@sparedson            /            wanted a fun starter.
❛ Do you ever take that damn thing OFF? Have you never once considered to switch colors, or STYLES? Instead it’s become a part of your face - maybe it doesn’t come off at all. ❜ Aegon’s face crinkles when he THINKS &&. stares at the back of Aemond’s head.
He has entered Aemond’s chambers in the early morning            /            dodging early kingly duties to bother his little brother            /            as his right, his DUTY. ❛ Put patterns on it, at LEAST, Aemond. ❜

In the truest of ways, Aegon is glad he’s not an only child. There is not a life out there where Aegon wouldn’t feel the void that his siblings had left: dead or non - existent, Aegon would feel them like a sky devoid of the sun. Though, he’d never say that - if they could not tell by just the way he looks at them, then perhaps the feeling does not truly exist.
He has much experience with non - existent feelings, unnoticed. Is it a real feeling if it is never acknowledged?
❛ My wisdom, if you’d listen, is that you should change the colors you wear sometimes. Or, when by ourselves - just us family &. servants, take that thing off. I swear, I have forgotten what you look like underneath. ❜
He rests his head on his palm, always infuriated by how tall Aemond is. A long, lithe brother - a luckier dragonrider - truly the best of them. He &. Helaena fight for the best child title of Viserys I. ( but they remain equal in Aegon’s eyes for best siblings. )
❛ My tongue is not so quick - witted, my eyes not so searing you’d not want me to look at you, right? ❜
it is a rare occurrence the huff that slips past his lips not being devoid of amusement. " anything is possible. " it is perhaps not the worst idea his brother has had. though there was a time, as a child, aemond requested a tunic be made with a feature of vhagar and their mother denied him. he never tried again afterwards.
after aemond has dressed fully, he turns fully towards aegon. " rather i would consider that a miracle, dear brother, that you are not an only child. " the slight twitch of his lips show that his words are a mere jest.
the young prince hums then. he does not yet question the truth of his answer. " i see. and what wisdom will you impart on me ? "

Draped not unlike fabric on one of Aemond’s armchairs, with his chin on his forearm, and his eyelids drooping. He WAS told to wake up for some early meeting, &. then he didn’t care about it - the council can talk on their own time, they don’t need to also waste Aegon’s.
Aegon’s eyes twinkle. ❛ Oh, I will. You think they can paint Vhagar that small? ❜ That would probably the smallest that dragon has ever been, unless it was during gestation. Aemond’s sarcasm doesn’t reach him; he talks anyway.
He notes the staring thing, for later. Surely the king can do something about that?
❛ You owe my company your life. It was only after I was born that Mother realized she wanted another. You’re welcome. ❜
Aegon pauses. He considers lying. &. figures Aemond will know even if he did.
❛ No, that was pretty much it. You’re due the king’s wisdom, Aemond. ❜
a deep sigh sounds from the young prince. " good morrow, aegon. " it is not particularly rare for him to find peace and quiet but it is unusual to be pestered by his brother so early in the morning. perhaps his newly found duty as king has persuaded him into some form of evolution.
" the lords and ladies at court stare less with it on, " he murmurs, fixing the belt wrapped around his tunic. " perhaps you should commission me some patterned ones, brother. one with a green dragon, even. " aemond speaks with sarcasm but he figures aegon will pay no mind to it either way.
" to what do i owe the pleasure of your company ? surely you did not come to pester me about my appearance. "
