              remy is!! a very self sacrificing person. like, i just want you to know. she will break herself in half for other people. she’ll never hesitate to throw herself in between any danger, and the ones she loves. ( that much is obvious tbh ) but, i think it’s really important to know that? remy is constantly putting others before herself. she pours and pours so much of herself into the people around her, and has shouldered a lot of the weight of her little world. she has gotten so accustomed to taking care of people. even grown adults. like? for example. her cousin, rowan. she’s ALWAYS cleaning up her messes --- tagging along when she drags her along on some sort of her drunken adventures. or simply helping her youngest cousin, april, with her homework. working at the occult shop for isabella, helping her great-grandmother around the house, cleaning and cooking for her dad while he’s at work. she always puts herself dead last. and it’s not even intentional; she just has gotten so used to it. and i think a lot of times, people don’t even really notice just how much she sacrifices herself for other people. sometimes, it gets to the point where she’s just completely burnt out; because, she’s trying to be in so many different places at once and constantly there for everybody. overextending herself to the point where’s she’s run herself ragged.

              i think, sometimes --- she just needs someone who is going to tell her to take a step back. to simply focus on herself, for a second. for once. instead of constantly worrying about everybody else around her.

              remy definitely has issues losing track of time and forgetting to go to sleep? like she gets absorbed in practicing a new spell, or something --- and she tells herself that she’ll go to bed in a few minutes, and it just never happens. this usually results in her falling asleep or just passing out from sheer exhaustion in some pretty strange places. such as falling asleep all curled up on the couch while old disney tapes play in the vcr. falling asleep using an old grimoire as a pillow at the kitchen table. laying out on the floor with the cats. and so on and so forth. ( the list is probably endless of weird places she’s passed out in. ) there has been MANY an occasion in which remy has fallen asleep in places that were not her bed. simply because she just gets distracted and sucked into what she was doing.

             on remy + her relationship with her father. remy and her father are very close. she is his only child; and she’s very much a daddy’s girl. and she knows that she owes a lot of who she is as a person and how she’s grown into a confident young woman to her dad --- who raised her as a single parent for the majority of her life. ( after her mother passed away. ) charles has always been so supportive of her. especially coming into her roots and embracing her identity as a witch; even though he doesn’t understand most of it. personality wise, he is just the most laid back parent. just a very roll with the punches sort of dad. and that’s definitely played a huge part in making her the free-spirit, carefree and almost happy-go-lucky person that she is, today. she’s always just been allowed to sort of make her own way in life --- and i really think that has helped her to keep some of that wide-eyed optimism that she maintains into adulthood.

             tl;dr: remy is very close to her dad, and celebrates him every chance she gets! he’s done so much for her throughout her life. she feels like she can tell him anything; there are no secrets between them, and he’s always sort of been there as a support system for her. even when he often had to work a lot to support her as a kid. i could...never find the right words to express just how IMPORTANT her dad and their relationship is to her!!

             to anyone wanting to spoil remy or give her anything, not just for valentine’s day, but ever: she is the most flustered and awkward creature when it comes to people spoiling her or giving her things. growing up, her family was slightly poor ? like, she always had food and shelter, but, there wasn’t a lot of opportunities for gifts or frivolous things, outside of her birthday or the holidays. which didn’t really bother her, it just makes her so awkward when people try to spoil her because she just isn’t used to it and doesn’t know how to just ACCEPT it.
