and it's kinda how she was able to realize that maybe her mother did not actually love her as much as she thought. She is always getting him to have some fun and let loose and Riddle sometimes agrees, mainly because she's a prominent figure and because he kinda likes it.

Speaking of letdowns, Idia makes her cringe, majority of the time. Like, she CANNOT believe that he's supposed to lead the dorm her dad is inspired by. Idia doesn't even bother with her. He's always hiding when she's around and he'd rather jump off a balcony than see her. He's scared shitless of her. Ortho tells him that he's calling Mal over and Idia will SPRINT out of his room.

Ortho and Mal. Mutual respect and admiration. A little robot that WILL choose violence? Why not? A girl that can turn into a dragon? Why not? Mal and Ortho hang, sometimes, mainly with the other first years.

Grim is like Mal's biggest fan. Always willing to agree with her and do anything she's doing. She finds it annoying, but endearing.

I used the birthday boy card series as inspiration on what piece I should draw, since the light colors of Yuubeni reminded me of that series.

The cake was supposed to look like a garden a toddler would draw since I imagine Trey baking the cake and Ace, Deuce and Grim decorating the cake to be artistic like Yuubeni, but they have no experience outside doodling so the results are pretty much what you’d expect.

I tried for the background, but I’m not too good at drawing plants, so…yeah.

Celine isn't actually in his dream, like she's in her own Book 7 w/ the Snow Queen who, instead of making everyone dream, is poisoning the hearts of everyone and trying to bring eternal winter.

Not Snezhana and Malleus probs fighting at least once in their overblot states as they fundamentally want two entirely different things. Snezhana wants everyone to wake up and face reality while Malleus wishes everyone to enjoy a new reality inside their dreams.

Celine is probs going to be a lot nicer due to pettiness on Malleus' part. Infact, all the girls appearing in the boys' dreams are going to be a lot nicer, which may or may not unease the dreamer. Celine's not exactly 'mean' to Ruggie, just light teasing and banter, most of the time, but she can be nice when she wants to, so Ruggie probs won't suspect much. It isn't until Celine outright says she loves him, because I think Ruggie and Celine hangout a lot, but never outright state their feelings, even though they both kinda know. I don't think they're outright dating until maybe a few years into the future where they are both financially secure, so the l-word bomb starts Ruggie's suspicions.

Preferring the 2 design, cause I feel it suits Mauve's 'beauty queen' standards?? Like, she definitely would post 'Get Ready With Me' videos on Tiktok and would advertise brands while doing it.

Backstory: TW: light mentions of body shaming/(eating disorder)?, bullying + verbal abuse

Okay, so like, before she was born, Mama Ashengretto and her husband (idk Todd) got into this huge fight and Mama Ashengretto had enough. So, they started the process of divorce. It was long (mainly because they had a shared business and assets. The shared business was basically like a restaurant and live music performance) and by the time it was finally finalized, Mauve was already a year old, so she stayed with her mother till she was 3, then with her father till present.

Her and Azul used to visit each other's parents during the holidays. It was like Christmas and New Years, both would be in Todd's place, Summer Vacation, they'd both be in Mama Ashengretto's place.

But when Mauve was 7, her father decided to take his business to land, so they had to do a change of paperwork, so only Mauve was going to see her mother every holiday when she turned 10 (I don't think the potion that turns merfolk into humans would work on children younger than 10, soo...). But, before she turned 10, I'm thinking she stayed with Mama Ashengretto and her husband. Azul didn't care much, cause he didn't like Todd much and Todd did not like Mauve much.

During Mauve's 7-10, Mauve and Azul sort of bonded, especially since they were being bullied together. I'm thinking Mauve was really slim and people sort of made fun of her for it. She just didn't like eating much.

But after Mauve turned 10, they grew apart, especially with Todd sort of making Mauve help around the business a lot more. Like, she was the poster girl for the business (he made her eat a lot more, and took her to voice training classes, instrumental classes and dance classes), had a magicam account with over a 100k followers, and she still needed to get good grades.

She was practically thrown into a constant circle of stress and perfection at 10 and the holidays in the sea were her only escape (albeit, she still needed to practice, but her father could only call to tell her to practice + Mama Ashengretto would 'accidentally' ignore his calls, sometimes). This made Mauve a bit more isolated.

She'd come to the sea and shut herself in her room, only coming out if Mama Ashengretto/Azul pleaded (but Azul stopped the older they got).

It got worse as she was older. Azul began showing how competent he was and Todd was like "Why can't you be like your brother? I chose you, because I thought with the curly hair and all, you might have inherited more of my brilliance!" or some crap like that, which made Mauve cry the first few times in private.

So, Mauve worked harder and harder, even taking up a few more things like "Suikendo" and gymnastics to increase her flexibility for dancing. You know that one girl who's in almost every club and knows almost everyone? Yeah, she's that girl. Overworked and overstressed.

At the end of her first year in middle school, she was told by her principle that she was eligible for skipping a grade. She was so happy that she went to her father and told him the news. He was ecstatic, told her he was proud (for the first time in what felt like forever) and WENT STRAIGHT TO BRAGGING TO MAMA ASHENGRETTO ON HOW HE HAD THE BETTER KID.

Mama Ashengretto was absolutely proud (ignoring the stupid comment) and told Mauve how proud she was. Then she even told Todd that Azul got accepted to NRC. Todd was immediately shocked and begged to talk to Azul. Mama Ashengretto reluctantly said okay and put Azul on the phone. Azul is very indifferent but Todd is so excited, calling him "my son" which cringes almost everyone hearing it.

This just ruins Mauve's relationship w/ her brother even further.

