"I have to admit, you weren't meant to see this." The god purrs, while several extra arms perch above their head like a trap waiting to be sprung. From their talons, blood drips in a steady flow. At their feet lays a circle, framed by weird shapes that seem to pulsate and move each time they aren't looked at.

"I suppose you're wondering what happened?" They question, their head snapping as they look over their shoulder. Just a little way behind them, just outside the circle, lays the remains of a body. Though now they are shredded beyond recognition. "Let's just say I don't take kindly to amateurs calling upon me for petty requests."

A rattling noise thrums through the air, and it seems like the creature is laughing. "They weren't your friend, were they?"

being twenty-five is standing alone in your room at 12:47 a.m. going on an unfiltered rant about everything you wish you could say to your best friend who hurt you whom you've asked for space from because you don't have it in you to open up and explain, again, why his words and responses were so fucking cruel in their thoughtlessness without the respect and calm that the friendship deserves but you can't find it in yourself to push through the fury, the hurt, the pain to find forgiveness and to be able to speak from a place of love and .

Oh, what a foolish mistake they had made. Who would fall to sleep watching the shadows flicker and warp, in such a way that the imagination could conjure up any number of monsters or beasties? Yet, perhaps that would be better than what actually emerges from the corner of the room. The darkness recedes as mauve orbs ignite.

The sound of nails scraping against wood faintly rings around the room as they step close to the sleeping being. Their body creaks and cracks as they lean down, their face inches away from each other, and a hand reaches to pluck a strand of hair.

"Look, I gotta say thanks again for taking the time to listen to me. I know it's a lot to process but I'm here to help you wrap your brain around it" The man adds to the end of whatever preamble he had been spewing. With his throat now dry, he picks up the glass of water that had been offered to him and takes a sip.

While placing it back on the table in front of him he offers them an award winning smile. "And might I say, you're home is delightful. I hope I can have a place like this one day." Tilting his head back he takes in the details of the room and it's only then he realises his mistake.

The corners of his lips slowly drop and his heart starts thundering in his chest. Down his arms his tattoos have begun to squirm and writhe as if waiting to be released. "Well...Guess I better be going. You have my number, feel free to call me whenever you want to start the sign up process."

A hand curls around their victim's face, pressing their palm roughly against much softer lips. Talons press lightly against delicate flesh, threatening to sink in deep if they dared move. "Shhhh..." The creature begins. "Not so loud. You wouldn't want them to see us, would you?"

"I WISH I could get some sleep..."

Before him there is only dirt and debris, but his attention is fixed to the floor. The purple eyes are wide and blood shot as they stare seemly at nothing. Cold sweat has formed on his forehead and on the back of his neck, and his hands tremble at his sides.

It's late, the sun has long since taken its leave, along with the humans that reside in this realm. Leaving the god to explore the streets at their own pace. With an eager smile plastered over his face, he steps from window to window of the storefronts.

He speaks to no one as he points to seemingly random pieces of furniture or simple clothing. Finally, the yellow god stops in front of a display, inside are high-quality suits and ties in various colours that have been folded to look like little birds.

"Oh, isn't that just wonderful! I wonder how they manage to get them to look like that." Hastur murmurs to their imaginary friend. "Humans are so creative, aren't they?"

Feeling eyes on him, the man peers over his shoulder. In his hand is a shifting obsidian coloured dagger. Despite its dark colour the blood is stark and hard to miss, even more so as it drips from the tip splattering on to the floor beneath him. Maybe this isn't what it looks like?

Don't mind him. He's just bent over double, hands on either side of his head.

Smoke flutters around their feet as they arrive, lapping at their taloned feet as they step away from their starting point. Idly in one hand, they appear to be holding a long spindly human arm. Except the liquid leaking from it isn't crimson, it's a deep oozing blackness. "Idiot." The god mutters to themselves, not noticing their guest.
