𝑴𝒐𝒕𝒕𝒐: "Growing Strong". 𝑺𝒊𝒈𝒊𝒍: Is a golden rose on a green field. 𝑻𝒓𝒂𝒊𝒕𝒔: Members of the family tend to have curly brown hair and brown eyes.
Lords Paramount of the Mander and the liege lords of the Reach. House Tyrell is a large, wealthy house, its wealth is only surpassed among the Great Houses by House Lannister. The Tyrells control much of the agriculture in the Reach, making them influential players in the politics of Westeros.
Unlike most other Great Houses, the Tyrells never ruled as kings. Instead, they trace their line of descent through the female line to the legendary Garth the Gardener, the mythical first King of the Reach reigning in the Age of Heroes, and the son of the equally mythic Garth Greenhand.
After the fall of House Gardener, the Tyrells rose to prominence by supporting Aegon I Targaryen. In return for their loyalty, they were granted the title of Wardens of the South and became one of the most powerful houses in Westeros.
During the reign of King Jaehaerys I Targaryen, the Tyrells hosted the famed Tourney of the Field of Roses.
As the Dance of the Dragons began, Lord Lyonel Tyrell was an infant, and his regent mother was judged likely to align the Reach with the House's "overmighty" bannermen, the Hightowers, and the greens.
However, House Tyrell decided to take no part in the war. The Tyrell bannermen, on the other hand, were split during the war, with men of the Reach fighting on both sides. Later Ser Ulf White attempted to claim Highgarden for himself, as House Tyrell had taken no part in the Dance and he believed they should be considered traitors.
During Robert's Rebellion, House Tyrell stayed loyal to King Aerys II Targaryen. Lord Mace Tyrell's forces achieved victory against Lord Robert Baratheon at the Battle of Ashford.

ASOIAF ladies as greek goddesses (part 1 ?)
For Cersei, I had also Hera in mind. But I thought Eris and Nike worked well for Cersei and Daenerys as Eris and Nike are sort of opposites in war for example. I think Themis would also fit for Daenerys.
Demeter makes so much sense for Catelyn if we consider Persephone for Sansa. There are some parallels between them that I like.
Hekate is perfect for Melisandre. As for Arya, I know people think of her as Nemesis. And in a sense, it's right. But Artemis is portrayed as a young girl who makes Zeus quite proud. Arya is said to be "wild" and is to connected Nymeria (her direwolf). And I expect it to become much important in the next books.
As for Missandei, I didn't know which goddess to use. I went for the muses because she's well versed in languages and literature (I guess). Eloquence made sense right ? I've seen many different interpretations for Margaery. Aphrodite, Hebe or Persephone among others. I decided for Elpis, because she represented hope for Sansa and the smallfolk, but hope can be bittersweet in greek mythology...

LADY TYRELL, REGENT TO LYONEL TYRELL
Lady Tyrell had already ruled as a regent, together with Highgarden's castellan and steward, for her infant son Lyonel before the Dance of the Dragons began. With the loyalty of the lords of the Reach split between Rhaenyra and Aegon II at the start of the war, Lyonel's three regents withdrew their support for Aegon II and chose to keep House Tyrell neutral throughout the war. When Lord Kermit Tully marched on King's Landing against Aegon II, the king desperately wrote to Lord Tyrell for support, but his mother wrote that she had reason to doubt the loyalty of her son's bannermen and was not fit to lead a host to war herself, "being a mere woman".

ASOIAF characters as greek gods
I've seen so many people saying Robert would fit Zeus, because he's the king and a cheater. But in fact, it's Tywin who is more like Zeus (except that as far I know he isn't a cheater), he has been painted as the true ruler of the seven kingdoms. He's cunning and would do anything to keep the power he has. And to be honest, I chose him also because I used Hephaestus for Tyrion, Ares for Jaime and Eris for Cersei.
Who would be better for Helios than Oberyn ? He shines. He's the sun. The sun being a symbol of his house.
Tyrion fits Hephaestus so well in truth, not really because of his domains, but more like the tropes in his story. He's the rejected son of Tywin, who is (very) smart and considered hideous by the other characters. And he wants acceptance from his father (& family). Now replace Tywin by Hera, and you have basically Hephaestus.
I've seen Ares for Robb, and I strongly disagree. Before his development, I'd like to remind everyone that Jaime actually liked war. He was good at fighting, he inspired others to fight alongside him. He's pretty vengeful at that. He went to war for Tyrion. He's quite jealous and possessive too. And I liked the idea of being Ares because of Brienne. They both represent a different aspect of chiralry and bravery. Plus take into account that Ares and Eris are said to be close and fight together sometimes.
Please don't hate me, but I had no idea for Jon at first. I thought of Perseus, but I wanted a god. Then I went for Hades. Hades who is the eldest of the sons and got the kingdom his brothers didn't really want. Hades who always did his duty and led his "people" at best he could. Hades has a stern side, but he is fair. Doesn't it remind you of someone ? Plus he reigns over the dead, Jon who most likely will ressurect in the books...
Robb... you weren't the easiest. But the winter god fits him. When he went to war, he came with winter (metaphorically).
The "healing" part doesn't have anything with Loras. But he's all light. He has a good reputation, he is said to be charming and beautiful, he likes to be seen and loves so much, he's a strong warrior but at the same time arrogant, hot-tempered and vengeful.
Bran is a curious boy, who enjoys exploring. He travels to the north. He's told he's going to fly. And he "travels" between different worlds (dreams, memories and "reality"). He makes his parents proud. In the books, Bran is probably the "closest" to the gods and I have the feeling he's going to be the messenger of the (old) gods. He's said to be easy to love and smart. Hermes sounds a lot like him actually.