When she's accepted into TCC, she's extremely proud and continues over working herself with being a waitress, server, manager (Alohi is the actual manager but sevens know that she's only there to boss people around. Mauve actually listens to complaints) and vice-housewarden at the Monstro Lounge. She even holds study groups for her classmates, asking for a decent fee which even attracts people from NRC, since she's 'less shady' than Azul (she's not, but she'll accept the title).

I first wanted to ship her w/ Jade, because she has mob wife energy, but I think she'd be the mob boss, herself?? Like, her dad is in some shady shit, so... BUTTT I didn't like the age gap?? Like, ik 2years and 19 days older is not much ig. 2 years is actually the highest age gap I'm most comfortable w/ (aside from 1 year age gap) but...ehhh...

Then thought her x Deuce would be cute? I think they met through Prefect. Like, instead of cheating in Book 3, My Ghost Prefect met Mauve who was more than happy to teach her for free if she'd owe her a favor. Prefect took the chance and actually got a good score. After Book 3, Prefect drags Adeuce + Grim to Mauve.

Ace and Grim don't trust her as she is "related to a snake", while Deuce is so nervous around her, because she's pretty.

Idk, love life is still kinda in the works.

She's also in Spelldrive Club, because despite her wearing dresses and embracing femineity, she's not afraid to kick some ass in any sport she can. Especially in a sport that involves something her brother sucks at.

Her and Azul's relationship is strained, because they both see the other as the better sibling. Like, Azul sees that she's extremely popular on social media and how even a few of his classmates ask him about her, PLUS she SKIPPED a grade! And she's better at him in sports!

Mauve, on the other hand sees how he's 'effortlessly' smart and doesn't have to study as much as her. How he got the nice parent AND step-parent. How he's better at Potions than her. How he STARTED A GOSHDARN BUSINESS. LIKE WHATTT???

After both of their Book 3, I feel like they become more open to each other about their envy towards each other and start to try and respect each other more. I think their relationship is somewhat closer after Book 7.

Hedena probably gave her a (much, much more expensive) dress as a gift, after complimenting her dress. Hedena was probably invited by Ace, Epel or my Prefect to the garden party

She was REALLY worried that Yuubeni would not like the gift, so she’s secretly really happy that she does like it!

This is just practicing.

I was thinking of doing a perspective shot in the garden like how they did in Fairy Gala.

But, I don’t think I’ll do the garden justice…

Well, this made me a bit confident.

The mother Gothel and Cassandra oc!!! My first official twst oc and her daughter!! She’s like in her early 40s (gave birth in her 20s), a horrible and neglectful mom, but is she a great actress and CEO.

 She gave my Cassandra a bit of trauma relating to Rapunzels, having showered her love and attention mainly on my Rapunzel.

She’s just such a crucial part to Casaleena’s overblot that I had to draw her atleast once.

Guilia is a horrible mother, but she cares. In her own twisted way, she truly wants her daughter to succeed just like she did, but projecting herself onto her daughter just serves to draw her daughter farther away.

Guilia sees a lot of herself in her daughter and feels like she would be able to deal with a ‘bit’ of neglect and less attention than Rapunzel, who reminds her of her deceased best friend/Rapunzel’s mother. 

It’s like, she’s always put inbetween hanging out with the two girls and she’s like, “Eh. Casa-something won’t mind if I miss this ONE (spoilers: it’s been more than 300 things) thing! Rapunzel, on the other hand, would be devastated, because I know how her mother was like! Always getting so sad anytime I failed to show up!” And she picks Rapunzel.

Guilia’s attitude towards her daughter comes from a place of self hatred, guilt and sacrifice which she’s trying to, unconsciously, teach her relunctant daughter.

Casaleena knows Guilia’s attitude is not healthy, sure, but she still wants validation from her mother, as she is practically the only blood she has. Casaleena tries to avoid the toxic behavior of her mother by trying to disassociate herself from her mother by doing things she won’t approve of, but in reality she just wants her attention.

Casaleena also feels robbed of a destiny as her mother has shoved her into a predetermined role that she never wanted. She never wanted to be the manipulative villain, but she still ends up portrayed as one by her peers, because of the mannerisms that she (subconsciously) picks up from her mother.

With every decision she makes, every smile she fakes, she ends up closer and closer to her mother. Heck, she switched dorms from Pomefiore to Ighnihyde to avoid anything with her mother.

What are you to do when you always feel trapped? Always judged? Always “just like her”? It’s always “she’ll be hurt less by this than Rapunzel”? It’s always “you’re supposed to protect them”? It’s always “she’s so fake”?

Nothing will ever change.

And she knows this.

This is what spurs her overblot. It’s not as simple as “mommy never loved me”. It’s more of, “I’ve never been loved because people are too busy judging me, comparing me, idolizing me or hating me to understand that I’m just human and I know that won’t ever change, so I’ll just have to MAKE it change”.

Vil doesn’t even like her, due to him seeing her as a fake and rude person who’s just manipulating people, when that’s the only way she’s learned to survive the entertainment industry. And I feel like they only bond after Book 6, when they both sacrificed their youth. After that, they take less jabs at each other and try to be more understanding/polite.

I put so much effort into Casaleena’s story and I do not condone her actions, I’m only offering an explanation of her overblot and how it came to be.

Fun fact: Casaleena has been identified as being half fae, along with Rapunzel, despite not having any fae blood in them. They both just have the Sundrop and Moonstone essence in their blood, granting them immunity and affinity to blot, respectively. So these two are incredibly powerful and Rapunzel/Idia/Casaleena were the three main reasons they defeated OB!Casaleena.
